Tenerife Top 10 Things to do and see.

Our top 10 best things to do and see in Tenerife. Visit Tenerife and enjoy this beautiful island...

???? Vlogs Tenerife:
- What to do in Tenerife:
- Top Beaches Tenerife:
- Around Tenerife in one day:

In this video you will see:
- Las Teresitas Beach is the most emblematic beach in Tenerife. This artificial sandy beach is about 1,5 kilometers long with calm waters thanks to the breakwaters, making it an ideal option for families with children. You will find all the amenities right on the beach (showers, lifeguards, disabled access) with a lot of parking places and some beach bars.
- Acantilados de Los Gigantes (Cliffs of the Giants) are vertical cliffs along the western coast of Tenerife. They are vertical walls reaching heights of 500 meters in some places. The Giants, a grand part of the natural heritage of Tenerife, is a great spot for nature lovers.
- Access to the coast of El Sauzal. The access road for vehicles is located at the entrance to the Las Breñas. Summer hours: from 08:00 to 22:00. Hours for the rest of the year: from 08:00 to 19:00.
The parking area is made up of 8 parking lots for motorcycles, with unlimited hours and 31 parking lots for cars, subdivided into: some with limited hours, restricting their use to two hours and others with unlimited hours.
- Garachico is located in the north of the island of Tenerife. The town offers visitors the opportunity to explore one of the oldest villages in the Canary Islands. Founded at the end of the 15th Century by a Genoese banker, it was a key trading port for commercial traffic between Europe and the Spanish colonies in the Americas. Destroyed in 1706 by a volcanic eruption, Garachico is one of the most beautiful towns in Tenerife. The natural pools El Caleton are extremely popular during the summer months when tourists and locals come here to swim. These pools were formed after the 1706 volcanic eruption.
- Castro Beach is located in the north of Tenerife in the region of Los Realejos. This beach is relatively hidden and must be reached through the protected area of the Rambla de Castro.
Here you can find the only beach with a waterfall on Tenerife island and with a hidden cave. From the viewpoint San Pedro you can take one of the 2 trails leading you down to the beach. Tip - Before going to Playa de Castro make sure that it is low tide, otherwise the sandy beach is hidden under water and just rocky.
- Loro Park is one of the best modern zoos in the world. At Loro Park you can watch the orcas and the dolphins with their top performance. The Park is famous for its many parrots which you can view and enjoy as you move around the park. There are also plenty of other shows and sights - sea lions, parrots, pelicans, chimps and even sharks. Siam Park known as the best water park in Europe needs no further introduction.
- Anaga Rural Park is a natural jewel of the island of Tenerife. This mountainous region full of craggy peaks and deep ravines was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2015. This area is the oldest part of Tenerife as it was formed by a volcanic eruption 7 to 9 million years ago. Here you will find Tenerife's most wonderful areas of laurel forests. Here you can experience hiking, mountain biking, horse riding or if you are more of a sea lover, make the most of the area's good winds by going sailing, diving, crown the Atlantic's powerful waves on a surf board, steer a kayak wherever you want. Attention: Inside the Park there are several specially protected areas where access is restricted.
- Mil Ventanas de Güimar is without a doubt one of the most unique and amazing hikes in the world really. With its dark tunnels, narrow paths, steep vertigo-inducing drop-offs, incredible views, it has everything a true adventurer may desire. I wouldn’t recommend it to people who suffer from claustrophobia or extreme fear of heights. Also, keep in mind that this is not an official trail and is not maintained. To put it simply, if you do this hike, you do it at your own risk.
- Masca Village is generally considered Tenerife's prettiest village, and outside the hours of 11am and 5pm, when streams of crowds visit the village, it's hard to argue with this opinion. The Barranco de Masca is one of the most popular hiking trails in Tenerife, Canary Islands. The hike is difficult, and you must be in good physical condition to do it, but I assure you that it’s well worth it!
The access to the trail is restricted and you need to visit before
Hiking Teide by Night and seeing the sunrise from 3718 meters high was the most impressive experience in Tenerife.

Güímar - Tenerife, Islas Canarias- España

7 de agosto del 2021.

02052013 Pirámides de Güímar. Pyramids of Güímar.

Mysterious and controversial, but still worth a visit, especially for the very nice garden next to it, the great documentary about adventurer Thor Heyerdahl and his travels and the Rapa Nui exhibition.
The site is very well maintained and organized, but they emphasize a little too much on the Thor Heyerdahl theory, ignoring pretty much all other theories about the origins of the Pyramids.

From Wikipedia.
The Pyramids of Güímar refer to six rectangular pyramid-shaped, terraced structures, built from lava stone without the use of mortar. They are located in the district of Chacona, part of the town of Güímar on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. There are claims that the structures have been dated to the 19th century and their original function explained as a byproduct of contemporary agricultural techniques. However, results of excavations have so far proved inconclusive.

Other pyramids employing the same methods and materials of construction can be found in various sites on Tenerife. In Güímar itself there were nine pyramids, only six of which survive.

Pyramids of Güímar - Tenerife, Spain

The Pyramids of Guimar are made of the six rectangular pyramid-shaped, terraced structures, built from lava stone without the use of mortar. The structures have been dated to the 19th century and their original function is still being under debate. Local traditions as well as surviving images indicate that similar structures could once have been found in many locations on the island.

The Pyramids of Guimar (Tenerife)

A clip from my visit to Tenerife last year. This was the first time I'd gone to see these pyramids (despite going to Tenerife three times previouly) and I didn't quite know what to expect.

These pyramids aren't the typical shape, but they do have astronomical connections!

Route:
???? Best excursions in Tenerife with discounts:

And I do not get tired of doing this path, I do not know what this place has, perhaps its incredible views, perhaps the route and the tunnels that you cross, or simply its silence.

One of the things that has caught my attention when I have been able to enjoy this place is the silence. Perhaps because the place is so recondito or simply because it is alone, there is a silence that makes the place all the more with a different charm.

Dangerous route for people with vertigo, since we go through quite exposed areas and not suitable for people with claustrophobia since they are tunnels, some of them quite long. For this reason its passage is prohibited, and whoever does it, obviously does so under his responsibility.

Spectacular work of engineering and effort, at a time when there were not the advances that there are today and therefore this type of work was done literally with pick and shovel. A struggle of the Canarian man to find water in the bowels of the earth.

Even more surprising to find in bibliographies of the time that this construction never came into operation, and therefore it was never used for what was truly intended. Things that I do not understand why so much effort for nothing ...

The windows are not only to give light to the long tunnels, but also to throw the debris from drilling the galleries, hence the name of the 1000 windows ...

Undoubtedly, the gallery is dangerous to travel through the height and the place that is traveled. Places like La Fuga de Los Cuatro Reales, where you can see the windows with vertical walls of more than 600m do not leave anyone indifferent, which also coincides with the head of another well-known ravine; that of Badajoz.

The starting point is the Mirador de Don Martin where a track leads to some television antennas. This first section can be done by car because it is paved but at this point you have to start walking. A steep slope will exhaust even the most sporty, luckily it is not very long until you reach the start track.

Once this spectacular slope has been overcome, it is only necessary to continue the small path that will take us to the beginning of the tunnels.

For those who are going for the first time, a crashed excavator is surprised at the entrance of the first tunnel that, due to a wrong turn calculation, made it fall down the embankment, unfortunately for the operator who died in such an accident.

This point indicates the beginning of the tunnels, from this moment 10 tunnels await us, which more spectacular and little by little we will go into the ravine and we will enjoy views as much or more of vertigo as spectacular.

Special care in the tunnels with the height, many of them are not high enough, so it is easy to hit the head.

After 10 tunnels the end is reached, this last tunnel is the longest by far, so if you plan to do the round trip as is my case, you have to pay attention to this last tunnel since it has a distance of 900m and it can get a bit overwhelming if you go both ways.

Undoubtedly spectacular place, on this last occasion I was able to make the tunnels with a thick fog, which made it with a more mysterious air than this place already seems ...

Puertito de Güímar & Güímar. Tenerife | 4K

Puertito de Güímar: beach Playa del Cabezo, Paseo de Las Palmeras; Güímar, Etnographic Park Pirámides de Güímar – Eastern Tenerife/ Teneriffa/ Teneryfa, Canry Islands, Spain.

Puertito de Güimar is a calm and picturesque town in the Canarian style located on the east coast of Tenerife in the Santa Cruz de Tenerife province. It has a fishing pier, a seaside promenade (Paseo de Las Palmeras), a yacht club and a long beach with black sand, known as Playa del Cabezo. This beach is about 1 km long and is sheltered by breakwaters. The village also offers holiday apartments, restaurants.

Güímar - a city in the Canary style in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, located in the eastern part of the island (towards the center of the island). It houses the Ethnographic Park Pirámides de Güímar, including the famous stone pyramids./

(4K Ultra HD 2160p)

A Dangerous and Scenic Walk to Las Ventanas de Güímar, Tenerife!

An EPIC little hike (approx 10 km altogether) NOT for the faint of heart!

Amazing views but also risky - there is a chance to get hit by falling rocks, at some points the trail has been eaten away by landslides and on many occasions you'd walk at the edge of a cliff wall so one misstep could be fatal - and because of that the trail is not officially promoted and people are warned against going there.

That's also why there's no map pin points in this video description - if You choose to take the risk against the warnings, it is on you and you should do your own research :P (If You go, we advise you to take proper footwear, headlamps and helmets or at least a thick cap like I did, because it would protect your head in case of hitting it against cave ceilings. If you are afraid of heights you should definitely consider not going!)
