????About Erdemli ????
Erdemli is a town and district of Mersin Province in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. Erdemli is located between the districts of Mezitli (to the east) and Silifke (to the west). In the north, Erdemli is bordered by Karaman Province and in the south by the Mediterranean Sea. The district extends from the Mediterranean coastal plain, the largest agricultural area in Mersin Province, to high in the Taurus Mountains where there is forest, and then a large area (half the land area of the district) is high mountain above the treeline. Erdemli is a quiet rural district where the people are conservative, and is traditionally a stronghold of Turkish nationalist politicians; however some departments of Mersin University are opening branches here which will surely have an effect on the cultural and social life of Erdemli in the future. There is no industry except some hand-weaving of rugs so the local economy depends on agriculture. The coastal plain is covered with citrus fruits, bananas, and various fruits and vegetables grown year-round in open fields or in greenhouses. High meadows in the mountains are planted with grain pulses and fruits such as apples, peaches, and cherries. At these altitudes there are also vineyards, olive groves, and fig trees. This is an attractive forested coastal district, and Erdemli is now attracting investment in infrastructure to develop a tourist industry. The coast is home to the endangered Mediterranean monk seal. The Middle East Technical University in Ankara has an Institute of Marine Sciences graduate school here, which has a biology group that monitors the seals.

Silifke Kalesi sonrasında Mersin Taşucu'nda Kasap Ümit'in yerinde yemek yedik. Mersin'in tarihi yerleri oldukça fazla. Mersin Silifke Uzuncaburç bir sürü turist ağırlıyor her yıl. Uzuncaburç yakınlarındaki Olba Antik Kenti'ni mutlaka görmelisiniz. Cambazlı Kilisesi'de mutlaka görülmesi ve gezilmesi gereken yerler arasında. Cennet Cehennem Mağaraları bizi en çok etkileyen yer oldu. Cennet Cehennem Obrukları'nı mutlaka ziyaret etmelisiniz. Mersin Cennet Cehennem Mağaraları yakınında Silifke Astım Mağarası bulunuyor. Silifke Astım Mağarasını görmenizi tavsiye ederiz. Mersin'de ne yenir sorularınıza bir cevap da Mersin sıkması. Mersin sıkmasını Mersin ve Silifke'de pek çok yerde deneyebilirsiniz. Mersin is a large city and a port on the Mediterranean coast of southern Turkey. It is part of an interurban agglomeration – the Adana-Mersin Metropolitan Area – and lies on the western part of Çukurova, a geographical, economic, and cultural region. The city was named after the aromatic plant Myrsine (Greek: Μυρσίνη) in the family Primulaceae, a myrtle that grows in abundance in the area (Turkish: mersin); the 17th-century traveler Evliya Çelebi wrote that there was also a clan named Mersinoğulları.
Mersin is an important hub of Turkey's economy, and Turkey's largest seaport is located in the city. Mersin's nickname within Turkey is Pearl of the Mediterranean (Turkish: Akdeniz'in İncisi) and the city hosted the 2013 Mediterranean Games. Mersin is the provincial capital of the eponymous Mersin Province of Turkey.
As of 2014, the population of the city is 955,106.

Mersin (pronounced [ˈmæɾsin]) is a large city and a port on the Mediterranean coast of southern Turkey.
As of the last 2020 estimation, the Metropolitan Province population was 1,868,757 inhabitants whom 1.050.301 lived in the built-up (or metro) area made of the 4 urban districts, making it the 12th millionaire built-up area of Turkey. As urbanization continue towards east, a larger metropolitan region with Tarsus and Adana is in making with more than 3,3 million inhabitants, the Adana-Mersin Metropolitan Area, and lies on the western part of Çukurova, a geographical, economic and cultural region.
Mersin is an important hub of Turkey's economy, and Turkey's largest seaport is located in the city. Mersin's nickname in Turkey is Pearl of the Mediterranean (Turkish: Akdeniz'in İncisi), and the city hosted the 2013 Mediterranean Games. Mersin is the provincial capital of the eponymous Mersin Province of Turkey.
