How to get to Anzac Cove WITHOUT A TOUR or GUIDE! We couldn't find much information so hopefully this helps!
Pleasantly surprised would be a massive understatement to describe our week in Çanakkale.
WE LOVED IT!
In this video we figure out how to get to ANZAC cove by ourselves during winter and without paying for a tour. turns out that it's not as easy as we thought! BUT there are some positives too.
We also head back to Canakkale and try 3 things we had our eye on the whole time we were there!

Eceabat used to be known as Maydos or its Greek name Madytos, its strategic position opposite Canakkale made it an important key position in the First World War. The town is also the nearest town to the Gallipoli Campaign and the war graves and memorials of the soldiers that fell in battle. For New Zealanders and Australians visiting Turkey, Gallipoli Peninsula (known locally as Çanakkale Peninsula) is an important site to visit because of the ANZAC involvement during WW1.
We took a day tour from Canakkale over to the peninsula to get an in-depth tour and history lesson while visiting the ANZAC battle grounds and memorial sites.

This video is based on my journey from Gallipoli to Canakkale. I hitchhiked from Alcetepe village to Eceabat. Travelled on a ferry from Eceabat to Canakkale for 4 Lira. Kale 30 topla donatılarak Boğaz'ın 1.250 metrelik genişliğinin top menzili içine alındı. Kale 1551'de Kanuni Sultan Süleyman tarafından güçlendirildi, Venedik'le süregelen Girit Savaşı sırasında Kilitbahir yenilendi. 18. yüzyılda Fransız subaylarının rehberliğinde genişletildi. III. Selim tarafından Napolyon Savaşları sırasında tekrar yenilendi.

Kilitbahir Kalesi’ni geçtikten sonra yolun deniz tarafında bulunan 26 adet bonetten oluşan Namazgâh Tabyası’nın, Osmanlı Ordusunun ıslahı için gelen Baron De Tott’un da önerisiyle inşasına başlanmıştır. Çanakkale Boğazı’nın en dar noktasına yaptırılan ilk ve en büyük tabyadır. Sonrasında eklenen yapılarla beraber,MerkezTabyaniteliği kazanmıştır. Burası Çanakkale Muharebeleri’nde, bölgedeki tabyalarda görev yapan bataryaların bağlı olduğu 4. Ağır Topçu Alayı’nın karargâh merkeziydi. Bu nedenle daima müttefik donanmasının başlıca hedeflerinden biri olmuştur. Tabyada 16 adet kıyı topu vardı. Bunlardan 2’si uzun, 14’ü kısa menzillidir. Bunlardan sadece 2’si deniz muhaberesinde aktif olarak görev yapmış, diğerleri ise menzil yetersizliğinden dolayı kullanılamamıştır. Tabyanın ana aksında yer alan mekânın savaş dönemindeSavaş Harekât Merkeziolarak kullanıldığı bilinmektedir. En son 2005-2006 yıllarında Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı tarafından restore edilerek 18 Mart 2006’da ziyarete açılan tabyada, Çanakkale savaş objeleri sergilenmektedir. Yapı içerisinde, 12 adet sergi panelinde muharebelerle ilgili tarihî bilgiler verilmektedir. ???????? Crossing the Dardanelles - Europe to Asia Minor, Anatolia
Once the ground for one of the fiercest battles in the First World War between the British and the Ottomans, nowadays, Dardanelles (a.k.a. Strait of Canakkale) is an important gateway between the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. While Bosphorus is famous and highlighted extensively in any medium for separating Asia from Europe, Dardanelles does not enjoy the same treatment although it is almost exactly same. From here also, anyone can change continents by taking a boat within minutes, even by swimming if desired. Hence, we exactly did that and took a ferry to cross from the European side town of Kilitbahir to Asian side town of Canakkale. We were able to put our car in the ferry as well which was a great break for our day long drive. The total trip takes around 10 minutes and if you are lucky, you can see the huge transportation ships passing by closely.

[4K]Top 5 Places to do in Turkey (enjoy with soothing music) !
We were in Turkey for 12 Days and covered 5 major cities for their inherited culture and attractions. We landed in Istanbul from India and then took a flight to Fethiye the next day. Got on to a self drive from Fethiye to Bodrum to Pammukale and finally to Cappadocia. What an amazing drive ..must do if you've a luxury of time.

Çanakkale is a city and seaport in Turkey in Çanakkale Province on the southern coast of the Dardanelles at their narrowest point. The population of the town is 186,116 (2014 estimate). Çanakkale is the finishing point every year for an organised swim across the Dardanelles from Eceabat. This event emulates the swim in 1810 by Lord Byron, who was himself emulating the legendary swim by Leander in the story of Hero and Leander. Çanakkale is the nearest major urban center to the ancient city of Troy, which (together with the ancient region of the Troad) is located inside Çanakkale Province. The wooden horse from the 2004 movie Troy is exhibited on the seafront.
