Durango Jeep Tour - Explore Durango Backcountry & Mountain Peaks | Mild to Wild Rafting & Jeep Tours

Durango Jeep Tour:

Discover the spectacular La Plata Canyon (20 minutes West of Durango) and its beautiful U formation created by glaciers on one of our Colorado jeep tours. Several small waterfalls and cascading rivers follow the rugged jeep trails in the springtime along with lots of wildlife such as marmots, mule deer, elk herds, juncos, kingfishers, turkey vultures, red-tailed hawks and bald eagles.

On our guided jeep tours you will see numerous wildflowers, high-alpine meadows and avalanche gullies. Following the La Plata River (meaning “Silver” in Spanish) to La Plata City, an old mining town established in 1875, you’ll discover the remnants of old mining claims. These include a tall intact chimney left from the crew quarters, the framework of old cabins, and tailing piles from actual mining areas. Then, you’ll continue to the peak of Kennebec Pass at 12,000 feet above sea level (also above tree-line).

Grand mountain vistas can be seen all the way to Cortez and Telluride from the top of the pass! High mountain peaks, river valleys, spruce-fir forests and high alpine-meadows can be observed from a bird’s eye view. The jeep trip returns on the same route so that guests will be sure not to have missed anything on the way up! Kids are extra entertained with our Mild to Wild scavenger hunt. Find the items on the checklist and get some fool’s gold! *Note: Trails are not well maintained and are quite rutted for a bumpy, interesting tour!

Is MEXICO SAFE? Who CARES?! | The AMAZING DURANGO, Mexico | FOREIGNER living in DURANGO! | 4K ????????

???????? DURANGO, MEXICO - Welcome back to Mexico everyone! We're back in Mexico once again (for the 7th time!) and this time it's time to come out of our comfort zone by heading to the northern states of Durango, Sinaloa, Chihuahua, Sonora and Baja California!

Foreigner moves to Durango, Mexico? That's right! In this, my first video from Durango (I'll be here for around 2 months, until mid-June) I talk through some first impressions, visit the spacious Plaza de Armas/Zona Centro, head up in the Teleferico (yes!) and devour some local food at a restaurant which was recommended to me.

The other point on my mind is around asking the questions, When will we stop asking, Is Mexico Safe?. Can we ever NORMALISE NOT IMMEDIATELY ASSOCIATING Mexico with danger, safety and cartels? Granted, these things are valid concerns, but they are valid concerns in ANY country. It's time we stopped singling out Mexico and think about the impact this 'danger' focus has on Mexicans.

If you're new, I originally left the UK in 2016 to travel for six months after selling everything. Over the next 5 years, I set up this channel, became an online teacher, writer, amateur photographer and Digital Nomad. I've travelled to and lived in over 50 countries in my life (over 30 in the last 5 years!) such as Mexico, Japan, Serbia and Colombia. I am in the process of gaining Polish citizenship by descent in order to become an EU citizen again and potentially move to Latvia long-term.

The point of The Tao of David is reflect the true reality of travelling full-time and working online. It's not always rosy. Sometimes it's a nightmare! My aim is to go against the YouTube grain of pretending to be shocked and provide a unique view on this lifestyle. I post videos on travel, digital nomad life and teaching English online, all with a typical British dark humour, wit and sarcasm!

Durango City: Discover the Old West - MEXICO w/Mike Vondruska - Travel Guide

In September, 2017 a group of travel agents went exploring in Durango, Mexico. It was a short 5 day trip which included travel to and from Chicago on Volaris Airlines. There are direct flights from Chicago 2 times per week.

This video will give you some highlights of places to see and activities to experience in the city of Durango and some of the surrounding area.

Some tour highlights are:
- Walking tour of the city
- Poncho Villa Museum located a couple blocks from the main church
- Checking out the outdoor murals at the Cultural Center
- Seeing the lazer light show at the Cutlural Center at night. Note that it is in Spanish but they do have this presentation in English. Groups can request a special showing in English
- Explore an old western town used as a backdrop in movies
- Outdoor adventures in Mexiquillo Nature Reserve (approx. 2 hours from the city)
Biking, Hiking, ATVs, Horse Trail Rides, Cabins to rent
- Sierra Otinapa Camp - Summer camp for kids, adult groups, and cabins for rent to families

The city of Durango is a 10 hour drive from Mexico City (888 km/550 miles), less than 3 hours from the city of Zacatecas, and about 3 hours from the resort city of Mazatlan to the west.

THIS is MEXICO? | NOMBRE de DIOS & El SALTITO | DURANGO | The Most BEAUTIFUL Place in Mexico?

NOMBRE DE DIOS, MEXICO - In this Mexico travel video, we are in Durango, in north-western Mexico, which is full of relatively unknown locations. We're visiting one in this video - could this be the most beautiful place in Mexico in 2021?

Nombre de Dios is a Pueblo Mágico (Magic Town), one of the many towns in Mexico part of the Pueblo Mágico initiative, designed to celebrate Mexican history and culture. It's home to Doña Aleja, a famous gordita restaurant in operation since 1957. It's quite possibly one of the best examples of Mexican food you could find!

We also head to El Saltito, a waterfall and lake surrounded by insane scenery, trees and sheer rockfaces!

This video is all about how travel requires a certain degree of childhood innocence in order to explore without fear or boundaries! I hope you like it!

If you're thinking about moving to Mexico or becoming one of the increasing number of expats in Mexico, your choices aren't limited to popular areas like Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Cancun or Puerto Vallarta. Durango is an area that, granted, you'll need to be able to speak Spanish in, but the city and state has so much to offer, just as much as those other places!

???????? MAJESTIC MAPIMÍ, Durango | MEXICO'S Ultimate MAGICAL Town | CERRO de la India | Mexico Travel

???????? MAPIMÍ, DURANGO - It’s time to revisit the GOD MODE state of Durango, Mexico for Part 28 of my 2022 Mexico Travel Series, this time coming to you from the MAJESTIC Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) of Mapimí!

I stayed in Durango for around 6 weeks in 2021, during which time I visited Puente de Ojuela which is actually closer to the cities of Gómez Palacio and Torreón (the latter in the state of Coahuila). Unfortunately, I was sick at the time and didn’t have the opportunity to visit Mapimí… a difficult to reach location in Northern Mexico. It was always my plan to have the Mapimí video as the final NORMEX video of 2022 before heading back to Mexico City!

As well as eating Gorditas de Discada (one of the awesome examples of Mexican food or Comida Mexicana in Durango, visiting the local church and exploring around town, we also head to Cerro de la India (India Hill - or high hill/stone/mountain in an indigenous language) and visit an abandoned church! In the area, you can also visit Zona del Silencio, Grutas del Rosario and other sights. The area very much reminded me of Nombre de Dios or Real de Catorce!

If you’re thinking of becoming expats in Mexico or moving to Mexico, you don’t have to move to San Miguel de Allende or Guanajuato or listen to the outdated ‘is Mexico safe’ rhetoric. Somewhere like Torreón or Durango may not be traditionally ‘pretty’, but it still has a tremendous amount to offer!

WHY is a BRITISH GUY living in DURANGO, Mexico? | MAJOR UPDATE! | Mexico Travel 2021

Welcome back to Durango! In this video it's time for a major update after a 5 month break from YouTube to focus on other things. I'm going to talk about topics related to being a Digital Nomad in Mexico, Mexico travel, what I've been working on, future plans and what it's like for a British guy living in Durango, Mexico.

Travel and Eat in Durango Mexico - Episode 3 (Part 1)

Join me as I travel around Durango Mexico. Hollywood's home of Old Western Movies. Durango is famous for it's scorpions and it's Scorpion Tacos.
I was told Durango was dangerous, the people were cold and conservative...but I met so many friendly locals everywhere I went it's pretty hard to believe the travel advisory for this place is considered high risk.

About the Channel:
Travelling to get the local perspective. A lot of research goes into each episode and it’s geared toward getting to know the locals first of each place and always turning left for food!

About the Youtube Creator: Sue Enrich
I spent 17 years in Finance - 7 of those years as a Trader while living in Toronto. I lived in Niagara on the Lake for 7 years to run a boutique winery and a country market.
I am taking a year off to travel and make Youtube videos of interesting places I find along the way to get the local perspective.
I have spent most of my life travelling but there is always more to see and discover.
I use my IPhone and GP7 to film.
