Durağan Gezilecek Yerler, Sinop Durağan Tanıtım, Durağan/Turkey Promotion Film
Sinop’a bağlı bir ilçe olan Durağan’ın kuzeyinde Dikmen ilçesi, batısında Boyabat ilçesi, güneybatısında Saraydüzü ilçesi, güneyinde Samsun iline bağlı Vezirköprü ilçesi ve doğusunda ise Samsun iline bağlı Alaçam ilçesi bulunmaktadır. Durağan ilçe merkezinin Sinop'a uzaklığı 120 Km'dir. İlçenin yüz ölçümü bazı kaynaklarda 910 km² bazı kaynaklarda ise 1034 km² olarak geçmektedir. Arazinin % 80'i dağlıktır. İlçe adını kasabada bulunan Durakhan’dan almaktadır. Bu han 1265 yılında Pervane oğulları zamanında yapılmıştır. Durağan, Osmanlı döneminde Kastamonu eyaletine bağlı iken, 1899’da yapılan yeni idari taksimata göre Boyabat ilçesine bağlı bir bucak/nahiye haline dönüştürülmüş ve 30 Mayıs 1954 tarihine kadar da Boyabat İlçesine bağlı kalmıştır. Durağan, 1 Haziran 1954 tarihinde ilçe haline getirildikten sonra 10 Mart 1955 tarihinde ilçenin belediye teşkilatı kurulmuştur. Durağan ilçesinin 2018 itibarıyla 5 mahallesi ve 70 köyü bulunmaktadır. Nüfusu ise 20 bin civarındadır.

ULUDAG MOUNTAIN BURSA TURKEY Best SKI RESORT in Turkey Uludağ Teleferik in Winter ????????
I recently visited the Uludağ Mountain in Bursa, Turkey, for my birthday in January. I visited Uludağ Teleferik in September (you can watch my video here: ) and wanted to come again in the winter, especially for the ski season. This was my first ever skiing lesson which I was fortunate to do in Bursa. The Uludağ Mountain can be reached via the Teleferik (also known as cable car). There was an extra cable car we had to take to reach the top of the Uludağ Mountain, and then further ski lifts to take for the skiing.
Since this was the first time I tried out skiing, I hired a Ski Instructor for 1 hour who was amazing. I learned so much from my first lesson and was able to ski down pretty much on my own (with the guidance from my instructor of course), after just 1 lesson! Skiing in Turkey was an amazing experience and this was definitely the best birthday I ever had!
Uludağ means 'Great Mountain' and it is the highest mountain in Bursa. Uludağ is a popular Turkish ski resort during the winter months, however, there is also a lot to do during the summer months.
There are many outdoor activities to do in Uludag. The cable car is one of the highest in Turkey and the journey takes about 30 minutes.

If you are looking for things to do in Bursa then do not give Uludag Ski Resort a miss. It was a short bus ride away from Osmangazi Bursa, and also accessible by taxi, so do go there when you visit Bursa.
The Uludag teleferik (also known as gondola or cable car) is a great way to travel up the great Uludağ mountain as the scenes going up and down are just breathtaking. There are also taxi drivers that can take you up to Uludag mountain.

Tour of Istanbul (Europe Side) ????????
Join me on a tour of Istanbul's European side. Would you rather see this city with the help of a knowledgeable local guide, or would you rather stumble your way around this city with yer man?
I think we know the answer to that, so let's go for a wee explore.
I started off in my Airbnb apartment in the Beyoğlu area and took a stroll through the backstreets where there are ancient hamamis (Turkish baths), antique shops, hip cafes and stunning classic architecture.
I followed those streets up to Taksim Square which is a major landmark in Istanbul and has many nice hotels, kebab shops and tricky ice cream sellers.
From Taksim Square I took the vintage local tram. Most of the trams in Istanbul are the new, fancy modern ones but they've kept one line in operation for the classic trams. It's a bit slow but you must take a ride on it at least once when visiting Istanbul.
The tram took me to near Galata Tower, which was Constantinople's tallest tower when it was erected in 1348. The view from the top is amazing and you can walk around and get a full 360 degrees panoramic look at this huge city from above.
I had a further wander around the backstreets and a lovely cup of fresh fruit juice from one of the local street vendors before making my way to the bridge to cross the Golden Horn.
Just before the bridge I saw a vendor selling Simit, a traditional Turkish bread. I kept seeing those vendors everywhere and had been meaning to try it for so long. I finally did and had mine with Nutella spread all over it, which I'm sure is the traditional way it was eaten hundreds of years ago by the Ottoman people.
After crossing the bridge I went on a Turkish Delight hunt. I wanted to visit the original turkish delight shop, Ali Muhiddin Haci Bekir, which was established in 1777. I bought some of their sweet treats on a short stopover in Istanbul 6 years earlier and they were indeed Turkish delightful.
Unfortunately it seems that Haci Bekir, like many independent shops in Istanbul, are closed on Sundays. Instead I went for Plan B and visited Koska, which has a bunch of branches all around Istanbul and seems to be popular.
I took a selection of their premium lokum and found a place to sit down outside and give them the taste test for you guys.
After so much sugar I was full of energy to go on a bargaining spree in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar. Unfortunately it too is closed on Sunday's, so I had to come up with a plan B to keep the vlog going. One hour isn't enough.
I walked all the way from the Grand Bazaar to the Blue Mosque, which was also closed. Well, it was closed to anyone who wasn't there to pray.
Somehow I came up with a plan C, which was to visit the Topkapi Palace. It was the home to the sultans of the Ottoman Empire for 400 years and is incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately they don't allow cameras in many of the interesting rooms, which is annoying. If they are opening the place up to mass tourism they should expect that people will want to take photos and videos there.
After spending at least an hour in the palace I re-visited the Blue Mosque, which was open to the general public again after prayer time finished. Unfortunately it was a waste of time because it was under renovations and the entire ceiling was covered, so there was nothing to see there.

Am traversat Turcia de la VEST la EST cu EASTERN EXPRESS ???? Cum am calatorit 12 ore cu trenul ????????
Vlogul de astăzi este puțin diferit de ce v-am obișnuit până acum. Este un episod despre călătorie, și când spun “călătorie”, mă refer la drumul propriu-zis care leagă două destinații. Dacă până acum vă povesteam despre locuri și oameni, astăzi o să vă arătăm cum arată o zi normală din viața a doi călători ce au decis să exploreze lumea în anii ce urmează ???? Ce-i drept, am trișat puțin! Am ales să filmăm acest vlog dintr-unul dintre cele mai populare trenuri ale Turciei, pe numele său Doğu Ekspresi ????
De ruta acestui tren am auzit încă de iarna trecută, pe când proiectul Life in Slow Motion nici nu era în plan. Plănuisem să facem o excursie către orașul Kars în luna Ianuarie, însă pentru că nu am găsit bilete de tren, nu am mai plecat. Citisem cum că această rută către granița cu Armenia se mândrește cu peisaje desprinse din cărțile cu basme ????
Fără dar și poate, trenul rămâne mijlocul de transport favorit și dacă am fi nevoiți să alegem o singură cale de transport, aceasta ar fi. Desigur, ideal ar fi să aibă aer condiționat și o toaletă decentă :) și liniște…și…pe scurt, nu am fost dezamăgiți!
