The most visited village in Spain! Guadalest on the Costa Blanca

Guadalest, famous for its rich history, its views and of course its castle. If you like the mix between glorious mountains, a little shopping, food and drink, explore Guadalest with us.
San José Castle is an 11th-century fortress built by the Muslims, located on the rock in the highest part of the city. Thanks to its strategic location, it played a very important role during the Middle Ages and modern times. The earthquakes of 1644 and 1748 and the blast died in 1708 during the War of Succession that followed, were responsible for its destruction. In the corridor between the sierras of Aitana and Xortá we find Guadalest. The well-kept historic quarter, of Arab origin, has been declared a historic-artistic site. It is a good idea to go to the Castle of San José, an 11th century Muslim fortress, which is accessible through a natural tunnel on the rock. From this fort, the visitor has a beautiful view of the surroundings. From the 11th-century castle of La Alcozaina, the only structure that remains is a tower.
In this town we should point out the parish church of Nuestra Señora de Asunción, dating from the 18th century.

Are you looking to buy or to sell a property in Spain? Living a luxury lifestyle here in Costa Blanca? Then you are in the right place.

Today we’re visiting Alquézar in Huesca, Aragón. One of Spain’s most beautiful villages...

What’s up guys? Patrick here, Tour Guide and Your Guide to Barcelona and more. If you’re new here, my channel is all about helping you get prepared for your next trip to Barcelona, or Spain in general, while uncovering to all those amazing places that this country has to offer! Today we’re heading outside of Barcelona, out of Catalonia to the region next door, Aragon. Specifically Alquezar, a magical town that seems like it’s frozen in time, the perfect place that I love to visit. So if you like the video check out some other that I have on my channel and don’t forget to subscribe to see more videos about what you can do to see the best of Barcelona and Spain as a whole!

Alquezar has been one of Spain’s most beautiful villages since 2015, and it’s easy to see why. The name comes from the Arabic Al-Qasr or Alcazar which was a fortress or castle. You might see these more in the south where Muslim influence lasted longer, so having an entire town with this name lets you know exactly what its purpose was in the past: a fortress.
The town dates back to the 9th century and was a military point under Jalaf Ibn Rasid to protect Barbastro from the Christian in the east. Taken by King Sancho Ramirez in the 11th century, the town began to expand and the fortress was turned into a collegiate church in 1099.

One of the four main entrances left to get inside of the city. Check it out.

All around Alquézar they have these things called callizos. Basically additions to the houses that added even more space. They say that what you could do was walk from one end of the town to the other without ever touching the ground.

During the Middle Ages the idea of witches really scared a lot of people and as a form of protection, wild boars ???? hooves were placed above the entrances of many homes to keep their spells away. You can still find some of these hanging on houses!

The thing you have to do is visit the Collegiate Church dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It was remodeled in the 16th century but was originally consecrated in the 11th century. It’s cloister dates to the 14th century and has some really great artwork within. Tours are lead daily throughout at a price of just 2.5€!

What you’ll find on the inside is a mix of Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and even Mudéjar style architecture, something not very common in a lot if these churches in the area.

Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed a little tour of Alquezar. If you liked the video don’t forget to hit the thumbs up and subscribe for more videos about some of Spain’s best villages and towns!

???????? Rural Spanish Cortijo FOR SALE in Dolores, Costa Blanca South, Alicante, Spain ???? | 13 500 m2

FOR SALE ???? Rural Spanish Cortijo (Country House) in Dolores, Costa Blanca South, Alicante, Spain ???? | 13 500 m2 Land | 7 000 m2 fenced | 350 m2 built

We are pleased to present to you this fabulous rural Spanish country house which has just gone on sale in the Costa Blanca South.

The house is located outside the city, so it has as many as three urban centers nearby: Dolores, San Fulgencio, La Marina Urbanization. In close proximity to a convenient road junction, which allows you to get to the beach in just 10 minutes.

Incredible amount of land, as befits a rural country house.
The 350 m² property sits on a huge plot of 13,500 m², of which 7,000 m² is surrounded by a magnificent garden, centuries-old trees, olive trees, a 9×11 swimming pool, a barbecue area, a covered garage for 3 cars and a guest house.

Casita, Guest House with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom
A separate word I would like to say about the amazing guest house with hunting style interior. The house is fully adapted for the life of guests or for rent. It has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, a cozy living room with a fireplace and a kitchen.

Large plot, spacious villa – splendor and room for imagination.
Entering the villa, the first thing we find is a generous fully glazed terrace of about 80 m2 in which the owner decided to install a fully equipped kitchen, an area with sofas and television, a pellet stove and everything necessary to enjoy all the days of the year.

Starting our journey inside the house, we find ourselves in a spacious living room with a double ceiling, divided into a dining area and a sitting area with a TV.
The entire ceiling is decorated with decorative beams imitating wood, which gives the room a very original air.

Continuing the tour we find the main kitchen which is brand new, incredibly cute and at the same time functional, warm and super cozy.
The kitchen is fully equipped with top brand appliances and finishes and carpentry done perfectly to the owner’s taste.

From the kitchen we have access to the laundry of the house.

On the same ground floor the villa has 3 bedrooms, each very spacious with fitted wardrobes and double beds, and 2 bathrooms.

The whole house is perfectly conditioned with an Air zone system.
Going up to the top of the house we find the master bedroom with a nice en-suite bathroom and an elegant dressing room and access to a private terrace ideal for reading a book or simply gazing at the stars before going to rest.

The villa has a huge open plan basement of 145 m² which would be ideal for a games room, gym, cinema room, more bedrooms or/and anything else that comes to mind.
