Tiny Tour | Lekeitio Spain | An absolute beauty in Basque Country 2019 Autumn
Here I need to apologize for not being able to reach the island, the path is getting extremely slippery when getting close to the island and the water was constantly pushed onto the path. I really wanted to reach it, but sadly I had to give up.
Lekeitio (Spanish: Lequeitio) is a town and municipality located in the province of Biscay, in the Spanish Autonomous Community of Basque Country, 53 km (33 mi) northeast from Bilbao. The municipality has 7,293 inhabitants (2005) and is one of the most important fishing ports of the Basque coast. Tourism has an important role during the summer seasons, when the town is a resort with one beach called Isunza and the nearby Carraspio beach in the town of Mendexa.

Hiking Dragonstone: San Juan de Gaztelugatxe in Northern Spain
Dragonstone is real and it's on the Basque Coast. Take a day hike in Northern Spain to experience the ferocity of the sea, the zig-zag pathway, and the magical view.
San Juan de Gaztelugatxe dates from the 10th century. It's been rebuilt several times over the centuries. Most recently, a fire in 1978 destroyed most of the church. The current building was re-opened in 1980.
It's an easy day-trip from Bilbao. Public buses run near the trailhead. We rented a car and visited during our Iberian road trip in June 2019. Pro-tip, visit on a weekday to avoid some crowds.
After your hike, sit at the cliffside cafes and enjoy some pinxtos and a radler beer.

Hiking Camino Del Norte - Day 2 : Zarautz to Deba. 23Km
My rating of day 2: little challenging. 3 stars.
# Top 5 tips :
1- Very nice walk from Zarautz to Zumaia. Than become little harder if you choose coastal trail.
2- Learn some Spanish basics as it’s getting little difficult to communicate with locals.
3- Always Carry enough water and some snacks.
4- Booking your accommodation in advance make it lot better when you arrived to your destination.
5- Wear a very comfortable shoes.
Enjoy. And Do Not Worry, Just Be Happy.
Darracott Camino 6: Markina Xemein - Deba - Zarautz
Two fairly arduous but obscenely beautiful days. First there was the fated 'leg breaker' day to Deba (24km) followed by the return to the coast for a magical hike to Zarautz (21km).

Camino del Norte - Episod 4 - Zarautz - Deba - (English subtitle)
Maj 2019, Jag vandrar Camino del Norte.
Vi fortsätter vår vandring och målet för dagen är Deba.
Det finns två vägval att göra från Zarautz.

Camino del Norte, 03: Zarautz a Deba. Camino de Santiago.
Otra dura etapa por el País Vasco. Se puede hacer más fácil si hacemos los primeros kilómetros por el paseo marítimo hasta Getaria. Desde este pueblo y tras conocer su iglesia gótica del siglo XV comenzamos a ascender por la calzada romana hacia Askizu y entre viñedos de “txakoli”. Descansamos junto a una barca decorativa y bajamos hasta Zumaia. Lo primero que vemos es el Espacio Cultural Ignacio Zuloaga. En el centro de la villa destaca la iglesia gótica de San Pedro.
Volvemos a subir. En Elorriaga vemos una ermita del siglo XIV. Desde aquí podemos dirigirnos hacia Deba o seguir por el camino oficial a Itziar. Elegimos lo segundo y sufrimos de verdad. Este tramo tiene posiblemente las cuestas más duras de todo el Camino del Norte. Una vez en Itziar paramos para almorzar.
Desde aquí el camino desciende hasta Deba, junto al mar. Destaca la iglesia de Santa María por su portada policromada y poseer el primer claustro de Gipuzkoa. Es Monumento Nacional. Acabamos el día descansando en la playa de Deba. No volvemos a ver el mar hasta dentro de unos días.
