Güzeldere köyünden geçen Bıçkı Deresi üzerinde bulunan şelale 120 m yükseklikten dökülen suyun doğal coşkusunu dev kayın ve gürgen ağaçlarıyla bütünleştirerek muazzam bir görüntü arz etmektedir. Kışın beyaz yorganını örten, ilkbaharda ise ormangülleriyle canlanan Güzeldere’nin en görkemli zamanı ilkbahar ve güz mevsimi. İlkbaharın ve sonbaharın renk cümbüşüne dönüşen tonları bir tabloya benzetiyor bu nadide tabiat köşesini. Güzeldere Şelalesi, doğal peyzaj bitki örtüsü, piknik alanları, düzenlenmiş orman içi dinlenme yerleri ve yürüyüş parkurları ile bölgenin önemli doğal değerlerindendir.
Bölge trekking, kampçılık, bisiklet, foto-safari vb. aktiviteler için oldukça uygundur. Elmacık Dağı (1700 m)’na uzanan şelale ve çevresi orman yapısı ile de dikkat çekmektedir. Şelalenin bulunduğu alanda, kayın, gürgen, köknar, porsuk, sarıçam, karaçam, kestane, ıhlamur, akçaağaç, dişbudak, ceviz, orman kavağı, orman söğüdü, orman gülü, karayemiş, papaz külahı ağaçları; böğürtlen, üvez, alıç, taflan, kantaron otu, kardelen, arap sümbülü, sıklamen, menekşe, düğün, eğrelti, fiğ, burçak gibi bitkiler de görülmektedir.

Samandere Şelalesi Tabiat Anıtı - Samandere Waterfall
Samandere Şelalesi Tabiat Anıtı, Düzce ilinin merkez ilçesine bağlı Samandere köyünde bulunan Samandere Şelalesinin bulunduğu alan. Düzce'nin 26 km güneydoğusundadır. Şelale çevresi Çevre ve Orman Bakanlığı'nca 19 Aralık 1988'de Tabiat Anıtı olarak tescil edilmiştir. 10 hektarlık alanda çavlan, çağlayan ve dev kazanı gibi ilginç jeomorfolojik özellikler ve yer yer anıt ağaçların da var olduğu zengin ve bakir bitki örtüsüne bulunmaktadır. Alanda piknik, kamp, doğa yürüyüşü alanları, düzenlemiştir.
Samandere Waterfall (Turkish: Samandere Şelalesi) is a waterfall in Düzce Province, northwestern Turkey. It is the first ever registered natural monument of the country. The waterfall is located in Samandere village of Beyköy district, 24 km (15 mi) southeast of Düzce. It is 15 km (9.3 mi) far from Beyköy. The waterfall is on a tributary of Uğur Creek, which flows into Lake Efteni. There is a cave in upstream of the waters forming the waterfall, which submerge and outcrop there. The area consists of monumental trees along the 500 m (1,600 ft)-long stream, three waterfalls and a deep canyon called Cadı Kazanı (literally: Witches Cauldron). The site is a popular visitor attraction, which offers campsites, picnicing areas and hiking trails for outdoor recreation. The waterfall site features a footbridge and observation decks with railing.
