Eid day in Tashkent | EP-10 | How I Spent My Last Day in Uzbekistan

Eid day in Tashkent | EP-10 | How I Spent My Last Day in Uzbekistan
In this vlog, I will explain the Eid day which I spent in Tashkent. In addition, it was my last day in Uzbekistan before I headed to Tajikistan.
As I already visited Tashkent on my arrival in Uzbekistan, the Eid day was very relaxing for me. I wandered into the city as per time which was a great one on Eid day. First of all, I went to the Fly Dubai office to get an alternative to my canceled flight. Sadly, it was closed. Besides, the Plav center and Amir Temur Museum were also closed. However, I spent a few hours in the park beside the memorial of the Victims of repression. Later on, I went to Broadway Boulevard in Tashkent to see the hustle and bustle of the lively street. At the end of the day, I spent a chitchat session with Mr. Sardar(Uzbekistan) and Mr. Ferdoss(Afghanistan)
How to Get Around Tashkent
In Tashkent, you have a lot of options like Metro, Buses, Marshrutkas, mini Buses, Shared Taxis, and Yandex taxis. Google map is your best companion to show you the exact route with available transfers and estimated travel fares. Bus/ metro fare for one visit is 1400 Som(15cents). There are metro stations near all the must-see places
Visited places for this day were
• Alisher Navoi Park
• Tashkent Pilav center
• Memorial of the Victims of repression
• Tashkent TV Tower
• Amir Temur Museum
• Broadway Boulevard

Amir Temur Museum

This Museum is dedicated to Amir Temur and shows the history related to him. There are more than 5,000 artifacts in the museum collection, with more than 2,000 displayed in museum exhibition halls. In particular, the museum displays focus on the genealogy of Amir Temur, his coming to power, and the military campaigns of the Timurid Dynasty.

The Tashkent TV Tower

With its 375 meters in height, it is the 11th tallest tower in the world. You can take the elevator to the 6th floor and enjoy the panoramic views over the city from the observation deck.

Broadway Boulevard

A street from Amir Temur square to Independence square is a very popular place for the locals to enjoy time with their friends and families. It’s particularly nice to walk there during the early evening when Broadway Boulevard is illuminated by all kinds of lights.

MEMORIAL TO THE VICTIMS OF REPRESSION

Just on the opposite side of the TV tower, you can find a beautiful green park. The Chirchiq river flows beside the park. Here you can visit the memorial and museum that is dedicated to the people who fought for the independence of Uzbekistan during the Soviet Union time and who were killed by the government.

ALISHER NAVOI NATIONAL PARK

We visited Alisher Navoi park some other day. It has a beautiful palace, a couple of beautiful monuments, the Uzbek highest flagpole, and an I Love Uzbekistan signboard for your selfies.

Best Cities to Visit in Uzbekistan!

Best cities to visit in Uzbekistan!
Have a relaxed yet fulfilling wholesome vacation with ME in Uzbekistan this winter.

I explored this beautiful country and experienced the hospitality of its people earlier this year. I cannot wait for you to feel the way I did. The people are so welcoming, the architecture is marvelous and the shopping is enticing. (Bring an empty suitcase ????)

There is too much to explore in this country however I take you on a journey to the 3 most important cities that touch everything you can expect from a vacation. History, Beauty, Food, Shopping and Astonishing Nature.

I’m hosting a trip this winter to Uzbekistan for 6N/7D. Believe me when I say, it’s too short a time to explore everything. But I like to keep my trips well balanced and relaxed. Dates are Nov 18-24. If you wanna know more, drop me a dm. Let’s chat.

Uzbekistan/Heart ofTashkent (Amir Timur Square) Part 26

Tashkent (Tashkent, city of stone)
Tashkent, ex-Soviet Central Asia’s largest city (pop. 4,5 million), does not get a lot of love from the traveling community. With its monumental city planning and endless traffic jams, Tashkent fails to live up to the image of Uzbekistan conjured up in tourist brochures focused on Bukhara, Samarkand and Khiva.
If you are entering and leaving Uzbekistan through Tashkent, we recommend you get out of the city soon after your arrival. Tashkent is best visited on the way back, when you might care to eat something other than plov and somsa and might actually even welcome a bit of big-city buzz; in this respect Tashkent serves as a halfway house between your holiday experience and the world back home.
Also, the museums make more sense after you have visited the places where the art came from.
History: It does not seem so at first sight, but Tashkent is an old city. A fertile oasis fed by the Chirchik river, bringing meltwater from the Tien Shan mountains nearby, settlement probably started more than 2000 years ago. Once called Chach, then Shash, the city got its current, Turkic name from its Karakhanid rulers in the 10th century:
Half a century later Tashkent still retains much of that Soviet spirit. Broad avenues lined by oak trees take aim for imposing solitary buildings in manicured surroundings. Although many Russians and Jews left after independence, people with roots from all across Eurasia can still be seen knocking melons and squeezing tomatoes at the bazaar. A sense of forced peacefulness and security are pervasive amidst the gentle splash of fountains.

Exploring Uzbekistan | Episode 03 | Chimgan mountain #ExploringUzbekistan #EP01 #FoodNTravelHub

In this video we are showing the landscape beauty of Uzbekistan including chimgan mountain and charvak lake

The tourist skiing complex Chimgan is located 85 km (52.8 mi) away from Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, in the spurs of Chatkal Range on the height of 1,600 meters (5,249 ft.), in the Western Tien Shan mountains, surrounding Tashkent from the East. There are hotel complexes and cottages in this ski center.

Lake Charvak (Uzbek: Chorvoq; from Char bagh, four gardens in Persian) is a water reservoir in Bostanliq District in the northern part of Tashkent Region, Uzbekistan, separating Ugam (north), Pskem (east), and Chatkal (south) ranges. The reservoir was created by erecting a 168 m (551 ft.) high stone dam (Charvak Hydropower Station) on the Chirchiq River, a short distance downstream from the confluence of Pskem, Ko'ksu and Chatkal rivers in the western Tian Shan mountains, which provide the main volume of water. Currently the confluence cannot be seen and all three rivers discharge directly into Charvak. The reservoir capacity is 2 km3 (0.48 cu mi)

So sit back and enjoy the tour of Uzbekistan. In this video we are showing the landscape beauty of Uzbekistan including chimgan mountain and charvak lake

Some practical information:
As the roads aren’t marked, our mountain guide will accompany us safely.
The best time is late March to mid June and from August to November.
Difficulties of tracking: Low-medium.
Families welcome you for a few days in the pretty villages. You ascend rivers to sink into the mountain where you can observe wild horses and eagles. The people settled in mountainous areas have planted fruit tree orchards and walnut trees in the valleys near the mountain rivers. Irrigation systems are still at the base of the beauty of this green landscape, centuries old. You'll stay with really nice and open people who know how to share with noticeable pleasure all the secrets of their village and the surrounding mountains. Life is simpler, and we find that feeling of calm and relaxation often lost in the cities! In summer, travelers can choose to sleep on the tapchans in the gardens or in the rooms. Taptchan is a place where we can sleep in peace without being importuned by insects in summer. From all guest house, short hikes of one to three hours can be taken into the mountains to visit waterfalls, petroglyphs, ancient ruins or simply to admire the flora and fauna and breathtaking views. The setting is enchanting, and contact with the local people is very easy.
This program also includes cultural visits of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and a bucolic halt in nature will make you appreciate the other facet of Uzbekistan.
