I Fell In LOVE With CADIZ, SPAIN (Why Does NO ONE Come Here?)
In this Cadiz, Spain Vlog, I take you with me as I explore my new favorite place in Spain, showing you what to do with 1 day in Cadiz, Spain. Before visiting Cadiz, Spain I didn’t know too much about this city as not many people I met during my travels have been to Cadiz, Spain before. But, oh man, did I fall in love with the magical city of Cadiz, from its old town center to the beautiful beaches and incredible architecture. I hope you enjoy my Cadiz Spain tour!
To start off my Cadiz Spain Vlog, I went to a beautiful cafe in Cadiz old town called El Cafe de Ana. After a delicious breakfast I walked to the Cadiz Central Market to experience local life in Cadiz, Spain and watch tons of people buy and sell fresh fish. Next on my Cadiz Spain Travel Vlog, I climbed to the top of Tavira Tower for incredible views over the city of Cadiz. The views from the top of Tavira Tower are absolutely spectacular. You have amazing views over the Cadiz old town and the beautiful blue water. Visiting the top of the Tavira Tower is definitely one of the best things to do in Cadiz, Spain.
Next up on my Cadiz Spain tour, I walked to Genoves Park, which is the main park in Cadiz. After roaming around the park, I walked to the Santa Catalina Castle, which is one of my favorite places I visited in my Cadiz Spain Vlog. Right next to the Santa Catalina Castle is the main city beach in Cadiz, Spain called La Caleta Beach, which is a must visit in Cadiz. I also tried to visit the Castle of San Sebastian but it was unfortunately closed during my time in Cadiz, but the walk to the castle was still gorgeous!
For lunch in my Cadiz, Spain Vlog, I went to a neighborhood called La Vina to get some delicious fresh fish for lunch. The La Vina neighborhood is a great place to walk around and enjoy the city of Cadiz. Next on my Cadiz Spain tour, I went to the famous Cadiz Cathedral, which is absolutely stunning and a must visit in Cadiz, Spain. After admiring the Cadiz Cathedral, I went to another one of Cadiz, Spain’s many beaches called La Playita / Playa de las Mujeres / Playa de Santa Maria Del Mar. This is a great place to both swim and surf, depending on the conditions!
I hope you enjoyed my Cadiz Spain Vlog and tour of Cadiz Spain! I still don’t understand why more people don’t visit Cadiz, Spain, because I fell in love with this city and I hope to go back soon!

Spain is a complex country! It’s also a pretty easy going one. But there are certain things that you just don’t want to get wrong. And here they are!
11. Don’t go OTT on please and thank you.
In Spanish we just don’t use the words as much. We are more likely to work ‘please’ and ’thank you’ into the tone of how we speak, or by tweaking the words (such as adding “ito” to the end of a word).
10. Don’t put bread on your plate.
In Spain, you always leave your bread beside your plate on the table. It sites beside your cutlery, because it kind of is a piece of cutlery.
9. Don’t eat with your hand under the table.
I grew up with no elbows on the table. But here in Spain we also have the rule that you should have your hands above the table at all times. Because you might have a knife??
8. Don’t offer guests a beer at 5pm
Because we eat lunch and dinner later, beer o’clock is usually about 8pm… not 5pm.
7. Don’t help with the dishes after parties.
It’s just not something that’s done here. At the end of a party or dinner party, you might help tidy up slightly, but you don’t help do the dishes.
6. Don’t be a ‘pesado’ in social situations.
Chill out! Don’t ask people what their job is straight away when you meet them in a social setting and don’t expect people to cut to the chase when telling a story - we take our time here!
5. Don’t misinterpret loud conversations.
When Yoly speaks with her mother on the phone, it can get heated. But they’re not arguing - it’s just that conversations here often sound more intense.
4. Don’t generalise about Spain.
This is a highly regional country. So don’t assume that every region of Spain has the same language, customs or food.
3. Don’t call Catalan a dialect of Spanish.
Catalan is its own language - and don’t get that wrong (especially when speaking to a Catalan)
2. Don’t used ‘usted’ willy nilly.
Here in Spain we’re pretty informal and so don’t use “usted” unless we’re speaking with older people or in very formal situations.
1. Don’t mention the civil war casually.
The Spanish civil war and the dictatorship is a really complex topic, and still an open wound in Spain. So wait until you know someone pretty well before diving into the topic.

CHIPIONA, SPAIN. One of the most beautiful village in Cádiz.
Located in the province of Cádiz. Chipiona is one of the most beautiful villages in the south of Spain.
Hola, my name is Raul Leon. I'm from Seville but I grew up in the beautiful town of Cádiz. CHIPIONA, my family town.
With the largest lighthouse in Spain and the third of Europe, Chipiona is also famous for a special wine called moscatel. I will dedicate an entire video talking about this special fortified wine.
Chipiona is one of the most beautiful Spanish villages where the famous Rocio Jurado was born. She's a Singer who was considered one of the best in Spain. Rocio rests in peace in the cemetery of Chipiona where everyone can visit her mausoleum.
Because Chipiona is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, it is one of the important fishing locations in Cádiz. So in most of the restaurants you will taste some of the most delicious fresh seafood in the south of Spain.
Chipiona has some of the best beaches in Andalusia, Spain. In fact, it has the best curative seawater in Spain. Thanks to the high level of Iodine in the water.
Cádiz is in the south of Spain, and the south of Spain (Andalusia) is the hottest not just in Spain but in the whole of Europe. That's why many Europeans are coming to visit us because of the weather. And here in Chipiona, the high season is between May to October but July and August, the summer season has the highest number of visitors.

Bienvenidos a Chipiona! Situada cerca de la desembocadura del río Guadalquivir y de Doñana. El legado monumental de la localidad es un fiel reflejo de su genuino devenir histórico, remontándose sus orígenes al Imperio romano. El castillo (BIC) fue mandado construir por Guzmán el Bueno y terminado por los Ponce de León en el s. XIV.
Su edificio más emblemático es, sin duda, el santuario de Regla, que exhala un aliento neogótico. Erigida sobre una antigua fortaleza hoy día pertenece a la orden franciscana y alberga a la patrona de Chipiona. Destaca su escalera imperial que conduce al claustro mudéjar del siglo XV, los sótanos abovedados, los muros decorados con azulejos de Triana de 1640, el museo y la biblioteca.
Otros edificios de interés son la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la O (ss. XVI al XVII); la Capilla del Cristo de la Misericordia y el sanatorio de Santa Clara (primer sanatorio marítimo de España).

La Siesta de la Gaviota Stellplatz in Chipiona-Andalusien-Spanien, am Atlantik mit Strand!
Wir haben den Stellplatz Ende Februar/Anfang März 2022 besucht. in dieser Zeit sind auch die Aufnahmen zum Video entstanden.
Gebührenpflichtiger Stellplatz für 60 Mobile in Chipiona. Der Stellplatz liegt in Meer Nähe. Überwiegend ebener, teilweise schattiger Platz. Sandiger Untergrund mit Wiese, Rasen. Zentrum zu Fuß erreichbar. Am Platz: Video-Überwachung, Fahrradverleih, Strom. In der Nähe: Strand. Preis pro Nacht inklusive zwei Erwachsene: je nach Saison 20 - 30 Euro. Bei längerem Aufenthalt Rabatt bis zu 40%.
Wasser, Entsorgung Grauwasser, Entsorgung Chemie-WC, WC, Dusche, Hunde im Übernachtungspreis enthalten. Ganzjährig nutzbar.

Neuer Stellplatz Chipiona/Andalusien/kostenlos Etappenplatz Sevilla-Reisebericht Womo Spanien 2023
Unsere Wohnmobilreise durch Andalusien führt uns im Frühjahr 2023 auf den Stellplatz La Siesta de la Gaviota bei Chipiona, wo wir mit unserem Wohnmobil auf dem neuen Teil mit freier Platzwahl übernachten. Es folgt die Vorstellung des 2023 neu eröffneten Stellplatzes Area Autocaravanes La Laguna, der direkt in Chipiona 400 Meter vom Strand entfernt liegt. Weiter geht es zu einem kostenfreien Stellplatz, der sich gut als Etappenplatz Richtung Portugal/Algarve oder für eine Besichtung Sevillas eignet. Wir besuchen Christoph Kolumbus und die Santa Maria im Freilichtmuseum Muelle de las Carabelas sowie den wunderschönen Park Botanico in La Rábida/Huelva. Abschließend nehmen wir euch mit auf den Campingplatz Doñana Playa, der nahe Mazagón am wunderschönen Sandstrand mit dem Torre del Rio de Oro liegt.

Qué ver en Chipiona #4 (Roadtrip por Cádiz)
En nuestro Road Trip por Cádiz no podíamos irnos sin visitar el pueblo de la más grande, Chipiona. Situado en la provincia de Cádiz, Andalucía. Vimos una zona llena de autocaravanas, lo que no sabemos es si se puede pernoctar en ella. Os animamos a visitarla y a disfrutar de este precioso pueblo. Saludos!!!!
