Tour Zimbabwe – Part 2

Best places to visit in Zimbabwe

Harare City
Harare City is the Capital of Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls
This is a must see tourist attraction in Zimbabwe. Most people visit the falls between July and August when the weather is dry and less misty.

River Zambezi
The Zambezi (also spelled Zambeze and Zambesi) is the fourth-longest river in Africa, the longest east-flowing river in Africa and the largest flowing into the Indian Ocean from Africa. The area of its basin is 1,390,000 square kilometres (540,000 sq mi), slightly less than half of the Nile's. The 2,574-kilometre long river (1,599 mi) rises in Zambia and flows through eastern Angola, along the eastern border of Namibia and the northern border of Botswana, then along the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe to Mozambique, where it crosses the country to empty into the Indian Ocean.

Chinhoyi Caves
The Chinhoyi Caves (previously the Sinoia Caves) are a group of limestone and dolomite caves in north central Zimbabwe. Since 1955 they are designated as a National Park and managed by the Zimbabwe Parks & Wildlife Management Authority.

Bulawayo city
After Harare, Bulawayo is the second most visited town in Zimbabwe. You may also consider visiting Railway museum around the town to enjoy the view of a passenger coach used in 1904.

Mutare town
In this town you’ll have the art gallery and the Mzilikazi art and craft center to gaze. You can visit the Rhodes museum, the Aloe garden in the main park as well as the Vumba gardens. Then you can enjoy a wildlife view at the Chimanimani national park, Thompson Vlei and the Cecil Kop Nature reserve.

The Great Zimbabwe Ruins
It offers an impressive set of ancient stone complexes that are believed to have been built between the 13th and the 15th centuries during the existence of Munumatapa Kingdom.

ROAD TRIP ZIMBABWE: Travel Guide by 4x4 Camper for History, Culture and SAFARI

Welcome to Zimbabwe! This country has great nature, lots of wild animals, but also a lot of history and interesting cultural sights. We drive through the country from Botswana to see ancient rock paintings, rock formations, beautiful mountain landscape and many safari animals. We stay in the town of Bulawayo, experience the Zimbabwean culture and drive down south through Matobo National Park.

In the previous episodes you saw how we started this road trip in Cape Town South-Africa. From there we drove the Cape Namibia Route along the West Coast to look for animals in the Kalahari Desert. After that we crossed the border into Namibia, where we drove straight through the world's highest sand dunes in the Sossusvlei. We saw all the sights in Namibia and wend on a safari in Etosha National Park. After that we drove to Botswana and found ourselves stuck in bad weather. Luckily we got towed out of the mud, to continue the road trip among wild animals everywhere. Now we visit Zimbabwe and head on to the Kruger National Park, to finally deliver the camper in Johannesburg South-Africa again.

Our journey through Africa is part of a one and a half year trip around the world. We can even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia, the Philippines, Zanzibar & Tanzania, South-Africa, Namibia and Botswana, Zimbabwe is already destination number 25 on the big trip. We have also been away from home for over a year now. Follow us on this world tour, first in Zimbabwe and then to many more beautiful destinations in Africa! We still travel non-stop all year and film everything, with a new episode every week. Also take a look at instagram @woutoftheworld or

BEST PLACE IN ZIMBABWE ???????? | EASTERN HIGHLANDS | Nyanga National Park | Mutarazi Falls | Honde Valley

Zimbabwe is divided into 5 regions. Eastern Highlands is in region 1, meaning it receives a lot of rainfall. Region 5 receives the least rainfall, and these are areas like Matebeleland.

Eastern Highlands is in Manicaland Province in the eastern part of Zimbabwe on the Mozambican boarder. There are many attractions to this region which include; Nyanga National Park, Mutarazi Falls, Tea Estates, Honde Valley, Chimanimani, Vumba Mountains and many more. There are so many activities one can do at each of these locations. At Mutarazi Falls you have the Skywalk and Zipline. Plenty of animals to see in Nyanga National Park, Honde Valley has a nice scenic route where you can visit the world renowned Tea Estates of the Eastern Highlands. There is accommodation available there for those who want to visit and stay the night. This whole region would suit backpackers, hill walkers, mountain climbers, bird watchers, and scenic lovers. Farming is also prevalent in the region, with different types of crops and fruits harvested.

The family on my mother's side is from Honde Valley. It is my favorite place in the whole wide world. I am happy that my brothers, who have been living away in Ireland for while, are also starting to see the beauty of Honde Valley and Zimbabwe as a whole. We might be going through economic difficulties as a country but that's only monetary, just 1 aspect of life. That doesn't take away from the beauty of the country and the people that live in its boarders. The rains come every year and life goes on. People in region 1 are not affected by extreme poverty because they can count on the land and the rains to produce food.

There is a saying there, 'NO FOOD FOR THE LAZY MAN'.

I do these videos to promote areas like Honde Valley and Eastern Highlands to show you the gorgeous side of Africa that they do not show you. I grow in Mutare the city, so I am very familiar with this whole area and it is very dear to my heart. Home Sweet Home.

My brothers Ozmond and Solly both enjoyed their time in Zimbabwe. They have since written articles about their experience on medium, Like and follow their pages. The links are below.

MAP OF ZIMBABWE

greetings my friends. this is a map of Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in southern Africa. It is bordered by South Africa to the south, Botswana to the west and southwest, Zambia to the northwest, and Mozambique to the east and northeast. Its northwest corner is roughly 150 meters from Namibia, nearly forming a four-nation quadripoint. Most of the country is elevated, consisting of a central plateau (high veld) stretching from the southwest northwards with altitudes between 1,000 and 1,600 m. The country's extreme east is mountainous, this area being known as the Eastern Highlands, with Mount Nyangani as the highest point at 2,592 m.

The highlands are known for their natural environment, with tourist destinations such as Nyanga, Troutbeck, Chimanimani, Vumba and Chirinda Forest at Mount Selinda. About 20% of the country consists of low-lying areas, under 900m. Victoria Falls, one of the world's largest and most spectacular waterfalls, is located in the country's extreme northwest and is part of the Zambezi river. Zimbabwe has a subtropical climate with many local variations. The southern areas are known for their heat and aridity, while parts of the central plateau receive frost in winter. The Zambezi valley is known for its extreme heat, and the Eastern Highlands usually experience cool temperatures and the highest rainfall in the country. The country's rainy season generally runs from late October to March, and the hot climate is moderated by increasing altitude. thats all. please comment and subscribe for the best maps. goodbye.
