Vanlife Spain Snowy Mountains to Hot Springs.. Europe Travel
Come with us on our travel vlog as we continue our vanlife travels through Spain in Febuary 2023. Our first stop is El Perelló to get some winter sun on the beach followed by Valderrobres in the snowy mountains of Aragon, a short travel to Cervera Del Maestre to see the Castell de Cervera. Finally our favourite of all, the warm natural springs Fuente de Baños in Montanejos.

A few days in Madrid was never going to be enough to eat all of the amazing tapas and drink all of the vermut (although I DID give it a very good go!). I had fried calamari sandwiches, ate churros dipped in chocolate sauce, and had a delicious Cocido Madrileño to finish off the trip. I cannot wait to get myself back to Spain in two months and explore more of this beautiful (and delicious!) country.

Sobre La Rioja:
Antigua tierra de berones, pelendones y vascones, posteriormente reconquistada parcialmente a los musulmanes a mediados del siglo x, no fue hasta 1982 cuando firmo su estatus de autonomía. Se encuentra situada en el norte peninsular y esta bañada por el Río Ebro, entre otros de menos importancia.
Cruzada por el camino de Santiago y bañada por la historia de multitud de culturas, en ella podemos encontrar los monasterios de San Millán de Yuso y Suso declarados por la Unesco Patrimonio de la Humanidad, las huellas de los dinosaurios, primeros habitantes de La Rioja o el museo de arte contemporáneo de Haro.
Asimismo cabe destacar su amplia carta gastronómica y el reciente crecimiento de su turismo enológico a través del cual potencian y gestionan la riqueza vitivinícola de la zona.
Una idea: Visite el Monasterio de Suso en San Millán de la Cogolla donde se encuentra la cuna de las primeras palabras escritas en español que se conservan.

About La Rioja:
Ancient land to Berones, Pellendones and Vascones, Reconquered partially to the Muslims in the mid 10th century. In 1982 La Rioja was declared as an Autonomous Community. It is located in the North of the Iberian Peninsula at the banks of the River Ebro.
There is a path to Saint James' Way that crosses La Rioja, a land which has been the meeting point to many different cultures throughout history. The monasteries of Yuso and Suso have been listed as World Heritage Sites, and there are other interesting features to visit, like dinosaur footprints, or the Museum of contemporary art of Haro.
It is important to emphasize on the broad variety of typical meals La Rioja has to offer, and the growing industry of enological tourism, which helps to increase and manage the viticulture in the area.
A suggestion: Visit the Monastery of Suso in San Millán de la Cogolla, birthplace to the first written words in Spanish that have been conserved until our day.

Cervera es la capital de la Segarra Lleida Catalunya, y se localiza entre el collado de Les Savines y la ribera de Ondara, en la provincia de Lleida.La localidad desarrolla una gran actividad comercial, industrial y de servicios, especialmente relacionada con la agricultura. También es centro de una intensa vida cultural y artística, que se plasma fundamentalmente en la Casa-museu Duran i Sanpere, en los Cursos Internacionales de Música y en las tradicionales representaciones de la Pasión.
Tipica fiesta de El Aquelarre que este año ya son 40 ediciones las realizadas.
Aquí nacio y vive el Campeon del mundo de GP Marc Márquez conocido popularmente como El Tron de Cervera. En Cervera esta la sede oficial de su club de fans.
En Cervera se realizo las primeras cortes Catalanas en el año 1359 por el rey Pere el Ceremonioso.
Cuenta con la universidad de Cervera que fue construida después de la Guerra de sucesión 1714, después de cerrar varias universidades en Cataluña Felipe V con el decreto de nueva planta.

The short trip from the Spanish town Portbou, through the Spain to France border, and down through the French town of Cerbere (Cervera).
Coll dels Belitres is a 8-km trail near Cerbère, Pyrénées-Orientales. The route is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.

Miramar Apartment, Cabo Cervera - La Mata - Torrevieja
2 bedroom apartment with fantastic views. Situated on top of the famous Barlovento restaurant in Cabo Cervera. A small private beach in front and only 300 meters from the La Mata Beach.
This is the Torrevieja's longest beach with an extension of 2.3 km.
La Mata, a 2300 metres long and over 40 metres wide beach, is located at the Torrevieja's district of Torrelamata. To the south it adjoins the Cape Cervera, and to the north it delimits the area of La Mata Tower, which has given its name to this district.
It has a really long esplanade which runs all along the beach, where you can visit many chiringuitos and restaurants.
At the other side of the beach we can find a wide sand dunes area which are part of the Parque del Molino del agua --the waterwheel park-, and where you can find an original and highly recommended ship-shaped restaurant, the Queen Mississippi.
