Empuriabrava is a community in the municipality of Castelló d'Empúries, in the Alt Empordà (Costa Brava, province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain). Empuribrava is the largest residential marina in Europe, with some 24 km of navigable waterways.

#Empuriabrava (Spanish: Ampuriabrava) is a community in the municipality of Castelló d'Empúries, in the Alt Empordà (Costa Brava, province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain). It is located in the Gulf of Roses, surrounded by the Natural Park of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà, and is the largest residential marina in Europe, with some 24 km of navigable waterways.
Originally built on a swamp, Empuriabrava was transformed into a tourist community, initially planned in 1964 and completed in 1975. The town has more than 40 km of canals and a seasonal, summer population of around 80,000. The Greco-Roman acropolis of Sant Martí d'Empúries is nearby.
Its aerodrome (ICAO-code LEAP), immediately to the north of the town, offers a variety of air sports with services for all levels of skydiving.

Only in Costa Brava can you have the thrill of climbing the one Via Ferrata route above the sea in all of Europe, or skydive ten months a year from one of the best drop zones in the world, Empuriabrava. Not only that but you can also Kayak along the stunning Riu Ter, golf till your heart's content, and hike to ancient castles with views for miles… all under the perfect summer sun.
We kayaked the Riu Ter, hiked up to the ancient castle of Montgri and we skydived in Empuriabra, which is one of the top skydiving spots in Europe.
We tried out the only Via Ferrata above the sea, Cala Moli in Sant Feliu de Guixols, which was super fun. And the Costa Brava is also known for its golf courses so we shot a few balls at the Pitch and Putt golf course in Gualta.
After so much fun and things to do, we enjoyed the spa of the Ballena Alegre campground.
Overall it was a fantastic end to a fun-filled experience trying out a few of the different activities available in Costa Brava.

Visitamos Castelló d'Empúries (Castellón de Ampurias) en el Alt Empordá, en el Pirineo Catalán, muy cerca de Empuria Brava y como no, en la espectacular y famosa Costa Brava.
Una de las cosa que lo diferencia de los demás pueblos es que tiene el barrio de la Judería que veremos en el video. Y también visitaremos la Basílica de Santa María de Castellón de Empuries. Esta basílica tiene una historia muy curiosa y además dentro hay una réplica de la Sagrada Familia.
Dicen y parece ser cierto que Antonio Gaudí visitaba mucho este pueblo y entraba mucho a esta basílica Castelló d'Empúries, y es aquí en esta basílica donde se le vino a la mente y la imagen de la Sagrada Familia.
