1. Our list starts from the Urungach Jade Lakes, which are located 160 km from Tashkent, in the Ugam-Chatkal National Park. There are only 2 lakes - upper and lower. The upper lake was historically formed as a result of a rock collapse, which served as a natural dam. The lower lake is distinguished by ideal water purity due to the fact that water from the upper lake enters it underground, passing through a natural sand and gravel filter. They are named jade because of the color of the water in them: it is green, which is characteristic of jade.
2. Mountain range Khoja Gur Gur ota - which name means Father of all caves, is located not far from Boysun, in the Surkhandarya region. It is located at an altitude of 3720 meters above sea level. At the top, there is a beautiful view of a vertical wall up to 500 meters high, and on the other, of the endless expanses of Gissar with fossilized dinosaur footprints.
3. Another amazing place in the Boysun settlement is the Omonkhona healing spring, which is located at an altitude of 1217 meters above sea level. For several centuries now, a blessed stream of healing water for health and well-being has not dried up here.
4. One of the most beautiful places in Uzbekistan is the Paltau Valley, which is located 100 km from Tashkent, on the banks of the Chatkal River. Since ancient times, the mountains surrounding the Paltau Valley have been famous for an ore rich in iron content. The area is distinguished by a variety of mountainous landscapes.
5. One of the most amazing and outlandish places on the planet, full of mysteries and myths, is the Ustyurt plateau. Here everyone will find something for themselves: space landscapes, rich history, unusual and memorable fauna.
6. In the Surkhandarya region, in the Baysuntau mountain range, there is one of the most famous caves in the world – Teshik Tash, the name of which is translated as Leaky Stone. In fact, Teshik-Tash consists not of one, but of several caves, but the grotto in which the burial was discovered is popular among tourists.
7. In the vicinity of Tashkent, on the Pskem ridge, there is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes - Badak. The lake is located on the opposite bank of the Pskem river which bears the same name as the village of Pskem.
8. On the southern slopes of the Karatau ridge, 40 km from the city of Navoi, there is a unique natural-historical and tourist site - Sarmysh Gorge. Here, on the black basalt rocks polished by the winds, about 4 thousand petroglyphs (rock paintings) were discovered.
9. Arashan Lakes - one of the amazing places in Uzbekistan, which are located on the high-mountainous Angren Plateau on the border of the Tashkent and Namangan regions of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
10. At the end of our list of amazing places in Uzbekistan is Lake Aydarkul, which is located in the heart of the Kyzylkum desert. The shores of the lake stretch from the Nurata district of the Navoi region to the Farish and Mirzachul districts of the Jizzakh region.

According to the U.N. FAO, 7.7% or about 3,276,000 ha of Uzbekistan is forested, Uzbekistan had 635,000 ha of planted forest.

Darband Canyon, Boysun Village (Uzbekistan).
Derbent Canyon is a breathtaking natural attraction near Boysun, the south of Uzbekistan. Derbent translates as “Closed Gates” or “Narrow Passage”. This gorge runs for 7-8 kilometers and steep mountain slopes reach up to 400 meters high, final two kilometers so narrow that sunlight reaches the bottom only at noontime. Derbent Canyon can be reached by car via a good asphalt road. It is located 30 kilometers from Boysun.
It was the most convenient trade corridor for caravans moving from Kabul to Bukhara, each Silk Road caravan was obliged to pay a passage fee. Travelers and traders from India, China, Persia and even Spain were known to pass through these corridors, which came to be nicknamed the Iron Gate.
It leads deep into the Hissar Mountains and the Machaidarya River. There is Teshik-Tash Cave, the famous anthropological site in which the grave of a Neanderthal child was discovered in the 1930s.

Özlem Tunca’nın sunumuyla ekrana gelen Dünyayı Geziyorum dünyanın dört bir yanından ilginç görüntüleri izleyicisiyle buluşturmaya devam ediyor. Dünyayı Geziyorum bu bölüm Özbekistan’ın en eski şehirlerinden olan Semerkant’ta otantik bir geziye çıktı.
Dünyayı karış karış gezerek ilginç yaşam tarzlarını, benzersiz manzaraları ve geçmişten bugüne taşınan tarihi eserleri görme fırsatı sunan Dünyayı Geziyorum yeni adreslerle ekranlardaki yerini alıyor. Dünyayı Geziyorum’un bu bölümdeki durağı otantik mimarisi ve tarihi eserleriyle görenleri etkisi altına alan Özbekistan’ın Semerkant şehri oldu. Özlem Tunca Semerkant’ta ilk olarak şehir merkezine gitti. Dünyanın en eski yerleşim merkezlerinden olan Semerkant’ın tarihini anlatan Tunca, ünlü eserlerle dolu Registan Meydanı’nı gezdi. Görkemli mimarisiyle görenleri kendisine hayran bırakan ve zamanının ihtişamını bugüne taşıyan medreseleri gezen Dünyayı Geziyorum ekibi müze haline gelen medresede sergilenen ilginç eserleri görüntüledi. Dünyayı Geziyorum ekibi daha sonra İslam aleminin en önemli alimlerinden olan İmam Buhari’nin türbesini ziyaret etti. Türbeyi dolaşırken çok etkilenen Özlem Tunca duygusal anlar yaşadı.
Dünyayı Geziyorum ekibinin son durağı ise tarihin en önemli bilim adamlarından biri olan ve adı ayda bir kratere verilen Uluğ Bey’in rasathanesi oldu. Uluğ Bey’in ve zamanın önemli astronomi uzmanlarının çalıştığı rasathaneyi görüntüleyen Özlem Tunca izleyicileri için ilginç bilgiler verdi.

???? Performance of the folk-ethnographic ensemble Boysun in the framework of the festival Boysun bahori (Boysun Spring), which has been held since 2002.
☀ The international folklore festival Boysun Bakhori in year 2018 will be held on April 28-29 at the foot of the picturesque Baysun mountains (Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan), where the original ancient customs and traditions were preserved in an original form.
The purpose of the festival is to collect, show and preserve the heritage of the past.
☀ In 2001 the Baysun District was listed as Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The open folklore festival Boysun Spring where folk performers from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan take part, is included in the list of major cultural events of the region.
