Famous for it many holiday resorts such as Blanes, Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar and Roses, to name but a few, it is the perfect holiday destination.
The rugged coastline of the Costa Brava in Catalonia, offers plenty of things to see and do. Whether you are looking for a relaxing holiday by the pool or on the beach or a more active holiday, you will not be disappointed.
Airports:
The nearest airport that services the region of the Costa Brava, is Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO). The airport itself, is situated approximately 8 Miles (13 Kilometers South West of Girona. The airport, provides the perfect gateway to the region and the many towns, villages and resorts in the Costa Brava.
Barcelona Airport (BCN), is also another airport that many travellers use to reach the Costa Brava and is approximately 53 mIles (85 Kilometers) from Blanes. This makes getting from Barcelona to the Costa Brava and Costa Brava to Barcelona, very easy.
Beaches:
The coastline of the Costa Brava in Spain is famous for its coves and beaches and the many seaside towns along the coast, offer lovely beaches with crystal clear waters.
Diving:
Diving in the Costa Brava, is some of the best in Spain and is popular with divers, who come to dive the waters around the Illes Medes
Nightlife:
There is plenty of opportunity to party in the Costa Brava and one of the main resorts for nightlife, is Lloret de Mar. The majority of larger resorts, have several bars and clubs, that stay open well into the early hours.

Visiting Costa Brava is really an excellent way to
unwind, relax and take in some stunning coastal views
It has some great food, it has wonderful small seaside villages
Great beaches, I can understand why it was named one of the top destinations in the
world.
get off the highway and make your way to the coastal drive
the smaller roads take you to these interesting places
but they're also a really fun to drive
Woohoo road trip
we're here in Tossa de Mar and I gotta
say if you are driving Costa Brava or
Visiting Costa Brava
this is definitely one of the places
that you have to come. It's a beautiful
seaside village, it has a lot a great hotels
and an absolutely gorgeous beach.
Another great stop in Costa Brava is
Sant Feliu de Guixols. This is a town that's on the coast
it's beautiful and known for the 10th century monastery that's right behind us.
You can go in, give it a tour and check out the museum that's in there as well.
Just one of the great historic things that are along the drive here in Costa Brava
So we're here in the town of Port Lligat just outside of Cadaques
and we're up on the North Eastern tip of Costa Brava
and the hightlight of this town is going to the
Salvador Dali house where Dali himself
lived and decorated and designed it all himself
so make your reservations before hand online and don't be stuck like us
another thing that you have to do
when you come here to Costa Brava is
it hike coastal trail
this is just the best way to get the
feel for it
the landscape. As you can see behind me, the views are
absolutely stunning no matter where you. Yeah the Coastal Trail runs
the entire Costa Brava Coast, it's well marked
and I suggest just staying in a city and doing day trips back and forth.

The Costa Brava is one of the most beautiful areas of Catalonia and probably the whole of Spain. Its coast is lapped by the crystal waters of the Mediterranean and its interior overlooked by the spectacular and mighty Pyrenees.
The Costa Brava is a 160-kilometre stretch of beautiful, rugged coastline in the region of Catalonia in the North East corner of Spain. Natural beauty, endless miles of sandy beaches and summer sunshine. You'll find modern, international tourist resorts with high-rise hotels alongside unspoilt fishing villages, sheltered rocky coves and medieval towns with ancient castles. The Costa stretches from Blanes, North of Barcelona, to Roses near the French border.
TOSSA DE MAR:
Tossa de Mar is a municipality belonging to the county of La Selva, in the province of Girona, on the Costa Brava so this is a perfect place to enjoy its beaches.In the bay of Tossa is a small promontory on the beach, in which a medieval walled city lies, called the Vila Vella, who has seven round towers. Its origin is estimated in the twelfth century and was built to prevent pirate attacks. Inside are the remains of a church and the palace of the governor of the XIV century.
A dozen fine beaches and bays (most notably Platja Gran, Mar Menuda and Cala Giverola) and the imposing Cadiretes massif, ideal for exploring on foot or by mountain bike, make up the privileged natural surroundings of Tossa de Mar. The historic centre of the village is dominated by a towering 12th century wall which encircles the quiet streets and the seafaring atmosphere of the Vila Vella.
Imagine a place where you can travel in time back to a former age…Tossa is a real open-air museum where prehistoric remains overlap with Roman Túrissa, medieval Tursa and today's Tossa, one-time retreat for artists and intellectuals and now host town for tourists and visitors.This heritage gives evidence of all those people who loved this piece of land and made it their home, from now on also yours.

The Mediterranean town of Blanes is a popular tourist hot spot for Spanish holiday makers, as well as those from other European nations. EMPURIABRAVA
Empuriabrava (Ampuriabrava in Spanish) is one of the most unusual towns along the Costa Brava.Sporting nearly 24 kilometers (15 miles)1 of canals, and 5,000 private jetties, Empuriabrava is the largest residential marina in the world. They call itself “the largest Marina in the world “, an area with more water ways than even Venice. Whether this is a fact remains to be proved. Empuriabrava, however, has an immense number of canals, where boat owners have their own private moorings in front of their houses.Empuriabrava was built on a swamp in 1968 (at that time still Ampuriabrava). Today the place covers an area of over 503 hectares, about 10 % of the total area are canals or port, and this probably counts primarily for the popularity of the resort. From the tiniest boat to the biggest cruising yacht, everything can be found here.

Blanes is a town in the comarca of Selva in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. During the Roman rule it was named Blanda or Blandae. It is known as the Gateway to the Costa Brava. Its coast is part of the Costa Brava, which stretches from Blanes up to the French border. The township is 18.29 km². Blanes is a popular tourist town, and it is known for the Concurs de Focs d'Artifici during the Santa Anna festival; this event includes many fireworks.
Separated from Blanes beach by the Sa Palomera rock, S’Abanell beach is one of the longest of the whole Girona coast. It is over 2,380 metres long, stretching up to the mouth of the Tordera river.
One of the botanical gardens in Blanes is the Marimurtra (Walking Tour of Marimurta on my channel!), which covers almost 15 hectares. It includes over 4000 different plant species and is visited by 300,000 people every year. Another garden is the Pinya de Rosa, which consists of over 7000 different plant species.

Although it has an average width of 32 metres, being heavily exposed to storms, the amount of sand varies over the course of the year. It combines golden and courser sands and, like its neighbouring beach, has a children's club among the services available. It can be accessed both from the town centre and from the main tourist resorts that there are in this area. The promenade also provides visitors to the beach with lots of other services. It has been awarded a blue flag.

Tossa de Mar in the province of Girona is not just a beautiful coastal town, it also has lots of beautiful bays and the coastline boasts gorgeous natural surroundings and rock formations. The scenery looks like something from a postcard, an image that will make your holiday on the Costa Brava an experience hard to forget.
Based on my own experience, these are below the 10 most important things to do in Lloret de Mar during your vacation:

Many good beaches. The bigger ones are Lloret main beach and just south of that, Fenals beach. But many other beaches offer you a great day out as well: Canyelles beach, Sta Christina beach, Sta Boadella beach (with the half of space officially assigned to nudists) and many more small ones. Most of them can be reached by car only, since they're not on walking distance of downtown Lloret.
The Verdaguer Cultural Centre has excavated relics from the Puig de Castellet Iberian settlement dating back to 250 BC (open Sat-Sun, 11am - 6pm only). Also naval models, paintings and photographs. Museum of the Sea. 4 euros but has very little in it other than a collection of model boats.
At the far end of the Lloret beach is a castle structure. It's a nice walk, but thousands walk quite some distance to it every day only to find it is private property and does not allow visitors.
There are extensive cycle lanes in parts of Lloret on the pavement. Not many use them and tourists wander through them. These can be very dangerous as a collision between a speeding cyclist and a walker is an accident waiting to happen and will result in an injury or worse.
In 2010 a new big Casino was built, as a part of one of Lloret's 5 star hotels: Guitart Monterrey. It's one of the biggest casinos of the Costa Brava. There are a number of slot arcades ready to relieve you of any excess money.

Introduction:
On a beautiful summer morning, I embarked on a day trip to the charming coastal town of Blanes, located in the Catalonia region of Spain. Known for its picturesque beaches, lush gardens, and vibrant culture, Blanes promised a day filled with relaxation and exploration.
Morning: Marimurtra Botanical Gardens
Started the day at Marimurtra Botanical Gardens. Stunning sea views from the cliffs, diverse plant collection, and serene pathways made for a tranquil morning.
Lunch: Local Cuisine
Lunch at a seaside restaurant with a seafood paella and sangria. Authentic Catalan flavors in a relaxed setting.
Afternoon: Beach Time
Relaxed at Platja de Blanes, the main beach. Soaked up the sun, swam in clear waters, and enjoyed the vibrant beach atmosphere.
Evening: Sa Palomera and Promenade
As the sun began to set, I took a leisurely walk along the Passeig de Dintre, the seafront promenade. The iconic Sa Palomera rock formation, extending into the sea, offered a perfect backdrop for photographs. The changing hues of the sky created a picturesque scene that seemed straight out of a postcard.
Conclusion: A Day Well-Spent
My day trip to Blanes was a delightful experience, filled with natural beauty, culinary delights, and a true sense of relaxation. The town's unique blend of gardens, beaches, and coastal charm made it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I can't believe t’s been 3 months since I ended my studies in Spain, and I have finally finished editing this vlog from Costa Brava.
Costa Brava is a coastal region of Spain located in the North-Eastern part of the country. During our 3-day trip, we have visited 3 beautiful towns: Cadaques, Girona and Blanes.

While studying abroad I realized that it’s very important to travel to the nearest cities or countries and explore new places. This helps you to learn more about different cultures and traditions.
I personally went for an exchange semester in Spain in Fall 2021 and it was the best time of my life. Literally, in 4 days upon arriving to Spain, I had a study break. Therefore, I immediately decided to go to Costa Brava. Made the most out of the given opportunity together with my friends and really enjoyed the scenery and views!
