Want to explore the wonder and beauty of Pakistan's only Marine Protected Zone on Astola Island in Balochistan? Well, this is your guide to the entire island, with tips on how to best enjoy the experience. We'll head out from Gwadar the day before and sleep in Pasni, just a few minutes from the beach. You won't want to leave as early as I did unless you want to be on the island for the sunrise, which I do actually highly recommend. It was one of the most memorable sunrises I've seen in many years. Bring your snorkel or dive gear and lots of food and drinks ... and spend the day at one with nature.

NOTE: the season to visit Astola is from September'ish to April. I shot this one week after the season closed and that meant that the sea was so rough that I couldn't capture the coral reefs and marine life as I wished. But when you visit, the visibility should be wonderful so be sure to gear up for finding Nemo ;-)

Top 12 Things To do in Kashmir
What's a place you visited as a kid that you went back to or still want to go back to as an adult? For me it was Kashmir!! I remember it so clearly as a child. The snow capped mountains, the shikara ride! I always wondered if Kashmir was over rated. But let me tell you Kashmir is Under Rated!!! And for those asking me if it's safe? Yes I feel very safe here. also - more than the natural beauty -The people are the sweetest and the most hospitable I've met anywhere.
1. Gandola ride to reach pahse 1 & 2. watching this beautiful view from a top view was wonderful.
2. Apharwat peah: So many Fauji points.
3. Kabootar valley: Wow, double decker skiing was fun and snow sledging. Although I was scare at the strated but I highly recommend you for it! It was so much fun!
4. Watching purple flowers bloom all around during summers. If you visit Kashmir around summers, you will witness these beautiful flowers all around!
5. Kashmiri Men: Which state in India has the Most Handsome Men? And Most Beautiful Women? For me, I think Kashmir wins for the handsome men :) This is the only state in India where I think the men are more gorgeous than the women.
6. Shikara Ride: It's so dreamy to watch the sun go down sitting in the shikara and sipping hot kawa.
7. Dal Lake: you will see a number on things people do on the dal lake from enjoying kababs to smoking hookas!
8. Floating market: Name things you have it all here
9. Houseboat: It's a luxurious experience staying in these hoouseboats. Owners have to inherit it and cannot buy.
10. Pari Mahal: Pari Mahal or Peer Mahal, also known as The Palace of Fairies, is a seven-terraced garden located at the top of Zabarwan mountain range. It is an example of Islamic architecture and patronage of art during the reign of the then Mughal Emperor khan Shah Jahan.
11. Shah-E- Hamdan: Shah-E-Hamadan Masjid???? It is one of the best examples of Kashmiri wooden architecture, and is decorated with papier mache.
12. Sonmarg: Sonmarg has ancient importance because it was a gateway on the ancient Silk Road that connects Kashmir with China. Sonamarg is a valley covered in white gold thereby living up to its name.

We were very excited to be visiting a Hindu temple for the first time which is located on an island!
In the middle of the Indus River, between Rohri and Sukkur, lies a small island called Sadhu Bela. The centuries-old temple is very unique heritage site in Sindh, Pakistan.The door of complex opens to Dharam Mandir but it is spread over nine acres and sacred to both Hindus and Sikhs.There still exists a tree in the temple premises.It is famous that Baba Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, taught Sadhus about the path of life. Bella means forest in Sindhi language, so whenever Hindus, British and Muslims, all used the word Bella. The reason was the presence of forest here. In 1823 AD, a Nepali Sadhu named Bankhandi, reached this island via Rajasthan and selected this place for his worship and knowledge. Due to the influence of the Hindus, no one was allowed to evict Bankhandi Sadhu from the island. When the British captured the fort of Bakhar, the four stone idols of Bankhandi Maharaj were left as they were. This was the time when island became a place of pilgrimage and worship for Hindus.
