BEST STREET FOOD IN JERUSALEM // ISRAEL-PALESTINE TRAVEL VLOG

Street food in Jerusalem in delicious! We started the day off with empty stomachs and slowly filled them up as we tried as many street foods as we could in Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda Market before the market closed for Shabbat. We both agree that the most delicious food we tried was Sufganiyot (Israeli doughnut), while the most entertaining food was Malawach. We loved walking around the market and trying all the foods that caught our eye!

We have included the price of each food item in the video to give you an idea of the cost of food in Israel. Spoiler alert - it is not cheap! Israel is a very expensive place to travel to which is something you will want to keep in mind if you are planning to visit. We are believers in learning about a place through the cuisine, so we were happy to spend a little more than we normally would to get a better feel for the huge variety of food that can be found in Jerusalem. If you are the same, watch this video in full to see where to eat in Jerusalem, what to eat in Jerusalem, and what people in Israel eat! We feel confident we found some of the best street food in Jerusalem and hope you enjoy coming along with us as we give it a try!

Hebron: The Reality of Israeli Settlement in Palestine // Behind The Wall

It’s widely known that there are Jewish settlements in Palestinian territory, but very few people know what the lives of people are actually like in these isolated districts.
I traveled to Hebron, a Palestinian city that has Israeli settlements right in the middle of the city itself, and managed to enter a Jewish neighborhood surrounded by barbed wire fences and checkpoints.
In this video, I’m going to share what I saw and experienced in this controversial section of Hebron.
This video is the second video of my Hebron trip, so if you haven’t seen the previous one, please check it out as well↓

Hebron: A City Divided Between Palestinians and Israelis // Behind The Wall

The Israeli–Palestinian conflict is one of the world's most enduring disputes, which involves disagreements about numerous Israeli settlements in the West Bank of Palestine.
Among them all, the city of Hebron has one peculiarity:
Hebron is the only city in Palestine where Jewish settlements are located right in the middle of the city itself.
During my Palestine trip, I saw the critical situation of the city with my own eyes, where a bunch of walls, barbed wire fences and checkpoints are disconnecting peoples’ lives in the city center.
In this video, I’m going to share what I experienced in the divided city of Hebron.

I'm back in Ethiopia for the 3rd time because it's one of my favorite countries in Africa! I am now exploring a city in the North called Gondar, and little did I know that I'd come across thousands of fellow Jews.

As you might know by now, I enjoy connecting with Jewish communities around the world, like I've done in Afghanistan, Yemen, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Philippines among many others -- but this experience has been the most eye-opening because of how alive the Jewish culture is. Some 4,000 Ethiopian Jews are here, studying torah, keeping Shabbat and learning Hebrew.

If this is not a fascinating story, then I am not sure what is! Join me as I take you inside the world of the forgotten Jewish tribe of Ethiopia.

Best Things To Do in Israel | Dead Sea, Jerusalem & More

Welcome to Israel! in this video I will be showing you some of the many incredible things to do in this beautiful country. We've got an iconic fortress, a desert oasis, the saltiest and most unique sea in the world, the most famous holy city and more! all in this video!

We begin this video on an epic road trip going from the City of Tel Aviv, across Israel until we arrive at the dead sea, from here we drive south and get to our first destination of Masada Fortress, this fortress is known as one of the top things to do in Israel and has some of the best views over the desert we have ever seen!

From here we head north to the largest desert oasis in Israel, and that is Ein Gedi, this is home to some picture perfect waterfalls and walking routes.

After this we headed towards the most well known private beach and swimming spot in Israel for a dip in the Dead Sea, this was a bucket list item for me and it certainly did not disappoint. Enjoy floating the day away in the worlds saltiest sea. Little known fact, the Dead Sea is actually 400 metres below sea level, making the shores of the Dead Sea the lowest land point on earth.

From here we headed back to our accommodation in Tel Aviv, and explored some of the best things to do here, including one of the world's oldest cities, Old Jaffa. We also explored new Tel Aviv as well, home to an incredible Art Museum and more.

To finish off the video, we headed to the capital of Israel and one of the most famous cities in the world, Jerusalem. This is a major point for not one but three different religions and an incredible place to explore.

Beit Ha'ir (Town Hall) – Tel Aviv
At the renewed Bialik Center, next to the Bialik House, stands one of Tel Aviv’s most beautiful and impressive houses – the Town Hall, which serves as a museum for Tel Aviv urban culture. It is a house for the city and its people and a stage for artists, creators and intellectuals. The grand building was built in 1925 as an apartment hotel but immediately upon its opening was converted into the City Hall, which it remained until 1965. The meetings of the city council, chaired by the mythological mayor Meir Dizengoff, who hosted many dignitaries at his chambers, from Ahad Ha’am and Bialik to central figures of the British Mandate, high commissioners and British cabinet ministers.
What’s at the site: altering exhibitions on the gallery floor, a visit to Meir Dizengoff’s reconstructed chambers, a virtual tour of the “Tel Aviv Time Machine” (a computerized database about the city’s history: rare archive materials, video footage and photos), an impression of the illustrated tile floor and the historic staircase, a visit to the study at the house’s upper floor, which contains a rich variety of nonfiction, prose and poetry books and a view of the city’s roofs from the balcony.

For the general public: guided tours of the museum for all ages, starting from kindergarten, including an introduction to the fascinating history of the first Hebrew city, explanations on the reconstruction and restoration works

at the site and an exposure to the exhibitions currently on display at the Town Hall. The site if fully accessible for disabled visitors.

For children: guidance for families at weekends with suited activities for children and youth.

Tel Beersheba Overview Tour: Biblical Place Where Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob Lived, Negev, Israel

See the amazing events from the Bible that happened in Beersheba and the Negev area.

DONATE:
TOUR TRIPS TO ISRAEL BY TODD FINK:
BOOKS ABOUT ISRAEL BY TODD FINK:

Location 1. Beersheba is located in the Negev, which is a semi-desert. 2. The tel of Beersheba lies a little east of the modern city, which is the region's largest city and administrative capital. 3. It’s about 45 miles (70 km.) south of Jerusalem and about 30 miles (45 km.) from the Mediterranean Ocean. 4. It’s located between the Beersheba and Hebron Streams (which are dry much of the time). 5. It was located on a significant travel route linking Africa and Egypt with Asia and Europe. The Nabateans, who were centralized in Petra, passed through here on caravans with trade goods. Historical Background 1. Beersheba is the beginning place of God’s master plan for the Nation of Israel. 2. In essence, each person has the same tendencies as the Nation of Israel. Therefore, when God wanted to speak to all mankind, He used Israel as the example (1 Cor. 10:11). 3. The name Negev means “dry land” in Hebrew, but the Bible often uses the term to refer to the southern part of Israel. 4. Because Beersheba is in the Negev, which receives an annual rainfall of 6–8 inches (18 cm.), there was not a lot of population in the area, and most of the people living here were nomadic shepherds. 5. Beersheba was in the territory of the Philistines (Gen. 21:33–34). 6. After a conflict over Abraham’s well, which he had dug in Beersheba, a covenant was made between Abimelech and Abraham to settle the dispute (Gen. 21:25–34). To ratify the covenant, Abraham gave Abimelech seven ewe lambs. Therefore, Beersheba means “well of the oath” or “well of the seven lambs.” 7. When the writers of Scripture wanted to speak of all Israel, they would often use the expression “from Dan (the northern-most city) to Beersheba (the southern-most city).” Places of Interest 1. Four Horned Altar This altar belonged to cult worship or was misused by the Israelites as it doesn’t comply with Scripture. Altars were to be made of “stones on which you have not used an iron tool” (Deut. 27:5). This altar used hand shaped stones. The altar was likely one of those torn down during the religious reforms of King Josiah (2 Kings 23:8). 2. Abraham’s Well – 230 feet deep (70 m.) 3. Outer Gate 4. Inner Gates 5. City Square 6. Governor’s Palace 7. Roman Bath Pools 8. Basement House 9. Four-room House 10. Casement Wall 11. Roman Fortress 12. Observation Tower 13. Storerooms 14. Street with Shops 15. Beersheba Stream 16. Hebron Stream 17. Water Cistern
