Granada is all about music and poetry, authentic architectural art and millennial culture. The province hugs the sky from the steep peaks of the Sierra Nevada, its monumental cities extend over the Altiplano and its white villages are scattered between valleys and slopes, which end in the cliffs and beaches of the Costa Tropical. The province of Granada, a privileged tourist destination, allows its visitors to ski in the Sierra Nevada, venture into the villages deep in the Alpujarras, travel the last frontier of Al-Andalus in the Poniente Granadino or explore the caves testifying to troglodyte life.

History :
The whole province is full of attractions for architectural and cultural tourism. The small town of Santa Fe witnessed the preparations for the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus, and Fuente Vaqueros was the birthplace of Federico García Lorca, one of the most important poets and playwrights of Spanish literature.

The Granada plateau preserves the remains of a hominid dating back to one or two million years ago. The inhabitants of Baza, an Iberian people, bequeathed to posterity a relic of great historical and cultural value: the Lady of Baza (Iberian sculpture).

Countryside :
The province of Granada is characterized by a staircase of plateaus that descend from the peaks to the Mediterranean. These high plateaus and the altitude of the land make the winters very cold. This climate has a heavy influence on vegetation, agriculture, livestock and game.

The province of Granada is divided into three well-differentiated regions: the coast, the plain of Granada and the mountain region. Each of them has particular climatic, orographic, historical and geographical characteristics, which make it unique.

Around the 5th century BC. J.-C., coins minted by the Turdules testify to the origins of the capital of this superb province. In the 8th century, the Berbers conquered these lands which would reach their peak with the Nasrids, who would bring economic, social, artistic and cultural development, and whose influence remains palpable today.

Visit Granada and you will discover one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. With the peaks of the Sierra Nevada as a backdrop, this city stands out above all for its architecture and its emblematic monuments, such as the Alhambra. To help you organize your stay in Granada more easily, we have listed the best things to do in Granada: you will know everything to visit the beautiful Andalusian.

In 2019 Granada had a population of 232,462 people, of whom 124,907 were women and 107,555 men. The neighborhoods it has are very different from each other, partly due to the diversity of coexisting cultures and religions and, already in the 19th century, xx, due to the continued immigration that occurred until the 1990s in the context of de-ruralization; the most important are Zaidín, La Chana, Centro-Sagrario, Realejo, Albaicín, Sacromonte and Cartuja.

Top 15 Best Things to do & see in Gran Canaria !

Our 15 best things to do and see in Gran Canaria. 4K Video with beautiful images !
Visit Gran Canaria and enjoy this beautiful island...

For any other information we are happy to answer your questions.

In this video you will see:
- Roque Nublo which is considered one of the biggest natural crags in the world.
- Watching the sun set behind Teide volcano over in Tenerife is the perfect way to round off a day on Amadores beach
- GuiGui secret beach
- Maspalomas Sand Dunes one of the must visit if you are in Gran Canaria-
- To appreciate the essence of a place and soak up its atmosphere there is nothing better than getting to the highest point. In Gran Canaria this is the Pico de las Nieves lookout point right in the centre of the island.
- Mirador del Balcon viewpoint is in the far west of Gran Canaria and hangs over the sea at the top of a steep cliiff edge with spectacular views out over the Atlantic Ocean. From the viewpoint you get a clear view of a zigzag wall of sea cliffs called the “Dragon’s Tail”. Turning back to look at the island you see the La Arena Valley and the wide, green La Aldea de San Nicolás.
- Las Vacas ravine has become a well-known tourist attraction for visitors of Gran Canaria because of its peculiar rock formations called Tobas de Colores which bear a certain resemblance to the famous Antelope Canyon in the United States.
- Las Canteras beach in northeast Gran Canaria, right in the capital city Las Palmas, is amongst Europe’s most famous city beaches. Its natural offshore lava reef acts as a wavebreak and protects the sand and the exuberant marine life that make Las Canteras a top snorkeling spot.Las Canteras is an ideal beach for long barefoot walks as it’s golden sand stretches for over two kilometres. during the day you can sunbathe by the sand sculptures, rent parasols and loungers or surf at the southern end.
- Barranco del Medio with Los Azulejos de Veneguera is one of those surprises that make me pull the car over, pull the hand brake and run out with the camera and the drone :)
- Puerto de las Nieves in Agaete, Gran Canaria, is one of the most charming coastal towns on the Canarian island that is worth visiting for a few days of rest and relaxation.
Its spectacular landscapes (The El Dedo de Dios Monument), warm climate, leisure sites, and natural pools make the Puerto de las Nieves in Gran Canaria an appetizing stop to enjoy the best sailor’s style of the archipelago.
- Tufia hamlet is famous for it's existential battle against the Spanish government. Its beach, tiny as it is, is the headquarters of resistance.
Little more than a cluster of whitewashed houses by the sea, Tufia is far more shabby than chic and only has a chiringuito bar during the summer. However, it's become a battleground between the Spanish government and residents.
Built without permission in the 1960s in an area that is now a nature reserve, almost all of Tufia's 90 houses are scheduled for demolition. The locals are fighting to protect their seaside homes and have even arranged international art festivals to publicise their fight. It'll take a brave politician to send in the bulldozers as Tufia is a cause celebré amongst Gran Canaria's alternative crowd.
- This neighbourhood in the Gáldar municipality promises fun right down the street, since that’s where you’ll find both the thoroughfare and the sea. Native painter and expressionist Antonio Padrón used to spend summers with his family on the beach of Sardina del Norte.
This paradise in the north of Gran Canaria has Sardina Beach, several piers, Roqueta beach, and Barranquillo del Vino, where expert swimmers bathe. The Sardina Lighthouse area is ideal for diving, spearfishing, and hiking. Skirting the coast from there, you’ll reach the town of Gáldar.

Granada Spain: Amazing City in Andalucia - 4K-HDR Walking Tour With Captions!

In this video I am walking through the streets of Granada city in Spain, Andalucia, on a October evening. You will see the main shopping, bar and dining streets, the famous cathedral and the beautiful Calle Caldereria Nueva. This walk ends at the spectacular viewpoint San Nicolás (Albaicin district) where you can see the Alhambra palace. Granada is undoubtedly one of the main references of Flamenco in Spain and in particular the Sacromonte one of its cradles. This gypsy neighborhood is the epicenter of what the experts call Jondura and Elf and emerges the Zambra, a flamenco dance and song party that dates back to the century XVI And in particular to the wedding rituals of the Moors of the city. Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, at the confluence of four rivers, the Darro, the Genil, the Monachil and the Beiro. The city sits at an average elevation of 738 m above sea level, yet is only one hour by car from the Mediterranean coast, the Costa Tropical. The Alhambra, an ancient Nasrid citadel and palace, is located in Granada. It is the most renowned building of the Islamic historical legacy with its many cultural attractions and architectural elements that make Granada a popular destination among the tourist cities of Spain. Turn on the closed captions (CC) to see subtitles with background information about the city & the area.

This 4K HDR video tour was recorded with high definition binaural audio in 60 FPS.

The Granada Geopark

The Granada Geopark is a huge area in the north of Granada province in Andalucia. It is a place to explore. Within the Geopark you will find traces of humans dating back 1.4 million years, an astounding concentration of megalithic dolmens built by Neolithic people, the largest concentration of dolmens in the world, fortified settlements from the Argaric period and the oppidums of the later Iberians. All this is set in the badlands, an arid plain, the Baza depression, all that remains of a large, prehistoric lake, deeply riven with gullies and valleys.
You will not fail to be awed.

25 Things to do in Barcelona, Spain | Top Attractions Travel Guide Video Transcript:

This week we are exploring another Spanish city. We are in Barcelona and this video is going to highlight 25 things to do here.

It is kind of hard to believe our time in Barcelona has expired. So final thoughts.

Well, it was a really fun city to visit. Great architecture, really nice beaches. It is very lively especially at night. The only downfall is that we were here in the middle of summer so it was super hot and super crowded and sometimes that made it a little bit difficult to enjoy. Especially at midday or in the mid-afternoon. So keep that in mind. Maybe consider visiting in the springtime, fall, winter.

Well, so what did you think of the city?

It is definitely a fun city. We had a lot of fun going to the beaches. One thing that is really different about this city compared to some other European cities though is that it is really spread out. In order for us to visit all of these different attractions we had to chunk them together into groups to visit them day by day. Overall, it was a decent city. It didn't quite click with me the same way that Madrid did. But that is just personal preference I suppose.

And that is a wrap for Barcelona! Our 5 days in the city flew by, and while this guide didn't cover everything, we hope we were able to give you a feel of what this fun seaside city has to offer. As always, if you have any suggestions of things to do around town, feel free to add them in the comments below. And if you want to catch our latest travel videos, don't forget to hit subscribe!

10 Best Things To Do In Slovenia - Watch This Video Before You Visit Slovenia !

Discover 10 of the best things to do in Slovenia in this video! These attractions will make your trip to this beautiful country a memorable one!

If you're looking for a new destination to explore, Slovenia is perfect! This video will show you some of the most beautiful and interesting places to visit in Slovenia, from hiking places to stunning waterfalls. With this information, you'll be ready to enjoy your trip to this beautiful country!

In this video you are going to find out where to visit and what to do in Slovenia. In this video, we advice you the best hiking places, best places to visit and best activities that you can do with your family during your visit in Slovenia.

10 Best Things To Do In Slovenia
Lake Bled

Lake Bled is one of the biggest Slovenia attractions, making it a must-see during your visit. Every year thousands of people are attracted to the giant azure lake and the quaint island which sits in the center.

Hidden away in the Alps, Lake Bled looks like it was ripped straight from the pages of a fairytale book. Surrounded by rocky mountains, medieval castles, and lush forests, this spot is so beautiful that you’ll never want to leave!

Ljubljana

One of the best things to do in Slovenia is to explore the Old Town in Ljubljana. Whether you’ve never visited the place before or you can’t keep away, you’ll always stumble upon something new and interesting in Ljubljana Old Town.

The historic beating heart of Slovenia, Ljubljana Old Town is where you’ll find meandering canals which work their way under rustic stone bridges, picturesque homes next to Gothic cathedrals, and charming plazas lined with open-air cafes.

Lake Bohinj

Lake Bohinj is one of the best places in Slovenia to try out different water sports and find out which is the one for you. Hidden away at the foot of the Bohinj Valley in the Julian Alps, this enormous lake is crystal-clear and perfectly still, making it the ideal place to enjoy a number of different sports.

Around the lake, you’ll find several kiosks where you can rent everything from kayaks and canoes to paddleboards and boats. If you’d rather take things a little easier, you can always just get in the lake and enjoy a cool swim.

Soča River

Zooming over rapids down the Soca River on a raft is one of the most exhilarating things you can do during your vacation in Slovenia. Whether you want to push yourself to the limit and try the most challenging route or get started with something a little simpler, you’ll find the perfect white water rafting tour for you.

The Soča River is an incredibly beautiful place to practice this sport. The deep turquoise color of the water, the steep canyon walls that rise up either side, and the thick, towering trees make this one of the most gorgeous places in all of Slovenia.

Kranjska Gora
Kranjska Gora is an attractive mountain and tourist sports centre throughout the year. In the winter it sees Alpine skiers compete and top ski jumpers break new records at the near-by Planica. Postojna Cave

Postojna Cave is the best-known cave in the world. It is also the greatest tourist attraction in Slovenia and one of the world's largest karst monuments. A fantastic web of tunnels, passages, galleries and halls, the astonishing diversity of Karst features as well as easy access are certainly the main reasons for such popularity of the cave and a large number of visitors. Check the timetable of visits by months.

Vintgar Gorge
Vintgar Gorge, carved by Radovna River, is located near Gorje, approximately 4 kilometres north-west from Bled. The 1.6-kilometre long gorge is carved amidst the glorious vertical walls of Hom and Boršt hills, and it is highlighted by the Radovna River and its waterfalls, pools and rapids.

BAZA -Granada - Spain. A few days away

Personal video, as are most of ours; A few days away inland in Granada Province, Spain at a town called Baza.
We have been to the area before, but not looked at the town itself, so new to us. There are some great old Arab baths that are well worth a visit, and free too.
Also took a drive up into the mountains to a place called Ojo de la Heredad overlooking embalse Negratin, a large reservoir that was quite low compared to 3 or 4 years ago when we were last in the area. The views up there are really good, and there is an unusual rock with a large hole for added interest.
After our stay we headed back towards Almeria in a different, longer route going up and over the Sierra Nevada mountains, but that is another video.

Sierra de Baza National Park | Scenic Drive - Granada, Spain

Sierra de Baza National Park is located in Granada Province. Check out the Barea viewpoint (Mirador de Barea). Beautiful scenery, quiet area, well worth checking it out when in the area.

Granada Province: Hidden Secrets

Mention Granada and people automatically think of the Palace of the Alhambra, the most visited tourist attraction in Andalucia and a glorious reminder of the splendours of the al-Andalus period. However, Granada province has much more to offer.
The Sierra Nevada mountain range, just outside and within view of the city, includes Mulhacen, the highest mountain on the Iberian Peninsula and beneath its summit, the winter sports centre at Pradollano. A two-hour drive south and you can bask on the beaches of the Costa Tropical, a favourite destination for Spanish families.
Almuñécar has been a favoured spot since before the Phoenicians arrived on the coast and is now a popular resort for Spanish families.
Inland, the Granada Geopark, mostly set in ‘badlands’, is a complete history of human endeavour in the area dating back 1.4 million years. Visit the Megalithic Park at Gorafe, an Iberian oppidum at Baza, a fossil bed recording extinct animals through the entire Quaternary period, and an Argar bronze age settlement. Geologists, historians and those just interested in the remote past could easily spend two weeks in the Geopark and see something different every day.

This video looks at the hidden secrets of Granada province.
