Van life in Spain, a day out. Free park up in Ayora.
Well we're on the road yet again, 2nd day in a row.
Spanish roads are really good, but our recent day trip to Ayora to find a free park up was a little hair raising as the road got narrower and narrower. Very lucky we only met a tractor in the opposite direction.
Van life in Spain can sometimes be daunting.
City Tour: Valencia, Spain - The Maritime Façade (Bicimetro Route 3)
This POV bicycle ride covers route 3 from Valencia's Bicimetro list. The directions on this list are really difficult to follow, so I have made a video so you can actually see the route. The route takes us from the Ayora metro station to the Alboraya Palmaret metro station.
Use the follow up to this video if you want to head straight back into the Valencia city center. You can also take a side journey to Port Saplaya.
This video is intended to show the route and assist with identifying landmarks along the way. Sprinkled in is a little history of the region. Enjoy!

Charles is on an epic journey to the Galápagos on a budget, visiting San Cristobal, Santa Cruz, and Isla Isabela to see some of the most popular attractions: snorkeling in Kicker Rock, Cerro Brujo Beach, Carolina Beach and the Interpretation Center in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Galapagos Land Adventure in Puerto Ayora | ECUADOR
I took a Galapagos cruise and then decided to explore Puerto Ayora by land and stayed in a hotel.
This is the second time I've visited in Galapagos. In 2013 I went on an 8 day Galapagos cruise on a sail boat and then rented my guide's house for 5 weeks in Puerto Ayora.
This time I returned for a Galapagos tour with Metropolitan Touring on the La Pinta cruise ship.

If you're a nature lover, wildlife enthusiast, or thrill-seeker, this is the trip you've been waiting for! Our journey begins on San Cristóbal Island, the easternmost island in the Galapagos. This volcanic haven hosts sea lions, blue-footed, and several unique species. It's the perfect combination of relaxation, wildlife spotting, and soaking in the sun—an ideal introduction to the Galapagos. Next, we Visit the Interpretation Center to learn about the unique biodiversity, geology, history, and conservation of the Galapagos Islands. Following this educational experience, we Explore Frigatebird Hill, where we're greeted by breathtaking views of the island and an opportunity to observe Frigatebirds in their natural habitat. Subsequently, we dive into an underwater adventure with Snorkeling at Kicker Rock, a sheer-walled tuff cone that houses a rich abundance of marine life. First Impression of Galapagos... One of the TOP Places On Our Bucket List!
See how to travel from Guayaquil, Ecuador to #PuertoAyora on Isla Santa Cruz, #Galapagos Islands. Take note that most people spend a small fortune to visit Galapagos by taking cruises which cost well into five figures. In this series of #TravelVlogs, we’re going to show you how to do more and spend less. So BE sure to watch our entire vlog series so that you can plan out your travel activities.
Because of how far the islands are from the mainland AND the entire Galapagos cluster of islands is an archipelago of volcanic islands, food & supplies are shipped in, which contributes to higher prices. But you don’t have to spend as much as you think, which allows more travelers to check this destination off their bucket list and experience the Galapagos sooner than people imagine.
Galapagos Islands along with all of Ecuador uses USD as their currency.
Before leaving Guayaquil, we paid for a $20 transit pass at the airport that must be purchased per traveler. Upon arriving to the Seymour Airport on Isla Baltra, we had to pay the $100 Galapagos Island Fee which goes towards maintenance of the islands, conservation, protection of the animals, infrastructure and the employees doing all the work (we found this out from one of the island’s National Park Rangers.)
After going through the airport, there’s a $5 bus fee to go to the Baltra Ferry which is $1 fee to cross the Itabaca Channel. Once you cross the channel, there’s two options to head 40ish km to Puerto Ayora:
Option 1: Take the $25 Taxi which is the island’s “transport” service and is 4-door pick-up truck
Option 2: Take the bus for $5
We ended up splitting the $25 taxi fee with a couple from the Netherlands, as it’s a directional fee, not a per-person fee! SCORE!

Hello Hoppers! Today we land in Manises Valencia Airport (VLC) and want to go to the city center by metro. I show you how I get my ticket and explain how I find my train to go into the city. Once in the city of Valencia, the third-largest in Spain, I will be taking another train to the Valencia Coast, a popular vacation spot, but that will be in a separate video. Due to the great flood of 1957 in Valencia, the riverbed was modified so that it did not pass through the city.
In 1986 this garden was founded.
The Turia Garden is a 110-hectare public urban park; located in the old bed of the river Turia in the city of Valencia.
This park is one of the most visited in Valencia and Spain.
It is the largest purely urban garden in Spain, with a length very close to 10 kilometers.
Debido a la gran riada de 1957 en Valencia, el cauce del rio se modificó para que no pasara por dentro de la ciudad.
En 1986 se fundó este jardín.
El Jardín del Turia es un parque urbano público de 110 hectáreas; situado en el antiguo lecho del río Turia en la ciudad de Valencia.
Este parque es uno de los más visitados de Valencia y de España.
Es el mayor jardín netamente urbano de España, con una longitud muy próxima a los 10 kilómetros.
