Bayburt, Doğu Karadeniz'de bulunan ve Çoruh Nehri'ne yaslanan Türkiye'nin bir şehridir.
Yerleşim tarih boyunca çeşitli yönetimlerin egemenliğinde olmasından ya da birçok halkın yaşamasından kaynaklı olarak çeşitli adlandırmalar almıştır. Bizanslılar dönemindeki kaynaklarda Payper, Paypert ve Babert olarak yerleşimden bahsedilmiştir. Arap kaynaklarında Bâbirt (بابرت) adıyla görülen Ortaçağ dönemi Ermeni kayıtlarında Payberd(Բաբերդ), 1291 yılında II. Mesud adına basılan sikkede Baypırt, Akkoyunlularla ilgili yakın zamanlı yayınlarda Pâpîrt (پاپيرت), yerleşimi gören İtalyan seyyah Marco Polo’nun kitabında Paipurth ve Osmanlılarda Bayburd (بايبورد) şeklinde yerleşim adlandırılmıştır. Berd, Ermenice kale anlamına gelmekle birlikte yerleşimin tam etimolojik anlamı bilinmemektedir. Evliya Çelebi eseri olan seyahatnamesinde tarihi kronolojiyle çok uymayacak şekilde, Akkoyunlu beylerinin Danişmetlilerle birlikte tarihi Horasan bölgesindeki Mahan diyarından Anadolu’da Bayburt dolaylarına geldiklerinde hazine ve maden bularak zenginleştikleri ve eski Türkçe’de zengin anlamına gelen “bay” oldukları, bunun sonucunda da yerleşime Bay-yurd adını verdiklerini belirtmiştir.
1927’ye kadar Erzurum’a bağlı olan Bayburt, bu tarihte Gümüşhane’ye bağlı bir ilçe oldu. 21.06.1989 tarihinde Bayburt ilinin kurulmasıyla da ilin merkez ilçesi oldu.
Bayburt yüzölçümü ve nüfusu itibarıyla Türkiye'nin en küçük illerinden biridir. Yüzölçümü bakımından 81 il içerisinde 74. sıradadır.

Questo non è solo un viaggio in motocicletta ma è anche un viaggio nella storia, nella nostra storia. Ed è anche il racconto sincero di come si può andare in un anno dal non saper neanche accendere una moto (luglio 2020) al percorrere 11.000 km (settembre 2021), spinta dalla determinazione e dal sogno, i propellenti del mio viaggio.

BEAUTY: ho scelto laSaponaria, laboratorio artigianale di cosmetici consapevoli (CODICE SCONTO 10% lasaponariaonthego)
Per i climi freddi mi sono portata una maglia termica, uno scaldacollo, un sotto giacca imbottito e una felpa calda ma arrivata a Doğubeyazıt, posto di frontiera turco con l’Iran, ideale per questo tipo di acquisti a prezzi bassissimi, ho dovuto integrare, comprando un pile, un pantalone e calzini termici e un passamontagna.
Per ascoltare musica, parlare al telefono, catturare foto e video in 4K lungo la strada, o registrare note audio, ho montato nel casco un Sena 10C EVO.
Avevo anche una GoPro 9 e un’Insta 360.
Sulla moto ho installato due bauletti laterali in alluminio originali Yamaha, il paramotore e il para serbatoio.
Gomme Scorpion Rally STR Pirelli, ho sostituito la posteriore al termine del viaggio.
Quadlock al manubrio con ricarica wireless e il modulo anti-vibrazioni.
Ho inserito un tappo antipolvere nell’attacco jack del cellulare (un'iPhone 12).
Per la navigazione, ho optato per l’app maps.me, preferibile a google maps soprattutto in Turchia e in Georgia, e utile anche per trovare tracciati fuoristrada con l’opzione bicicletta. Basta scaricare la mappa desiderata quando c’è connessione e poi si può usare offline.
Avendola in casa, ho scelto di portarmi la gomma posteriore di ricambio, al suo interno ci infilavo un borsone della Motea con le bretelle a scomparsa, coperto e legato al telaio da un ragno.
La gomma era legata sulla sella del passeggero e in parte sbordava sopra il bauletto di destra che conteneva ciò che avrei usato solo in caso di bisogno: pezzi di ricambio della moto (non ne ho mai avuto bisogno), comprese due camere d’aria e vestiti caldi/da pioggia che poi ho sostituito con quelli estivi nella seconda metà del viaggio.
Il mio abbigliamento, compresa la borraccia e i supporti video-fotografici erano alloggiati nello zaino e nel bauletto di sinistra che sganciavo ogni sera all’arrivo in hotel.

Occorrono la patente internazionale, i documenti propri e del mezzo e per il periodo in cui ho viaggiato io anche il certificato vaccinale/tampone (solo in Georgia era richiesto il doppio requisito del certificato vaccinale e del PCR test negativo).
In Macedonia, Turchia e Georgia (paesi non coperti dalla mia carta verde) ho stipulato l’assicurazione direttamente in frontiera, rispettivamente per 50, 15 e 50 Euro.
