Best Time to Visit the Bahamas for Vacation
The best times to travel to the Bahamas is late spring. Temperatures are warmer and the risk of rain is lower.

The most popular travel destination in the Caribbean is the Bahamas, even though they face either heavy rains or cooler temperatures during more than half the year.
Nassau Bahamas is popular in part because of people who go there for a stopover vacation at resorts such as Atlantis. Nassau and Freeport also are major cruise destinations as well.
Bahamas travel weather is a bit cooler than most Caribbean destinations. It is the most northern location in the region.
BAHAMAS TEMPERATURES
Monthly high temperatures average around 84 degrees Fahrenheit, the World Meteorological Organization reports. Monthly low temperatures average about 69.5 degrees.
Average high temperatures reach 89 degrees from July through September and drop to less than 80 degrees from December through March.
BAHAMAS RAINFALL
Rainfall averages 4.6 inches per month, which is higher than the average for the Caribbean. The average climbs to 7.4 inches from June through October, but it spikes in August with 9.3 inches and 19 rain days.
In contrast, The Bahamas average only 2 inches of rain from December through April.
Rain days -- the number of days per month that have rain -- average about 12 per month. That level also is among the highest in the Caribbean.
Rainfall makes June through October less than ideal months to visit The Bahamas.
Likewise, cooler temperatures make December through March less appealing as well, especially for anyone who wants to swim in the ocean or spend time on the beach.

Erin's family comes for a short visit, then some friends join us for 10 days to explore Cat Island and see what living aboard a catamaran is really like.
We get some up-close encounters with sharks, attend a local church, then hike up the tallest hill in the Bahamas to poke around at an old monastery.

Our pizza crust recipe:
2 1⁄4 teaspoons yeast
1⁄4 teaspoon sugar
3⁄4 cup hot water
1 3⁄4 cups flour
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
Mix the yeast and sugar in the warm water and let rest for 8 minutes. Stir into flour and salt until dough is formed. Knead the dough for 5 minutes, then divide into 2 or 3 parts. Roll each part out paper thin, each dough ball should make a 12 inch pizza crust.
Top crust with pizza sauce and whatever toppings you want, then place in 475 degree oven for 15-20 minutes.

This video documents our first trip to Harbour Island in the Bahamas. We take you on a tour of the island, including walks along the beautiful Pink Sands Beach, fun drives through Dunmore Town on our golf cart, and reviews of many of the amazing restaurants on the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay on Briland and found its motto to be true, it really is the Home of Friendly People! We can't wait to go back!

Follow us to the Home of the Friendly People Harbour Island, where you are likely to be sitting next to a A-List celebrity in flip flops enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, pink sand beaches and pastel colonial cottages. We loved the vibe on this tiny island and Valentine's Resort & Marina literally turned out to be the heart of Harbour Island where we found comfortable accomodation with a lovely garden and pool right at the island's most popular yacht marina. Most people rent golf carts for self-driving and it was great fun to do so!
Connected by water taxi neighbouring Eleuthera is home to secluded beaches and coves, the most welcoming locals and natural wonders like Glass Window Bridge where the rich blue Atlantic Ocean on one side of the road is only separated by a strip of of rock from the turquoise calm Caribbean water in the Bight of Eleuthera.

What to Eat at Atlantis Bahamas
Be sure to check out the full vlog (links below), but these are some of the dining options available at Atlantis.
There are some relatively inexpensive or affordable food options on (and off) the Atlantis resort. Most of the cheap eats options onsite are located near pools and beaches.
The more upscale or fine dining options are more expensive, but are definitely worth the experience.
You really can't go wrong, there's not a bad choice.
My biggest piece of advice? Bring snacks. Pack them in your checked bag or venture off the resort to a local store, but definitely get snacks and drinks.

Who Is RumShopRyan:
Howdy! I’m Ryan and I hail from the land-locked, can’t get any further from the ocean, state of Kansas. I moved to laid back southwest Florida in 2001. I didn’t know a single person and didn’t have a job. Risky I know, but the ocean was calling and I had to answer.
I’m a huge fan of Kansas City sports, so you’ll probably see a lot of Jayhawks, Chiefs and Royals attire in my photos. Kansas City is a great town and I’m glad I’m from there, but the coastal life was calling. It’s kind of like Kenny Chesney’s “island boy” song. Check out the lyrics and you’ll see what I mean.
I write because I’m passionate about the Caribbean and the island lifestyle, and it’s my way to share it with you. If it has anything to do with the Caribbean, rum drinks, beach style music, or Caribbean culture, you’ll be able to find it on this site.

Who is Castaway Crystal:
I was raised in Southwest Florida so it’s no surprise that I have a love for beaches, water and nature. As a child, most weekends were spent fishing in the warm gulf waters on the family boat. As an adult, most weekends are spent soaking up the sun on Ft. Myers Beach. Even though I have always loved the coastal life, I don’t think I fully appreciated it until I moved to Nashville, TN. I’m all about experiencing new things, and as a Licensed Massage Therapist I thought it would be amazing to massage some of Nashville’s biggest stars (a girl can dream right?). But I missed the sun and sand too much—and let’s not forget the rum runners! After a year I couldn’t take it anymore, this sun bunny moved back to her coast of somewhere beautiful.
