Jardin, Colombia is the BEST Place to Visit! Things To Do, Hikes and Wildlife
In this video we travel to Jardin Colombia! After two months of travel in Colombia this was the best place we visited! There are so many things to do in Jardin, including hiking, wildlife and a thrilling ride on the Garrucha. We see waterfalls, a bat cave and sip at cafes overlooking this amazing town. Jardin will always have a special place in our hearts.

Santa Fe de Antioquia Colombia: Is this the best weekend trip from Medellín?
Santa Fe de Antioquia, one of the best weekend trips from Medellin! Medellin to Santa Fe de Antioquia is an easy trip to make so if you’re staying in nearby Medellin you have to check this place out! ???? Heck, if you only had one day you could even make it a day trip from Medellin out of it and see the suspension bridge there. ????????
This charming small town is surrounded by mountains and is one of the oldest colonial cities in all of Latin America and also home to the oldest suspension bridge in all of Colombia!
It’s a great place to lounge and get away from big city life for a long weekend. We were told many Medellin locals come here for weekend trips and we can see why.
We also couldn’t recommend the Hotel Mariscal Robledo more (And no, we don’t get any kickbacks for mentioning them lol.) It’s truly the most special hotel in the city. We stayed here for Olivia's birthday in February & went during the beginning of the week when it's less crowded.
We spent our days: lounging by the pool, playing ping pong & pool, we got massages, used the steam room, drank the BEST iced coffee (Cafe Canelo), ate great food (patacones & empanadas from the hotel) and drinks (try Limonada de Coco and Guandolo).
They make it really easy to never leave the property! ????
And all for a very AFFORDABLE PRICE (when using american dollars). The rooms were about $65 USD per night, included free breakfast, and all drinks and food by the pool was anywhere between $3-$6 USD.

Hey! We're Olivia and Nathan ???????? A couple from California.
We met back in 2014 in Monterey, California. I (Olivia) was a senior in college & Nathan had recently moved back to the area after living in Italy.
After a few “deep life talks” (ones that were so foreign to me) and hearing about the lifestyle Nathan had been creating for himself for the last 6 years, I wanted to spend more time with him.
We started dating and I learned how he’d moved to Cambodia when he was 17, Germany when he was 18, Italy when he was 20, and was itching to travel again.
I was fascinated and wondered HOW THE HECK DID THIS GUY PAY FOR ALL OF THAT?
Nathan would work in California for 2 years, save every dollar he could, move abroad, find a job in that country, live there for 1-2 years and then do it all over again. Each time, he’d learn the language of that country, acquire new skills & make lifelong friends.
I was deeply inspired & wanted to travel with him. After 1 year of working our butts off and saving every dollar we could, we moved to Australia. We lived + worked there for 3 years (learned to speak perfect Australian lol) & created online jobs so we could continue traveling full-time.
We were traveling South America when covid hit, flew home and bought an RV to travel the US.

Jericó is one of the 17 Heritage Towns of Colombia and is located in the department of Antioquia, 3 hours by car from Medellin.
Jericó Antioquia was founded in 1851 and today it is known as the most beautiful town in Colombia, thanks to its colonial architecture and beautiful landscapes. This historic town is a perfect destination if you are looking for a trip full of culture and typical architecture of the Antioquia colonization in Colombia. But there is lot to do outside Jerico Antioquia, activities such as hiking and bird watching. Also, I went to a viewpoint on the outskirts of town, I was able to see many beautiful waterfalls and even from there I saw the Cauca River. It is a spectacular view, a great family plan, I recommend you visit Jericó Antioquia and its surroundings.

This is likely going to be our favourite place in Colombia, Jardin was just incredible. You NEED to go to Jardin when you visit Antioquia Colombia! In this 3 day vlog we hike, drink coffee, explore the old town, eat the worlds best rotisserie chicken, paraglide and hike to a waterfall! Everything here in Jardin was simply perfect!
