Welcome to my channel.
Andernach Geyser is the highest cold-water geyser in the world, reaching heights of 30 to 60 metres. The geyser was first bored in 1903 on the Namedy Peninsula (Namedyer Werth) in the Rhine near Andernach. In 2006 it was turned into a tourist attraction and one of the sights in the volcano park and part of the Geopark Vulkanland Eifel.

Last 24th April 2021 we have visited Andernach that is near from Koblenz city. We need 10 minutes by train but from our house it’s took 45 minutes because from our house we had to took bus to go Koblenz Hbf/Train Station. Andernach city is very famous for a Mental Hospital in this teritory. Andernach is very nice and clean city with wide roads and have enough bicycle road. We have enjoyed to explore Andernach city.

Andernach geyser and Namedy Castle
Visit to the geyser in Andernach, the highest cold water geyser in the world. A really great experience, although we have already been to a geyser in Iceland. Then we went by foot from the Kanzlei viewpoint to Burg Namedy Castle in the neighboring town of the same name. On the way back we saw an eruption of the geyser from the hiking trail by chance.

Er ist der weltweit höchste seiner Art - Ab zum Geysir nach Andernach am Rhein
Christian ist Chef im Geysir-Zentrum in Andernach am Rhein. „Sein“ Geysir trägt einen Rekord-Titel, denn er ist höchste Kaltwasser-Geysir der Welt. ✔ Mit bis zu 60 Meter schießt die beeindruckende Fontäne in die Höhe. Ein Besuch ist im Sommer täglich möglich. ✔ Leider kommst du nicht alleine bzw. ohne Führung oder Schiff auf die Halbinsel Namedyer Werth im Rhein. Das Naturschutzgebiet verhindert, dass du es quasi kostenlos zu Fuß zum Geysir schaffst. ✔ Mit dem Schiff „MS Namedy“ geht es ohnehin viel einfacher: Es fährt viermal pro Tag (11.15, 13.05, 15 und 17 Uhr) in etwa einer halben Stunde zur 2,5 km entfernten Anlegestelle. ✔ Ab da sind es nur wenige Meter zu Fuß zum Geysir. Der Ausbruch dauert etwa 6 bis 10 Minuten - und dies passiert etwa alle zwei Stunden. Einen konkreten Zeitpunkt für den Ausbruch gibt es nicht. Mein Tipp: Nimm die erste Tour des Tages mit, denn dann hörst du den typischen „Ausbruch-Sound“. ✔ Dieser Geysir hat es in sich:
