Surrounded by orchards & gardens, Tokat lies on a plain beneath steep hills that are crowned by a ruined citadel, often identified as the ancient fortress Dazimon. Tokat stands near the site of ancient Comana of Pontus, one of the most important cities of the Pontus district during the Roman period. Tokat rose to prominence after Comana’s decline in Byzantine times. During the 11th–13th century it was an important city of a Turkmen principality & later of the Seljuq Turks. It was incorporated into the Ottoman Empire about 1392. Noteworthy among its landmarks, mostly dating from the Seljuq period, are the blue-tiled Gök (Blue) Medrese, a 13th-century Islamic religious school that houses the local museum, & the Halef Gazi Tekkesi monastery, dating from about 1290.

Hello YouTubers! I recently self-published a book on Create Space!
As an English as a Second Language Teacher teaching abroad, I have had unique experiences in the classroom (as all teachers do). However, during my travels abroad, I was inspired to begin writing children's books.
My first self-published book is called, All the Beautiful Girls. It's a short-story all about a girl who has a dream that her mom is teaching her how to be a lady. In this story, the young girl learns ten different positive characters from ten different ladies.
This book is great for children aged 5 - 10. It's great for any classroom, home, bookstore, or library! Please take the time to view this beautiful treasure online. It would be a book cherished in the home and great for classroom management!

Türkiye’nin en güzel hanlarından biri olan Taşhan, Anadolu’daki en büyük şehir hanlarındandır. Gaziosmanpaşa Bulvarı üzerindedir. 1626-1632 yılları arasında inşa edilmiş bir Osmanlı eseridir. Dikdörtgen planlı, açık avlulu, iki katlı bir yapıdır. İçeride dış dükkanların bulunduğu kuzey ve doğu yönünde revaksız işyerleri, güney ve batı yönünde ise önünde revak bulunan dükkanlar yer almaktadır. Giriş koridorunun sonunda sağdan ve soldan ikinci kata çıkılmaktadır. İkinci katta bütün odalar revaka açılmaktadır. Girişin üstünde kubbeli bir mekan vardır ve bu mekan konsollar üzerinde dışa taşmaktadır. Odalarda dışa açılan birer pencere, bir ocak ve niş bulunmaktadır. İçte 76 dışta toplam 103 mekan vardır. Anadolu’daki en büyük şehir hanlarındandır.

In the south of the castle, Sulusokak is located where you can find many historical mosques, tombs and caravanserais. Tokat Museum is also situated in Arastalı Bedesten, a former Ottoman bazaar dating from 16th century, in Sulusokak. Most probably, Sulusokak is the oldest commercial and social hub of the city. Transylvanian Prince Vlad III, better known as Vlad Țepeș/Vlad the Impaler, the main inspiration behind Bram Stroker's Count Dracula, in his early life, was imprisoned by Ottomans in Tokat Castle which has been built on a rocky hill near Sulusokak. In the Cumhuriyet square, Ali Pasha Mosque and Bathhouse from 16th century are located. In Meydan district, Hatuniye Meydan Mosque and Taşhan hostelry are located. Clock Tower has been built in Behzat Square next to historical Behzat Mosque in 1901 to celebrate 25th anniversary of Abdulhamid II's reign. Behzat Square was the administrative center of the city in 19th and early 20th centuries, hosting much of government buildings, Clock Tower, Mevlevihane and Yüksek Kahve (High Coffee House).

It might be a good reference for sunny bright and good light, whether you are considering Huawei Mate 20 Pro vs Huawei Mate 40 Pro, or perhaps vs iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 12 Pro Max, etc. HDR enables you to see a higher dynamic range, between lights (highlights) and darks (shadows).

The Fall: TURKEY | Cycling the World 17
Bicycle Vlog 17: ‘When Autumn Leaves’ - Somewhere in a farm field an early sun filled morning wakes us up and we make a fresh brew to enjoy. Cycling off the beaten path along the Almus dam lake we get great views on the beautiful surroundings. We head up the river system feeding this lake and stop to see some women making bulgur. In a small village we fill up our water bottles and get asked by many to come over and stay. Because the scenery is stunning we politely reject and find an amazing spot to camp. When asleep we suddenly get woken by a tractor and excited men start to make noise. They want to throw a party next to our tent, complete with a fire, bread and raki! The people in this part of Turkey are incredibly hospitable and we get a whole sack of apples, home made bread and of course offerings of chai. The valleys twist and turn, narrow and widen. Autumn is getting to it’s end and the nights are getting progressively colder. Snow on the mountains becomes more frequent and winter is just around the corner…
To see, feel, smell, hear and taste everything the road has to offer will be so much different than watching a documentary or reading a book about it. Sometimes it will be difficult and most of the time fantastic. We hope you will find some inspiration in our video's and maybe fuel your dreams as so many other have done for us.
