The Public Market was built in 1928 by Pedro Cerdán. This is a building of simple lines, the most basic ornamental element being its façade. Around it the weekly street market is held every Tuesday.
The building is located right in the centre of the town, next to the old Workers Instructive Circle and opposite the Duck Park which has been, and still is, a meeting place since the start of the 20th century.

WELCOME to CONDADO DE ALHAMA, centrally located in the Alhama region, less than half an hour from the Mediterranean Sea and Spain's seventh largest city: Murcia.

Condado de Alhama Golf Resort is quite probably the most complete holiday resort on the Costa Calida. Built in 2007-2009, over the last ten years it has become one of the Murcia region's most popular holiday destination for families, couples, and keen golfers from all over Europe.

Designed like an endless garden, the resort is built around the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course and all properties benefit from over 20 communal swimming pools, children's play areas and landscaped gardens that are spread throughout the resort in the fashion of one large garden, mingling with the greenery of the golf course.

The resort has a large commercial center hosting a large “Spar” supermarket, ATM / Cash machine, beauty salon, furniture shop, several bars and restaurants, the resort administrator and town hall offices and tour information center in the summer months.

To put the cherry on the top, the resort hosts one of Spain's most challenging golf courses; a true 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. Condado de Alhama is a great place to spend your (golfing) holiday, to invest as buy-to-let, or for tranquil, relaxed living the whole year round with average temperatures that very rarely drop below 16 degrees Celsius, average summer temperatures of over 30 degrees, and more than 320 days of sunshine a year!

20mins from Condado is the main Port town of Mazzaron which has all the facilities of any major town with stunning beaches a little further along the coast at Bolnuevo. Also, just 20 minutes away in the opposite direction is the old town of Alhama de Murcia with all the hustle & bustle of a traditional Spanish community.

Murcia city is just 40 mins drive away which has the most stunning architecture, restaurants, bars and shopping malls. Also, just 40 mins away in the opposite direction is the historical port town of Cartagena which is simply a wonderful place to visit for any local or tourist with plenty to see and do.

There are many more local towns and villages to explore within a short drive from Condado De Alhama not least up in the Sierra Espuna mountains.

Alhama de Murcia Spain.
Alhama is located in the Guadalentín Valley, sheltered by the Spuras of Espuña and La Muela. Defensive towers, castles, remains of walls, Renaissance mansions and noble houses reflect the long history of this valley. City that Arabs and Romans associated with the hot springs that flowed from the mountains, this characteristic is what will give name to the population, since Alhama means thermal bath. Witness to it are the ruins of the Roman baths, nowadays converted into an archeological museum. Its construction dates back to the 1st century, although they were later used in the Islamic era. On the rocky cliff that dominates the city are the remains of the Arab castle built in the s. Xll and whose feet have settled the population. We designed a massive roadtrip from the mountainous and hidden northwest corner, diagonally southeast through forgotten pueblos towards the more famed and built-up coastline. And, course, eating as we went.
