Number 6. Centre Pompidou Málaga,
Málaga boasts the first branch of the Centre Pompidou to be located outside France. The Centre Pompidou is one of the top museums in Paris, renowned for its modern and contemporary art collection.
The Centre Pompidou Málaga displays an assortment (around 80 paintings and photographs) of the prestigious Paris collection. Highlights include works by Picasso, Max Ernst, and Frida Kahlo. The center also presents temporary exhibits every few months.
Málaga's Pompidou Museum: an iconic, colourful cube embedded into Muelle Uno
What sets the Centre Pompidou apart from the other institutions that make up the long list of art galleries in Málaga is its commitment to making modern art accessible to all. In fact, the museum itself makes it clear that its programme is geared towards people who don't visit museums regularly.
The colourful cube is a draw for both strollers and travellers. The 16-metre-high structure is designed as a skylight, filtering the coastal light down into the building below. However, it's merely the tip of the iceberg, a lighthouse drawing in potential visitors.
Number 5. Soho (Art District),
Colorful large-scale street art defines this neighborhood near the Puerto de Málaga (harbor). Some of the murals in Soho were created by internationally known graffiti artists.
A cultural attraction in its own right, Soho is home to the Contemporary Art Center of Málaga and the Teatro Alameda, as well as many art galleries and artists' studios.
On the first Saturday of every month, the neighborhood hosts the Made in Soho Market, which gives visitors a chance to purchase locally crafted artworks.
Number 4. Malaga beaches,
Malaga beaches attract a significant number of tourists each year, especially in the summer months. The golden sand and sparkling sea are among the Spanish city's greatest assets. Playa de la Malagueta is the city's main beach, with restaurants and bars dotted along the sandy shore. However, there are many beaches along this stretch of the Andalusian coastline.

Close to central Malaga is La Caleta, a well-maintained beach popular among locals. For something different, head further to the fishing village of Nerja, which overlooks Burriana Beach. This is a great spot for those looking for a pretty beach and a charming village.
Number 3. Historical Botanical Garden,
Jardín Botánico Histórico La Concepción is considered one of the most alluring and important exotic gardens in Spain. It has a rich history and hosts the largest collection of subtropical plants in Europe. Built in 1855 and originally the private gardens of members of the rising bourgeois class, a family from Bilbao acquired the property in the 20th century.
La Concepción Historical-Botanical Garden was created in the mid-19th century by the Marquis and Marchioness of Loring. These exquisite grounds are filled with vibrant Mediterranean, tropical, and subtropical flora. Plant species found in the gardens come from all over the world.
Number 2. La Malagueta,
La Malagueta is great for a day of relaxation and fun along sandy shores and a seafront promenade. This beautiful palm-lined beach sits between the port of Malaga and La Caleta beach. It has been granted a Blue Flag award for following stringent environmental, educational, safety, and accessibility criteria.

The 1-km stretch of sand has ample space for tourists and residents alike. La Malagueta's onsite facilities include a children's playground and workout areas, as well as sunbeds, umbrellas, and sailing equipment rentals.
Number 1. Malaga Natural Park,
Fancying a ramble or hike? Then you have to get over to Montes de Malaga Natural Park. The whole area is massive and there are loads of trails that crisis crosses the park to follow.
Though be warned, some of the roads can feel a little sketchy at times. Especially the dirt roads. These can get muddy if it rains, so always be cautious of this when driving.
Anyway, as I said, there are heaps of routes (like the Yellow Route) that are perfect for walking, but pretty wide (almost road-like) and great for biking too.

Ronda, Spain - The BEST Day Trip in Spain (They Told Me It Wasn't Worth It)

Welcome to a new travel vlog from Ronda, Spain! Today, I took a day trip to Ronda, Spain to explore this charming town and share with you a Ronda, Spain walking tour. In this Ronda Spain Vlog I will show you the charming old town of Ronda, the impressive El Tajo Gorge, and even visit the new city of Ronda Spain!

To start off the day, I climbed the main church in Ronda, the Santa Maria Church (Iglesia de Santa Maria la Mayor) for incredible views of the city. From the top of the church, you can see all of the beautiful white washed homes with incredible views of the surrounding mountains. After visiting the top of the Santa Maria Church, I made my way to the Old Bridge, also called Puente Viejo. The Old Bridge is a beautiful stone bridge that is the perfect spot for a good picture!

Next up on my Ronda Spain walking tour, I walk over the New Bridge (Puente Nuevo) and hike down for amazing views of the El Tajo Gorge. The El Tajo Gorge is over 100 meters, or over 300 feet deep, and hiking down the gorge is an absolute must on your day trip to Ronda Spain. As you begin hiking down the El Tajo Gorge, you will be rewarded with amazing views of the New Bridge (Puente Nuevo) of Ronda, Spain. The New Bridge is absolutely spectacular, with beautiful arches and even a waterfall at the bottom! I had to showcase the beautiful views of the New Bridge in my Ronda Spain Vlog!

Next up on my Ronda Spain walking tour, I walk across the new bridge, which connects the old city and the new city. My next stop on my Ronda Spain Vlog was to visit the Plaza Del Socorro in the new town. The Plaza del Socorro is a beautiful plaza in the center of Ronda’s new town, lined with tons of charming cafes and restaurants. Next on my day trip to Ronda Spain, I walk just a few minutes away to sip a coffee on a rooftop hotel overlooking the Plaza de Toros. The Plaza de Toros in Ronda, Spain is absolutely massive and is a beautiful site to see!

After visiting the Plaza de Toros, I head to Alameda del Tajo Park, which is a calm, green park, perfect to escape the sun and relax a bit. At one end of the park you have incredible views of the mountains surrounding Ronda, Spain. My last stop on my Ronda Spain Vlog was to walk through the main pedestrian street in Ronda called Calle Espinel. I end my Ronda Spain walking tour strolling Calle Espinel, window shopping and taking in all of the sights.

I hope you enjoyed my Ronda Spain walking tour and my day trip to Ronda! Ronda is a beautiful city with tons of nature and a tranquil and charming old town!

Ronda Spain - Must Visit Attractions & Best Things To Do

Not for nothing is Ronda the third most-visited destination in southern Spain – its two halves lie either side of the El Tajo gorge and are connected by the spectacular “New Bridge”. Here are a few things worth knowing before you visit this jaw-dropping town.

It’s split in half by the El Tajo gorge
Ronda boasts one of the most extraordinary locations in Spain, sitting as it does each side of the 100 metre (328 foot) deep El Tajo gorge. There is some wonderful walking to be enjoyed in this spectacular cleft in the landscape: from the old town, a dramatic path takes you right down to the bottom of El Tajo, to the foot of the mighty “New Bridge” that spans the canyon.

#Ronda #RondaSpain #Spain

Its most famous attraction is the “New Bridge”…
Finally completed in 1793 after forty years of construction, the scary yet beautiful Puente Nuevo is Ronda’s most famous attraction. It connects up El Mercadillo (The Market), the newer part of town, with La Ciudad (The Town), the old Moorish quarter and is, quite simply, breathtaking to behold. So dangerous was its construction that 50 workers lost their lives in the process.

But there are also two other bridges
Despite its fame, Ronda’s Puente Nuevo isn’t the only bridge that crosses the El Tajo gorge. It was built to improve upon the town’s two existing bridges – the Puente Viejo (Old Bridge), which dates from 1616, and the Puento Romano, which actually dates from Ronda’s Moorish period, between the 9th and 15th ceturies. Although dwarfed by the Puento Nuevo, both are attractive structures.

It’s steeped in bullfighting
Ronda is the birthplace of the modern Spanish bullfight and the hometown of its greatest dynasty. It was here, during the 18th century, that Francisco Romero faced the bull on foot for the first time, rather on horseback. Today, two of the most famous practitioners of the style pioneered by Romero are Cayetano and Francisco Rivera Ordoñez, whose grandfather featured in Hemingway‘s A Dangerous Summer.

There’s a historic bullring
As is fitting for somewhere as steeped in the bulls as Ronda, the town is home to a beautiful bullring. Dating from 1785, this elegant, neo-classical structure is Spain’s oldest plaza de toros: it was designed by Martín de Aldehuela, the celebrated architect also behind Ronda’s stunning New Bridge. Every August, it is the setting for the famous Goyesca bullfight in which the Ordoñez brothers perform.

Watch out for the “Coño” balconies
Strolling along the Paseo E Hemingway, you’ll pass a number of balconies that hang precipitously over the edge of the Tajo gorge. These are known in Spanish slang as “Balcons Coños”, because when you look down you’ll want to exclaim “Coño!” (which literally translated is a very rude word in English, but it’s used liberally in Spanish). Step onto one yourself and you’ll see why.

Wine-making since Roman times
Ever since Roman times, the rugged scenery around Ronda has been used for wine-making. This part of Andalusia is called the Serrania de Ronda, and is particularly known for its delicious reds, although the region also produces whites and rosés. In May, boutique travel agency Toma & Coe launch their Wonderful Wine Weekends tours, which offer a superb insight into wine-making in Ronda.

Budget Traveler SHOCKED In Marbella, Spain and Puerto Banus (Experiences Luxury For The First Time)

In this Marbella Vlog, I will take you with me as I explore Marbella, Spain and Puerto Banus for a day, showing you all of the best things to do in beautiful Marbella! To start off my Marbella Spain Vlog, I take a quick boat ride over to the famous Puerto Banus, which is known as the land of luxury and a playground for the ultra rich. Puerto Banus is lined with multi-million dollar yachts, every sports car you can imagine, and beautiful seaside homes overlooking the blue water of Puerto Banus. Even if you can’t afford the life of ultra luxury (I can’t either), Puerto Banus is still a great place to hangout for a few hours. Puerto Banus is full of tons of beautiful cafes and restaurants, and tons of shops if you want to splurge a bit!

After exploring Puerto Banus, I took the boat back to the center of Marbella to continue my Marbella Vlog. I visited Marbella in 2021, and thought it was a really nice place to relax and unwind. My first stop in central Marbella in my Marbella Spain Vlog was to the city beach called Venus Beach. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice Venus Beach was in Marbella for being right in town. The water at Marbella’s city beach was really nice, and it wasn’t very crowded (at least when I went). Next on my Marbella Spain Travel Vlog, I walked through the Avenue of the Sea, which connects the beach with the old town, and is a beautiful pedestrian walkway.

Another place I loved in Marbella, Spain was the main park, Alameda Park. So next up on my Marbella Vlog, I strolled through the tranquil Alameda Park, which is full of tons of beautiful trees and a relaxing fountain in the center. After walking through Alameda Park, the next place I visited in Marbella Spain, was the famous old town. The old town in Marbella Spain is so charming, and my favorite place is the main square, Plaza of the Oranges. The main square in Marbella, Spain is absolutely stunning and is no doubt one of my favorite city squares in all of Spain! My last stop on my trip to Marbella Spain in 2021 was to Represa Park, which is right outside of Marbella’s old town and is a great place to escape the crowds and immerse yourself in the nature of Marbella!

I hope you enjoyed my Marbella Vlog and can see why I had so much fun on my day trip to Marbella, Spain!

Cadiz, Spain - Parque Genovés & Alameda Apodaca (waterfront promenade)

Alameda Apodaca, a beautiful waterfront promenade, is one of the jewels of Cadiz, Spain (located in the southern region known as Andalusia). Then, the promenade merges into an old park known as Parque Genovés, where a sort of Jurassic Park theme prevails, complete with statues of prehistoric animals such as dinosaurs, etc., a Gazebo and ancient fig tree.
