Do's and Don'ts in Cartagena // Colombia Travel Vlog
There are so many do's and don'ts in Cartagena Colombia and in this video we share the biggest ones with you! Cartagena is one of Colombia's most popular travel destinations for both foreign and local tourists, and that also means it is full of scams that you will want to avoid. There will also be tons of awesome things you will want to do during your time in Cartagena because it is a beautiful coastal city!
Some of the don'ts that we suggest you avoid (unless you are ready to pay) are taking videos of the rappers on the streets, taking pictures of the women with baskets of fruit on their heads (Palenqueras), and not being firm with the people giving massages on the beach who will start massaging you without asking! You may have to be firm because these folks know how to make a buck, but that is all part of the travel experience :)
Some of the many do's of Cartagena include seeing San Felipe Castle in the morning, visiting the beaches (maybe Playa Blanca and the Rosario Islands are better choices than Bocagrande), grabbing a drink from a street cendor near Cafe del Mar, walking around Getsemani, and shopping in El Centro. Cartagena is a beautiful coastal town with lots to offer tourists, but we would suggest learning about the scams and tourist traps before your visit!

This place was unlike ANYTHING I've ever seen before! From dense rainforest, to stunning beaches, a rich cultural history and also one of the safest places in Colombia, Tayrona National Park is definitely one of my top recommendations for places to visit in Colombia. Whether you choose to enter through the super touristy entrance called El Zaino or go more off the beaten track like I did through Calabazo, there is a lot to consider before making your trip, especially if you're planning on staying overnight. The coffee axis, the coffee triangle, or el eje cafetero as it’s known around here, is the region famous for growing of Colombian coffee. It’s considered the Andean rainforest with a cool climate perfect for cultivating coffee ranging from 8-24 degrees celsius (45-75 F). The Coffee Culutral Landscape is a UNESCO World Heritage site that includes the departments of Caldas, Risaralda, Quindío, and Tolima. Towns like Salento, Finlandia, Valle de Cocora and Circasia make up the beautiful region on Colombia.

The Perfect Lake Town Of Guatape, Colombia
Guatape is one of the top places to visit in Colombia and after going myself, I can see why! This is such an idyllic spot with amazing nature, colorful cobblestone streets and a HUGE ROCK you can climb just for fun ;) It is also one of the safest tourist places to visit in Colombia, so if you are looking to get some great Instagram shots without worrying about someone snatching your phone, this is the place to go.
