In today’s vlog, we took the ferry from Karakoy in Istanbul to the Princes Islands! We arrived at the ferry port of Adalar, rented bikes and cycled around the island if Buyukada. An absolutely fabulous day trio feom Istanbuk to escape the hustle and bustle and get out into nature.

Istanbul is located in the northwest of Turkey and is the largest city in the country. It’s not the capital city of Turkey, but is known as the country’s economic, cultural and historic center. There are many historical places to visit as well as lots of interesting art, architecture, culinary heritage, and a vibrant local atmosphere. 7. Istiklal Street
The 7th best thing to do in Istanbul is to explore the vibrant Istiklal Street. Istiklal is the busiest street in the city, comparable to Oxford Street in London or Fifth Avenue in New York City. This long stretch has a wide range of shops, cafes, restaurants, and much more.

6. “Relax” at a Hamam
The Turkish bath, or hamam, is an important part of Turkish culture. It’s a type of steam bath and also a place of public bathing that was used primarily within the Ottoman Empire starting in the 16th century. There are about 60 baths in Istanbul, offering just the traditional bath or including massages. The price can range from $15 to $50.
5. Galata Bridge & Bosphorus
The 5th best thing to do in Istanbul is to walk the Galata Bridge in the heart of Istanbul. This bridge spans the Golden Horn and stretches between modern Istanbul on the north and the Old Town of Istanbul on the south. The Golden Horn is actually an inlet of the Bosphorus river, which forms the border between the European and the Asian continent.
4. Topkapi Palace
Topkapi Palace is an architectural highlight in Istanbul and therefore ranks at number 4. Home to the Ottoman sultans for nearly 400 years, this palace was the heart of the vast Ottoman Empire. The palace has hundreds of rooms decorated with beautiful tiles, gold, and other decorations.
3. Galata Tower
The 3rd best thing to do in Istanbul is to visit the Galata Tower. This historic tower sits high above the city and is visible from all angles. It was once used as a watchtower, but is now converted into a museum. It offers the best view of Istanbul!
2. Shop at the Grand & Spice Bazaar
The runner-up activity is to shop at the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar. Both are located in the old town of Istanbul, near the Galata Bridge. The Spice Bazaar is a giant covered market with the majority of shops selling food. The market is also close to the Grand Bazaar, which is the true centre of hustle and bustle. With over 4,000 shops, the Grand Bazaar has a little bit of everything.

The best thing to do in Istanbul is to visit the Hagia Sophia. Located in the heart of Sultanahmet, this is one of the most impressive and important buildings ever constructed. Turkey’s location in the center of Asia and Europe bestows it a unique importance which no other country enjoys. Every year, hundreds of thousands Pakistanis visit Turkey. Some of them plan exclusive torus while a large number of them visit Turkey while on transit flights.
The Princes’ Islands (Kızıl Adalar or just Adalar) are a chain of nine rather small islands in the Sea of Marmara. They evolved from a place of exile during the Byzantine era, to a popular destination for tourists and Istanbulites alike to escape the hectic city life for a day. Of those nine islands, only four of them are open to the public: Büyükada, the biggest and most popular, Burgazada, Heybeliada and Kınalıada.
During the summer months, the Princes' Islands are popular destinations for day trips from Istanbul. As there is almost no motor traffic on the Islands, the only transport being bicycles and horse and cart, they are more peaceful than the city of Istanbul. They are just a short ferry ride from Istanbul, with ferries. In spring and autumn, the islands are quieter and more pleasant, although the sea can be rough in spring, autumn and winter, and the islands are sometimes cut off from the outside world when the ferry services are cancelled due to storms and high waves. During winter, with the addition of the biting cold and the strong winds and the resulting ferry cancellations, the islands become almost deserted

My Amazing Journey of Buyukada (Big Island) is a short video about Princes' Islands which is an archipelago of nine car-free islands and a popular getaway from the city. Büyükada (meaning Big Island in Turkish) is the largest of the nine so-called Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara, near Istanbul, with an area of about 2 square miles (5 km2). The population of the island today is about 7,000 people. As on the other eight islands, motorized vehicles – except service vehicles – are forbidden, so visitors explore the island by foot, bicycle or in horse-drawn phaeton carriages which function like taxi cabs, also offering round-the-island sightseeing tours. Buyukada has many historic churches, monasteries, and mansions that tourists can visit. You can also feed the birds not knowing soon you will be surrounded by a gang of cats.

Princes' Islands Buyukada - ISTANBUL, Turkey
Büyükada is the largest of the Princes' Islands 9 islands. It's also the most popular. We took a day trip out to the island while in Istanbul and explored it by walking and cycling all around.
⭐ BUYUKADA ISLAND TRAVEL TIPS ⭐
▸ There are numerous bike rental shops on the island. We recommend checking your brakes before zipping off with your bike as it is a hilly island. Peter's brakes squeaked a fair bit on our downhill rides but at least they worked!
▸ If you're required to put a deposit for your bike rental, have the store note down what you deposited on their ledger so it doesn't conveniently get forgotten when you return your bike.
▸ Aya Yorgi Church is a pilgrimage point in Turkey and there are 2 religious days in the year to avoid massive crowds which is April 23rd and September 24th.
▸ There are multiple ferry rides to and from Buyukada, be sure to check the ferry times beforehand so you don't miss the boat back.

Istanbul is a major city in Turkey that straddles Europe and Asia across Bosphorus.
Its Old City reflects cultural influences of the many empires that once ruled here. In the Sultanahmet district, the open-air, Roman-era Hippodrome was for centuries the site of chariot races,
and Egyptian obelisks also remain. The iconic Byzantine Hagia Sophia features a soaring 6th-century dome and rare Christian mosaics.
Büyükada is the largest of the nine so-called Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara, near Istanbul, with an area of about 2 square miles.
It is officially a neighborhood in the Adalar district of Istanbul Province, Turkey.
We visited the top tourist attractions in Istanbul and places that are unique and instagramable for us to enjoy our love in photohraphy and video.
We also spend one day in the beautiful Buyukada Princess Island, and we recommend you guys to rent a Bike for only 25 Turkish Lira for whole day rental,
super exciting and enjoyable place to relax away from the busy city.
