Driving in Algiers - From Hussein Dey to the Botanical Garden

I haven't used Hussein Dey as a departure point in a long time, but this time, I'm starting my video from this beautiful neighborhood of eastern Algiers to go to the city's old and beautiful Botanical Garden, aka Jardin d'Essai, located in El Hamma which is part of the municipality of Belouizdad. The Botanical Garden is so close to Hussein Dey that you could, actually go there on foot. The whole area is one of the most beautiful in all of Algiers. Have a nice trip :-)

Driving in Algiers - From Hussein Dey to Sablettes

Join me as I take you from Hussein Dey to the Sablettes Walkway, one of Algiers' new attractions, a wonderful green space on the seashore with gardens, playgrounds, a huge and guarded parking lot, a beach, and an amusement park, not very far from the Algiers Grand Mosque... Algiers around Algiers. Enjoy!

Walking Tour in Algiers - The El Harrach Prise d'Eau (Water Outlet) Park

Let's visit the El Harrach Prise d'Eau (Water Outlet) Park located in the southern part of the El Harrach neighborhood, on the road to Baraki. This is across from another neighborhood of El Harrach known as Trois Caves (Three Cellars) and not very far from the Zmirli Hospital. The Prise d'Eau Park is on the western bank of the (sadly) still polluted El Harrach River, however the river itself, although still not beautiful to look at because of its black color, isn't a nuisance because it doesn't smell at all. Algiers around Algiers. Have a nice trip and if you have suggestions for new road trips or places to visit, please leave a comment down below.

Relaxing Nature Photos of Algeria and Relaxing Music [for Stress Relief]

Five minutes of relaxing nature photos of Algeria and relaxing music for stress relief.

Algeria, officially the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, is a country in the Maghreb region of North Africa.

It is the largest country by total area in Africa, and by extension, the Arab world, and is bordered to the northeast by Tunisia; to the east by Libya; to the southeast by Niger; to the southwest by Mali, Mauritania, and Western Sahara; to the west by Morocco; and to the north by the Mediterranean Sea.

The Algerian Desert makes up more than 90% of the country's total area. Algiers is the capital and largest city of Algeria.

Driving in Algiers - From Hussein Dey to Ain Benian

Join me on this trip where I'll be driving from Hussein Dey, in eastern Algiers, to Ain Benian, Algiers' westernmost neighborhood. On this trip, I'll be visiting the coastal parts Central Algiers, Bab El Oued, Bologhine, Rais Hamidou, Bainem, and El Hammamet by driving on the seashore road to Ain Benian. That route also leads to many of Algiers' western beaches and offers, in many places, a wonderful view on the sea. Algiers around Algiers. Enjoy!

From Ain Benian to Didouche Mourad via Bouzareah

This is one of the longest trips I've ever driven in Algiers and it's the one where I'm going from Ain Benian to the city center (Didouche Mourad Street) via the interesting (and very long) route that goes through Bouzareah, Oued Koriche (Fontaine Fraîche) and Telemly. In fact, this route goes through some of the highest parts of the city before it joins Central Algiers that's on the seashore. If you have any questions or suggestions, welcome :-)

Driving in Algiers - From Ain Benian to Bouzareah through Sidi El Kebir

Join me on this interesting journey to discover the route between Ain Benian (on the western coast of Algiers) to Bouzareah via the neighborhood of Sidi El Kebir which is part of the Rais Hamidou municipality. This is one of the least known parts of Algiers, the exotic Algiers that very few people know or have ever seen and despite the fact that some parts look rural and newly developed they're also deeply connected to Algiers' history. Rais Hamidou is named after a famous captain of the late 18th and early 19th centuries of Ottoman Algiers, a historical figure who was a hero to Algiers' residents and in the Sidi El Kebir area, you can see how high and rugged this part of the Algiers Sahel massif are, which explains why, more than 10 centuries ago, Buluggin ibn Ziri chose the ancient city of Icosium, nestled in that same massif, to establish his own capital. Algiers around Algiers (AI likes this sentence which helps me appear in search engine results). Let's discover all this together!

Driving In Algiers - From Les Sources To Said Hamdine

In this video, I'm filming a quick trip I tried to take between Les Sources (Les Anassers) and Said Hamdine during the afternoon rush hour. The Ben Aknoun Motorway was congested but traffic was slowly progressing after all. It took me a solid half hour to get to Said Hamdine, though. If I went on foot, it might have taken me the same, I think. During rush hour, you could easily spend double the time it usually takes to go from one place to another.

Driving in Algeria - From Algiers (Kouba) to Tipasa

Come with us on this new inter-city trip with I had the immense pleasure to drive from Algiers to Tipasa with my friend, Baha Eddine Ait Seddik, a fellow YouTuber who owns the mobile phone technology channel Android 4 Arabia (link in the bottom). On this trip, we'll discover the highway that links Algiers to the city of Tipasa. There are a few other things to see on the way like the Christian Tomb (the Numidian mausoleum of Cleopatra Selene, built by her husband Juba II). This video will also be followed by a visit to the Numidian Park (Parc Numide), a small amusement park, zoo, and picnic area located in Hadjout, some 10 kilometers from the city of Tipasa. Tipasa is known for its Roman ruins and beautiful gardens. The wilaya (province) also has many beaches and interesting places to visit. It's at the foothills of the Dahra Mountains that go as far as the wilaya of Mostaganem in the west of the country, and the gate to those mountains is the Mount Chenoua (Djebel Chenoua). This will just be our first video about this beautiful and interesting region. Many more videos will be on the way. Just stay tuned :-) and if you speak Arabic, make sure you visit, like, and subscribe to my friend's channel:

Driving in Algiers - From Les Anassers Road to the Houari Boumediene Road then back to Les Anassers

In this video, I'm doing a round trip video where I'm driving from Les Anassers to the Houari Boumediene Connecting Road then back to Les Anassers again via National Highway 11 (N11) and National Highway 5 (N5). The Houari Boumedien Connecting Road links N11 (the Northern Bypass Motorway) to N5 allowing drivers to circle practically all of the central parts of Algiers simply by driving on motorways. In fact, the relatively dense network of motorways allows you to go from any part of Algiers to in other part in practically 20 minutes or so provided there is no traffic. Something wonderful that needs to be filmed and presented to any visitors of the city. Enjoy :-)

Driving in Algiers - From Champ-de-Manoeuvres (Place 1er Mai) to El Biar

Join me on this trip where I'll be driving from the May 1st (1er Mai) Square to El Biar, perhaps the most prominent neighborhood in the higher parts of Algiers. This trip goes through Independence Avenue and Mohamed-Bougara Boulevard. Algiers Around Algiers.

Walking in Algiers El Madania El Fidae Square

In this video, I'm filming the beautiful El Fidae Square in the central part of El Madania (ex-Clos Salembier, Algiers), where a small replica of the Martyrs' Square is installed. The square is in front of the municipality's city hall and post office. I usually use this square as a departure point to start my road trip videos from El Madania. The square has benches but it doesn't have trees for shade.
