Écija is a city and municipality of Spain belonging to the province of Sevilla, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. This municipality is popularly known as the City of the Sun, the City of Towers and the Pan of Andalusia (due to its high temperatures, especially during the summer). It is considered one of the most important Historical Ensembles in Andalusia.
Its economic development is reflected in the large number of religious and civil constructions between the 12th and 18th centuries. The 18th century is considered the Ecija Golden Age, due to its economic and artistic wealth.
Écija has industries in the agricultural sector, dedicated to different types of crops. It also has some livestock industries.
It has numerous Baroque churches and convents, palaces and palace-houses. Throughout the city there are remains of buildings and architectural elements from Roman times.

Lumang Gapan: A Heritage Site in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines
Lumang Gapan is a heritage site and one of the newest tourist spots located in the heart of Gapan City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. This heritage site is situated along Jacinto and Delos Reyes Streets and it features cobbled streets, vintage lamp posts, the old town hall of Gapan and rows of ancestral houses which were built during the Spanish and American Colonial Periods in the Philippines. A few of the ancestral houses were owned by Filipino celebrities. Mayor Emerson “Emeng” Pascual is the person behind the development of this new tourist destination in the city of Gapan.

Tras ser conquistada por Fernando III, fue repartida entre nobles, órdenes militares y la iglesia, lo que trajo el carácter latifundista de la zona. Gozó de una época de gran esplendor sobre el siglo 18, cuando se construyeron la mayoría de sus palacios, iglesias, conventos y casas palacio.
