Over than 3500 km traveled in 20 days, capturing landscapes from the bluish tones of Pamukkale to the warm ones of Cappadocia, the all passing by a great variation of colors, lights and weathers through six other cities.
I've crossed Cappadocia, Pamukkale, Ephesus, Istanbul, Konya; and tasted baklava, kunefe, doner, the turkish tea; and got the chance to meet the soul of Turkey, its people.. and got their smiles and their hospitality.
This is Turkey lived by me from north to south, and I hope you enjoy it :)

DIRECTOR’S NOTES:
Last year in 2019 the Beautiful Destinations team traveled around Egypt for three weeks capturing the entire country. BD team member Jake Irish and I (Chris Shepherd) traveled through the eastern part of the country while our teammates Ben Mikha and Cory Martin split off to explore the western part of the country.
Jake and I started in Aswan and sailed up the Nile River to Luxor where we saw ancient temples and artifacts that I had only read about growing up. We then traveled east to the Red Sea where the water was turquoise blue and crystal clear; it was not surprising that it has some of the best scuba diving in the world. We finished our journey in the Sinai Peninsula where the hospitality of the local Bedouins greeted us at every turn and the rugged mountains and vast desert landscapes took our breath away. At the same time Ben and Cory traveled where we could not in Alexandria, Siwa, Fayoum, the Black Desert, and the White Desert. We could not have done any of this without our local guide Ahmed Wahba who may or may not have slept the entire trip to get us the shots we needed.
Although Egypt is known for the Pyramids, the country was much more diverse and the eclectic landscapes we encountered made it my favorite travel destination. I hope this video captures how incredible Egypt truly is!

KONYA the most SPIRITUAL CITY in TURKEY? Tomb of Mevlana Rumi, Shams Tabrizi & Seljuk Sultan Aladdin
In my full Guide to Konya vlog, I visited the tomb of Molana Rumi (also known as Mevlana in Turkish) who is one of the greatest Sufi Saints, writer of the famous Masnavi (book of Sufi poetry also called Mesnevi), and founder of the Whirling Dervishes. Molana Rumi is also known as Jalāl ad-Dīn Mohammad Rūmī, (Jalaladdin Rumi, Celâleddîn-i Rumi). We went for the Urs of Molana Rumi which marks the date of death of a saint as a celebration since it is when the saint meets his Lord and Creator Allah SWT. The Urs of Mevlana was celebrated from 7th to 17th December with various sufi events to celebrate and remember his life.
Konya was once the capital of the Seljuk Empire and we were fortunate to visit Aladdin Hill Park Tepesi which the famous Seljuk Palace (Selcuk Saray) once stood (and is currently being excavated). We visited Aladdin Cami (Alauddin Mosque) which is over 800 years old and behind the mosque is the Tomb of Sultan Aladdin as well as his father, son, and other Sultans of the Seljuk Empire. Walking through the beautiful Aladdin Cami was surreal knowing that Maulana Rumi gave his religious sermons here and many great Sultans would have prayed here too.
We walked through the old bazaars in Konya and tried delicious Turkish food including Borek, Lokum, Sahlep and of course Turkish Kahve (coffee). There are many stunning mosques in Konya including Selimiye Mosque, Aziziya Mosque and Alauddin Qayqubad Cami.
We also visited the Ince Minare Museum (Ince Minaret Medrese, İnce Minareli Medrese) which was constructed in the 13th Century as a Madrassa and today houses some incredible stone and woodwork carvings from the Seljuk dynasty as well as Ottoman times.
Konya is one of Turkey's most historical cities, and the home of Mevlana and his famous Whirling Dervish. There are old bazaars, mosques and cobbled streets to get lost in - a city not to be missed in Central Turkey.
Finally, we show you what is believed to be the tomb and resting place of Shams Tabrizi, who was the teacher and Spiritual Guide of Mevlana Rumi. Some believe that Shams-e Tabrizi walked away and never returned, whilst others believe he is now resting here in Konya. There certainly was a strong spiritual feeling when we visited the Tomb of Shams Tabrizi. We were also kindly gifted books of Sufism by a stall owner just outside the tomb.

We came for only 3 nights, but wound up staying a whole week, if you’re staying for a shorter time period, you won’t be asking yourself what to do in Kas, because truly there is a ton there to keep you busy. From scuba diving in Kas to a Kas Kekova boat tour we spent entire days at sea before returning to the marina area for some delicious food and a fun night out.
If relaxing is more your thing Kas has some beach clubs in town, but also two world renowned beaches, Kaputaş Beach and Patara Beach, nearby, either of which may be the best beach in Turkey.

How to get to Anzac Cove WITHOUT A TOUR or GUIDE! We couldn't find much information so hopefully this helps!
Pleasantly surprised would be a massive understatement to describe our week in Çanakkale.
WE LOVED IT!
In this video we figure out how to get to ANZAC cove by ourselves during winter and without paying for a tour. turns out that it's not as easy as we thought! BUT there are some positives too.
We also head back to Canakkale and try 3 things we had our eye on the whole time we were there!

Canakkale Turkey 4K: Trojan Horse & Naval Museum Part 2
I was in Çanakkale back in September. On my final full day, I went to see the famous Trojan Horse that was used in the movie Troy.
Also, I had a chance to check out the impressive Naval Museum which exceeded my expectations. I ended the day with a ferry ride back to Gallipoli.
Çanakkale is a fascinating place to travel to as it's immersed in history. In addition to this, I feel it's a wonderful place to visit as a tourist due to how immaculate it is and how the weather and surrounding sea makes it an ideal place to visit.

Welcome back to our last video in our Turkey travel series! After one last surreal sunrise in Cappadocia, we hopped on a quick flight back to Istanbul. In Istanbul we met up with our friend, Enes, to spend the day exploring the city by ferry on the Bosphorus.
Enes wanted to show us how the locals travel via ferry on the Bosphorus and he made sure to take us on a route rarely traveled by tourists. Initially, we thought we were just going to be site seeing but it quickly turned into an impromptu food tour! We stopped along the way and tried stuffed mussels, fruit from the local market, cig kofte wraps, and a couple yummy Turkish drinks!
