The limestone pools are of course a unique and beautiful sight for pictures, but there’s so much more than that at Pamukkale. In fact there’s an entire ancient city behind the Thermal Pools of Pamukkale.

The best thing to do in Izmir is to go on a day-trip to Ephesus. Ephesus is our favorite ancient ruin in all of Turkey. The ruins are located about 80kms or 50miles from Izmir, near the city of Selçuk. You can easily get there by train, bus, or car and combine it with a visit to the House of Virgin Mary, a sacred place. Ephesus was an ancient port city and once considered the most important Greek city and the most important trading center in the Mediterranean region.

The ultimate turkey travel guide in 2022 is here! What to do in Alacati Cessme Turkey. Alacati is about a 50 minutes ride from Izmir. Alacati is a small town in the West coast of Turkey. It is a very popular holiday destination amongst local Turksih people. Cesme Alacati came highly recommended and its off the beaten path for international tourists. After spending some days in Istanbul, it was time to explore other parts of Turkey. We took a 1 hour flight from Istanbul to Izmir Turkey and then drove for 50 minutes to Cesme Alacati.

Çeşme is a Turkish resort town west of Izmir, on the Aegean Sea. Overlooking the harbor is Çeşme Castle, a restored military fortress. It now houses the Çeşme Archaeology Museum, with displays of marble busts, metal coins and artifacts from nearby excavations. On the east side of the Çeşme peninsula is sandy Ilica Beach, with warm thermal sulfur springs. Around Çeşme are clear waters and accessible dive sites.

Die Stadt Izmir in der Türkei ist besonders beliebt bei türkischen Touristen. Das Leben spielt sich hier draußen ab: Egal ob Backgammon im Park, Trommeln in der Nacht oder ein Lamacun to Go. Der Konak-Platz ist das Wahrzeichen der Stadt. Von hier erreichst du schnell den Kemeraltı-Basar mit über 10.000 Läden. Der Asansör bringt dich in den höheren Teil der Stadt und verschafft dir einen schönen Ausblick auf die Stadt.
Kulinarisch solltest du Türkischen Mokka probieren, aber auch Lamacun und andere Leckereien. Bomba ist typisch für Izmir. Eine süße, warme Geschmacksexplosion im Mund.
Mit einem Mietwagen erreichst du das historische Ephesos – eine antike, gut erhaltene Ruinen-Stadt. 250.000 Menschen sollen hier mal gelebt haben. Es ist eine der beliebtesten Sehenswürdigkeiten rundum Izmir. Ein weiteres Highlight ist Pamukkale. Die Kalksteinterrassen sind UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe und ein richtiger Instaspot.
Zum Baden und für feinen Sandstrand fährst du am besten nach Çeşme. Der Ilica-Strand ist besonders schön. Ebenfalls empfehlenswert ist Alaçatı – ein wundervoll atmosphärisches Dorf.

BEST BEACH IN TURKEY?! ???????? | Alaçatı & Çeşme
In this video we visit the beautiful beach towns of Alaçatı & Çeşme!! Watch as we go swimming in Ilıca Plajı before taking the Dolmuş to Boyalık Plajı and swimming at what we think might be the best beach in Turkey!! Afterwards we head back in to Alaçatı to check our the famous windmills, eat Kumru & walk around Alaçatı Çarşı before finishing our day.
