Top 15 Best Things to do & see in Gran Canaria !

Our 15 best things to do and see in Gran Canaria. 4K Video with beautiful images !
Visit Gran Canaria and enjoy this beautiful island...

For any other information we are happy to answer your questions.

In this video you will see:
- Roque Nublo which is considered one of the biggest natural crags in the world.
- Watching the sun set behind Teide volcano over in Tenerife is the perfect way to round off a day on Amadores beach
- GuiGui secret beach
- Maspalomas Sand Dunes one of the must visit if you are in Gran Canaria-
- To appreciate the essence of a place and soak up its atmosphere there is nothing better than getting to the highest point. In Gran Canaria this is the Pico de las Nieves lookout point right in the centre of the island.
- Mirador del Balcon viewpoint is in the far west of Gran Canaria and hangs over the sea at the top of a steep cliiff edge with spectacular views out over the Atlantic Ocean. From the viewpoint you get a clear view of a zigzag wall of sea cliffs called the “Dragon’s Tail”. Turning back to look at the island you see the La Arena Valley and the wide, green La Aldea de San Nicolás.
- Las Vacas ravine has become a well-known tourist attraction for visitors of Gran Canaria because of its peculiar rock formations called Tobas de Colores which bear a certain resemblance to the famous Antelope Canyon in the United States.
- Las Canteras beach in northeast Gran Canaria, right in the capital city Las Palmas, is amongst Europe’s most famous city beaches. Its natural offshore lava reef acts as a wavebreak and protects the sand and the exuberant marine life that make Las Canteras a top snorkeling spot.Las Canteras is an ideal beach for long barefoot walks as it’s golden sand stretches for over two kilometres. during the day you can sunbathe by the sand sculptures, rent parasols and loungers or surf at the southern end.
- Barranco del Medio with Los Azulejos de Veneguera is one of those surprises that make me pull the car over, pull the hand brake and run out with the camera and the drone :)
- Puerto de las Nieves in Agaete, Gran Canaria, is one of the most charming coastal towns on the Canarian island that is worth visiting for a few days of rest and relaxation.
Its spectacular landscapes (The El Dedo de Dios Monument), warm climate, leisure sites, and natural pools make the Puerto de las Nieves in Gran Canaria an appetizing stop to enjoy the best sailor’s style of the archipelago.
- Tufia hamlet is famous for it's existential battle against the Spanish government. Its beach, tiny as it is, is the headquarters of resistance.
Little more than a cluster of whitewashed houses by the sea, Tufia is far more shabby than chic and only has a chiringuito bar during the summer. However, it's become a battleground between the Spanish government and residents.
Built without permission in the 1960s in an area that is now a nature reserve, almost all of Tufia's 90 houses are scheduled for demolition. The locals are fighting to protect their seaside homes and have even arranged international art festivals to publicise their fight. It'll take a brave politician to send in the bulldozers as Tufia is a cause celebré amongst Gran Canaria's alternative crowd.
- This neighbourhood in the Gáldar municipality promises fun right down the street, since that’s where you’ll find both the thoroughfare and the sea. Native painter and expressionist Antonio Padrón used to spend summers with his family on the beach of Sardina del Norte.
This paradise in the north of Gran Canaria has Sardina Beach, several piers, Roqueta beach, and Barranquillo del Vino, where expert swimmers bathe. The Sardina Lighthouse area is ideal for diving, spearfishing, and hiking. Skirting the coast from there, you’ll reach the town of Gáldar.

Bienvenido and welcome to Murcia! This region is sandwiched between Valencia and Andalusia, and has a ton of awesome stuff to do. So I'm going to show you my top ten favorite things to do in Murcia. Come on, let's go!

1) Beaches
With over 250km of coast, there are all kinds of amazing beaches and costal scenery, to be enjoyed year round. Thanks to 300 days of sun a year and an average temperature of 19 degrees Celcius.

2) Adventure
In the region of Murcia, there is no shortage of adventure activities. From hiking in the rugged mountains, to all along the picturesque coast………..Cycling enthusiasts, will be happy to hear there is also plenty of terrain for them to explore, too. A 150 peaks above 1000m makes it an ideal location for all types of adventure sports.

3) Gastronomy
Like the rest of Spain, Murcia is a food lovers paradise. Serving all the typical spanish dishes, as well as some locally inspired cuisine. Excellent choices for both land and sea fare, however, they are especially known for their produce

4) Vino
You have to wash down that delicious food with something, it might as well be some locally produced wines. There are three distinct wine regions, each producing several varietals worth savoring. So fill your glass and spend sometime with some good friends.

5) City life
If you are looking for something a lit bit more upbeat, head to the cities of Murcia and Cartagena, which make up the only two metropolitan areas in the province. Murcia is found inland and has a population of around half a million….while Cartagena is found along the coast with nearly a quarter million inhabitants. Both are great places to visit museums, cafes, markets, shops and just admire the architexture.

6) nature
The autonomous community of Murcia is blessed with some excellent and diverse natural settings. If you like green, head to the dense forests of Sierra Espuña, or if you want to see some crazy wind erosion go to Bolnuevo, pink salt flats and flamingos can be seen at Salinas de San Pedro, and one of my favorites is the Ricote Valley which has the look of an oasis, tucked between the desert and the mountains.

7) History & Culture
All throughout the region you will find remnants of past civilizations. Dating back more than 3000 years. This can be observed by visiting the many cathedrals and archeological sites. For a more cultural experience I recommend visiting some small towns. Ojós, Blanca, and Caravaca de la Cruz just to name a few.

8) Nautical sports (Kayaking, fishing, boating)
With all that coastline, there is plenty of adventure to be had here too. Kayaking, Swimming, fishing, scuba diving and sailing can be enjoyed all year round. So don’t forget your swimsuit.

9) Thermal Spas
One of the most leisurely activities to do in the region, is visit a thermal spa. I had the pleasure of experiencing the historic Balneario de Archena wellness facility. The minerals in the water have a therapeutic effect, making it A great place to relax and unwind, after a few days of exploring.

10) Golf
If you like to swing the clubs, the region of Murcia is one of the best locations in all of Europe. Great weather and A total of 22 golf courses are here waiting for you.

Well, that ends or top ten things to do in Murcia video. I hope it helps you out a bunch, but I've got to go because my foods getting cold. Until next time, see you later!

Aguilas MURCIA Spain Places to visit #camposolexplorers

Aguilas is a coastal town with the beautiful castle of San Juan de las Águilas and is on the southern-most tip of the region. This town has been inhabited since the Palaeolithic age, and many other cultures, including the Argaric, Phoenician, Roman and Moslem people, have left traces here. Particular interest are the Roman remains, especially the baths, which date from the 1st & 4th century.

ÁGUILAS

Located in the most southern point of the Murcia coast, bordering with Andalusia, Águilas is famous for its beaches, seafaring tradition and rich cultural heritage.

Thanks to its small fishing port, Águilas offers exquisite cuisine based on fresh fish and seafood. The port also offers a wide range of water sports. In addition to diving along its seabed, it offers the opportunity for windsurfing, sailing and catamarans. For those who prefer, there are dry activities with interesting routes from Águilas to Calarreona, along the GR-92 which runs parallel to the sea.

In short, a place full of culture and tradition next to the Mediterranean which is a preferred all year round destination for enjoying life's pleasures.

A short visit to Águilas in Costa Blanca, Spain

Águilas is a municipality and seaport of southeastern Spain, in the province of Murcia. It is situated at the southern end of Murcia's Mediterranean coastline, otherwise known as the Costa Cálida, near the border with the Province of Almería.

The municipality has a population of 35,000 people, and an area of approximately 253.7 km², with some 28 km of coastline. It is 105 km southwest of the provincial capital, Murcia.

Águilas is built on the landward side of a small peninsula, between two bays—the Puerto Poniente on the south-west, and the Puerto Levante on the north-east. The Puerto de Aguilas, close to the centre of the city, is flanked on its western side by a large rocky hill. On its top sits the Castillo de San Juan de las Águilas castle, built in the 18th century on the site of a much older Carthaginian fortification. King Charles I ordered its refurbishment in 1530 to help protect the coast from Turkish and Algerian incursions. The rock cut from the south side of the castle's hill, and which left it with an almost vertical wall up to the castle on that side, was used to expand Aguilas' port in the early 20th century. The city sits at the end of the Murcia to Aguilas RENFE train service.

Águilas has numerous beaches along a 25-kilometre stretch, including Cala de la Cueva de las Palomas, Cala de la Herradura, Playa Amarilla, Playa de Calabardina, Playa de Calacerrada or Playa de Los Cocedores, Playa de Cope, Playa de la Cañada del Negro, Playa de la Casica Verde, Playa de la Cola, Playa de la Colonia, Playa de la Galera, Playa de la Higuerica, Playa de la Rambla Elena, Playa de las Pulgas, Playa de Poniente, Playa del Arroz, Playa del Barranco de la Mar, Playa del Pozo de las Huertas, Playa del Pocico del Animal, Playa del Pozo, Playa El Rafal, Playa del Charco, Playa del Sombrerico, Playa Ensenada de la Fuente, Playa de Calabarrilla, Playa El Hornillo, Playa de Las Delicias, Playa de Levante, Playa del Matalentisco, Playa La Tortuga, Playa de Calarreona, Playa La Carolina and Playa del Pino. Most are small and intimate.

Three kilometres northeast of Aguilas is la Isla del Fraile (Monk Island), so named thanks to the similarity of the island's silhouette to a monk's hood. The island has a small rocky beach and a very steep geography. The top of the island gives way to a sudden drop down to the sea on the island's south side. The island was inhabited by the Romans, who used it to export fish byproducts to Rome in amphorae. The remains of a Roman wall are still visible, as are a couple of structures of the early 20th century built by an eccentric British lord who lived on the island and used it for contraband purposes.

Adjacent to the island, on the mainland, is la Playa Amarilla, which is the coastal delineation of La Isla del Fraile residential development. This property was initially developed by Dr. Antonio Sáez Jimenez with basic infrastructure, including construction of the first road over the mountain and down to the beach, as well as the planting of thousands of trees; the development was known as Playa Niagara through the 1970s and 1980s. In the 1970s, graves from the Roman era were discovered near the property's coast, facing the island. The flora in the area is very dry, mostly characterized by shrublands such as the Ziziphus lotus, named Azufaifo locally.

Águilas has a subtropical desert climate (BWh) according to the Köppen climate classification with very mild winters and hot summers. Águilas has one of the few truly desertic climates in Spain. The rainfall is very scarce and albeit not having any wet season, summer is the driest season, being almost rainless. The area around the city is very arid, most of the natural vegetation in the area and nearby hills is characterized by shrublands.

In front of the Hornillo Pier, on the Isle of Fraile, Scottish aristocrat Hugh Pakenham Borthwick, called Don Hugo by the locals, took up residence in 1912. During World War I Borthwick worked as a British spy and alerted a liaison officer whenever a ship from Germany or from a neutral country left the pier carrying iron ore. Following the alert, the ship in question would be sunk by British submarines. After the war, Borthwick left for England where died in 1950.

Today, the economy of the locality depends principally on summertime tourism by middle-class visitors and the intensive agriculture of greenhouse vegetables.

AGUILAS, Spain Walking Tour ???????? Relaxing Seaside Walk 2023 [4K 60 FPS].

Welcome to join us on a walking tour through the charming town of Águilas, located along the stunning southern coast of Spain.

We will begin our journey at the impressive Castillo de San Juan de las Águilas, an ancient fortress perched high on a hill, offering breathtaking views of the town and the Mediterranean Sea. It's a fantastic starting point for our exploration.

As we descend from the castle, we'll guide you through the heart of Águilas. Our path takes us to the lively port area, where fishing boats gently sway on the waves, and seafood restaurants invite for their fresh catches of the day. The maritime atmosphere here is palpable, immersing you in the coastal way of life.

Next, we'll make our way to Plaza de España, the central gathering spot in Águilas. Surrounding the square, you'll find colorful buildings and bustling cafes, making it the perfect place to soak up the local ambiance. Consider taking a break for a cup of Spanish coffee or treating yourself to a delicious ice-cream.

Continuing our adventure, we'll wander through a charming pedestrian street lined with boutique shops and lively markets. It's an ideal place to dive into the local shopping atmosphere and perhaps discover some unique souvenirs.

Our path then leads us to the blue-flag beaches of Águilas, where golden sands meet the sparkling Mediterranean waters. Walking along the seaside promenade, you'll have the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of this coastal paradise.

Finally, we'll guide you to some spectacular sea views. Standing by the shore, you'll see the beautiful Mediterranean stretching out in front of you, blending with the endless sky. It's a view that encourages you to take a moment, enjoy the quiet, and appreciate the calmness all around.
