Xihua Road is a road full of historical charm and market atmosphere. It is located in Liwan District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China. It starts from Renmin North Road in the east and ends at the Guangsan Railway in the west. It is 1,600 meters long and 16 meters wide. This road not only carries the memory of Guangzhou's old city, but also an important epitome of Guangzhou's food culture.
Historical evolution
Ancient period: Xihua Road was the road to enter Guangzhou from Rainbow Bridge (Simayong) in ancient times. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was called Wanshanli, and the eastern section was called Immigrant City. This is because the Qing government forced coastal residents from Panyu, Xin'an, Xiangshan and other counties to move here.
Qing Dynasty: Later, Immigrant City was changed to Yimin City. Behind this name change, there is a deep historical background, which reflects the policy of migrating coastal residents in the early Qing Dynasty and the subsequent cover-up of this policy.
Modern and contemporary: In 1933, Xihua Road was expanded into a modern road and named Xihua Road. Since then, this road has gradually become an important part of Guangzhou's old city.

Fengjing Ancient Town, belonging to Jinshan District, Shanghai, is located in the southwest of Shanghai, at the junction of the five districts and counties of Shanghai and Zhejiang. It is the most important Southwest Gateway from Shanghai to the southwestern provinces. Fengjing Town became a city in the Song Dynasty, and was officially established in the 12th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1275). It is an ancient town with a history of more than 1,500 years.
枫泾古镇，隶属于上海市金山区，于上海市西南，与沪浙五区县交界，是上海通往西南各省的最重要的“西南门户”。枫泾镇成市于宋，元朝至元十二年（1275年）正式建镇，是一个已有一千五百多年历史文明的古镇。
枫泾镇是中国历史文化名镇，也是上海新八景之一，历史上因地处吴越两国交汇之处，素有吴越名镇之称；枫泾为典型的江南水乡古镇。古镇周围水网遍布，镇区内河道纵横，桥梁有52座之多，现存最古的为元代致和桥，距今有近700年历史。
枫泾全镇有29处街坊，84条巷弄。仍完好保存的有和平街、生产街、北大街、友好街四处古建筑物，其中北大街是商业古街风貌保存最完整的大街。全镇临河而建的商业长廊达到800多米，以前这里曾经是吴越两界最繁荣的商业街，也是上海地区现存规模较大的水乡古镇，堪称东方威尼斯。
当地最具人情味的江南水乡的典型建筑——古长廊。这条长廊全长268米，是江南水乡现存的长廊中数一数二的。在长廊里侧是商店和民房，外沿是与上海、浙江、江苏等地相通的市河，河水流向黄浦江。
枫泾是蜚声中外的金山农民画的发源地。枫泾人民热爱生活，蓝印花布、家具雕刻、灶壁画、花灯、剪纸、绣花、编织等民间艺术源远流长。浓郁的民间文化艺术，孕育了金山农民画。
20世纪30年代起，枫泾又成为中国黄酒业的重要产地。黄酒和一百多年来盛销不衰的枫泾丁蹄、桂花状元糕、天香豆腐干三大土特产被今人称作“枫泾四宝”。

小北路：
小北路處于越秀山麓。清代時稱為小北直街。清同治年間，由洪橋大街到小北門城牆內為客家居住區，主業家庭紡紗織布。
1918年拆小北門，擴建為道路，稱為小北路；城門外地段因為是連通白雲山的泥路，故稱登峰路。時小北豆腐寮一帶多為小販和貧民居住的木屋區。民國後期小北路一帶形成鬧市，茶居、百貨、食雜等店鋪多達幾十家。登峰路兩旁是牛舍、茶寮，屋後就是菜田，如同鄉間。
1949年後，小北織布業發展旺盛有十幾家布廠，著名的有吳義興、泰盛、環通泰等。後來布廠被當局公私合營，合併成泰盛、三新兩間大布廠。
20世紀50年代擴建馬路時與小北路連接，統稱為小北路，1966年改稱為登峰北、中路，1981年復稱小北路。改革開放後，小北路兩旁民國時期留存的騎樓被全部清拆，開發高樓大廈。
小北花圈：
小北綠島噴泉俗稱小北花圈，位於小北路與越秀北路交匯處，是廣州最早的交通綠島噴泉，該名也泛指附近一帶，原址是廣州城小北門。
小北花圈建於1963年，面積630平方米，文化大革命期間被毀，1979年修復。採用廣州園林塑石工藝建石山，周圍種植紅色美人蕉，中央配以噴水池。20世紀90年代後期，車流量劇增，該處成為交通堵塞點，2000年拆除花圈，建成平交路口疏導交通。目前仍有部分老一輩人習慣叫該區域做小北花圈。巴士站點亦保留「小北花圈」之名。
小北門：
小北門始建於明代，原來的地址是在小北路和越秀北路交界處，也就是小北花圈所在處。2009年，廣州市政府決定復建小北門城門，以取代原有越秀公園小北路門。2009年，四個重建方案提出公示。2010年5月重建工程啟動，預計7月可以完工。新建的城門高16.5米，中間一個寬4米，高5.5米的拱門。拱門上方，城樓正面，鑲有「越秀公園」門匾石刻。
匯興源餐館：
爺爺輩創立經營。
父輩經營，店名是“奇香飯店”。
1950年代，因公私合營，飯店變更為公共飯堂。
1970年代，店鋪歸還吳家。
1981年，第三代接手，當時門牌號是“小北路173號”。
1980年代末，因拆應元路，搬至下塘繼續經營。
1990年，回遷至小北路經營，門牌更換為「小北路177號」，店面變更為3層樓高建築。
北較場：
位於越秀區東風東路西段北側的黃華路一帶。
清康熙三十年（1691）在黃華塘（今黃華路）北建設北較場，長420米，寬212米，面積8.93萬平方米，供駐軍、操練、閱兵之用。
清朝廣州將軍拜音達禮奉旨照西安例設計製造鳥槍1500支，奏准清廷以北較場作旗兵操演之所。
1921年，第八屆省運動會在此舉行。
1923年，廣州市國民政府市政廳將這一帶划入市區，成立員警區署，創辦陸軍講習學校，建廣東省第一監獄。
1927年，中國共產黨領導的國民革命軍第四軍軍官教導團（團長葉劍英）駐於北較場四標營盤，後參加「廣州起義」。。
現己開發為廣東省勞改局、廣東省公安廳等單位和企業駐地，僅有北較場路、北較場橫路等派生地名成為歷史印記。
丹桂里：
丹桂里，在小北路的西面路邊，地處明代廣東貢院南側，西達洪桂坊。 洪桂坊北接洪橋街。 古時貢院為省會鄉試考場，古代稱科舉考試及第為“折桂”，故有丹桂里之稱。
天香街，在小北路的西面路邊，地處明代貢院舊址附近的老街巷，因寓含幾百年前眾多讀書人“蟾宮折桂”的願望，故名為天香街。
由天香街行約100米，右轉是洪橋街，左轉是洪桂坊。
古代稱學校為“黉”（hóng），借指稱貢院門前之石橋為“黉橋”，橋南巷道亦得名為“黉橋街”。 文革時認為「黉」字是「四舊」，而且難寫和比較少人認識，於是取諧音改為“洪”，“黉橋街”改為“洪橋街”，洪桂坊原稱“黉桂坊”，也與黉門折桂相關。 丹桂里、天香街、洪橋街、洪桂坊都是古人給貢院附近街巷取吉祥的名稱。
Xiaobei Road:
Xiaobei Road is located at the foot of Yuexiu Mountain. In the Qing Dynasty, it was called Xiaobeizhi Street. During the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, the main business was home spinning and weaving. After 1949, the cloth factory was jointly operated by the public and private enterprises of the authorities, and merged into two large cloth factories, Taisheng and Sanxin.
In 1918, the small north gate was demolished and expanded into a road, called Xiaobei Road; Because the outer section of the city gate is a dirt road connecting Baiyun Mountain, it is called Dengfeng Road.
In the 50s of the 20th century, when the road was expanded, it was connected with Xiaobei Road, collectively known as Xiaobei Road, renamed Dengfeng North and Middle Road in 1966, and renamed Xiaobei Road in 1981.

Qingyan Ancient Town, one of the most famous historical and cultural towns in Guizhou Province, lies in the southern suburb of Guiyang. As an ancient town, covering an area of 300 hectares (740 acres), Qingyan Town was originally built in 1378.
Nowadays, because of its long history and strong cultural atmosphere, the town has become an attractive destination for numerous domestic and foreign tourists. Dating back to the beginning of the Ming Dynasty (1368--1644), Qingyan town was built for military reasons. Because of its geographical location, Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of Ming Dynasty, established it as a station for transferring military messages and to house a standing army. Through years of modification and repeated restoration, Qingyan Ancient Town has gradually become a distinctive ancient town with cultural features of Ming and Qing Dynasties (1644 - 1911).
Although small in size, the Qingyan Ancient Town has a well-planned architectural style, hundreds of sites of relics, and an influential local culture. Due to the local geology, Qingyan Ancient Town was built completely of stone. Visitors can see spectacular city walls built right on the cliffs with vast rocks, which divided Qingyan into inner and outer towns. There are four gates in the wall facing north, south, east and west. Outside the four gates, there were originally eight stone tablets, which were considered the symbols of Qingyan Ancient Town. Of the eight, three remain with delicate sculptures on each surface. The most famous one is called Zhao Lunli Baisui (longevity) Fang. Walking inside the inner town, visitors will surely marvel at the ancient architecture here. There are over 30 types including monasteries, temples, cabinets, caves, courtyards and palaces. All of them were delicately designed by the skillful architects of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
A number of exquisite articles, such as the stone sculptures of Ciyun Temple and wooden sculptures of Shoufo Temple are all worth a look. You can visit the ancient business streets to admire the elegant classical wooden houses. If you like, stop at one of those tea houses and have a taste of the famous local snacks, such as Qingyan tofu, rice tofu and rose sugar. Religious culture here is also quite rich, including Buddhism, Taoism, Catholicism and Christianity. If you are interested in Buddhism, you can take this chance to learn the typical Buddhism culture here. Also, you will be impressed by patter of the Taoists. What's more, you will be surprised to find that so many residents here are Catholic and Christian, since the Catholicism was introduced here in 1851 by a French churchman and the Christianity was introduced to Qingyan Ancient Town nearly 70 years ago.
While traveling there, visitors will hear many stories of historical figures that were born or lived here. The first Zhuang Yuan (winner of the national examination) of Guizhou Province during the Qing Dynasty was Mr. Zhao Yijiong who was born and brought up in Qingyan Town. Mr. Chang Pinggang, the General Secretary of Dr. Sun Yat-sen was a county fellow of Qingyan Town. Qingyan Ancient Town is really a fantastic place for visitors to learn about Chinese ancient culture. Time permitting, it is worthwhile to stay in Qingyan Ancient Town for one or two days. By doing so, you can grasp a better sense of the classical elegance of this unique ancient town in the early morning.

乾炒牛河，或稱名牛肉炒河粉，是粵菜的一道菜餚，也是香港飲食文化的一部分，以芽菜、河粉、牛肉等炒成。 在香港以至海外的港式酒家、茶餐廳，乾炒牛河幾乎成為必備菜色。
傳說乾炒牛河先於廣州附近出現，第一個炒乾炒牛河的人叫許彬。 許彬與家人以經營熟食檔為生。 一晚，檔中豆粉用完，有一個來自軍隊的偵察隊頭目到檔夜宵，點了濕炒牛河。 許彬的哥哥因檔中沒有豆粉，加上晚上宵禁，不能往外購買，拒絕炒製。 頭目氣上心頭，拔出手槍要脅。 許氏兄弟的母親立時打圓場，並著許彬炒河粉。 許彬隨即想到乾炒：先用油鑊爆香紅蔥頭，然後把河粉、芽菜及泡過油的半熟牛肉下鑊炒製。 當頭目嚐過乾炒牛河後，稱其一絕，許家免了一場災難。 傳說後來許家的熟食檔，成為廣州第一家販售乾炒牛河的食肆。
乾炒牛河的主要材料是河粉與嫩牛肉。 制法是先把嫩牛肉炒至半熟後撈起另置。 然後下油、蔥及豆芽菜，再撈起另置，以免易出水的豆芽菜影響乾炒效果。 將半熟牛肉放回鍋中，下河粉快炒拌勻，先後加入生抽（淡醬油）、老抽（濃醬油），加入先前炒過的豆芽菜等，最後再加入韭黃，炒勻即可上 桌。
乾炒牛河講究“鑊氣”，必須猛火快炒。 要炒勻之餘，手勢不能太快，不然粉就會碎掉。 油的分量亦必須準確控制，不然會出油不好吃。 因此乾炒牛河被認為是考驗粵菜廚師炒菜技術的一大試煉，手藝好壞一試便知。

Stir-fried Beef Ho, or beef stir-fried rice noodles, is a Cantonese dish and a part of Hong Kong’s food culture. It is stir-fried with bean sprouts, rice noodles, beef, etc. In Hong Kong-style restaurants and tea restaurants in Hong Kong and even overseas, dry-fried beef river has almost become a must-have dish.
Legend has it that dry-fried beef river first appeared near Guangzhou, and the first person to fry dry-fried beef river was named Xu Bin. Xu Bin and his family make a living by running a cooked food stall. One night, when the stall ran out of soybean noodles, a leader of the detective team from the army came to the stall for a late-night snack and ordered fried beef noodles. Xu Bin's brother refused to fry because there was no bean flour in the stall and due to the night curfew, he could not buy it outside. The leader became angry and pulled out his pistol to threaten. The mother of the Xu brothers immediately reconciled the situation and cooked rice noodles with Xu Bin. Xu Bin immediately thought of dry frying: first saute the shallots in a wok with oil until fragrant, then stir-fry the rice noodles, bean sprouts and half-cooked beef soaked in oil in the wok. When the leader tasted the dry-fried beef river, he said it was a masterpiece, and the Xu family avoided a disaster. Legend has it that Xu’s cooked food stall later became the first restaurant in Guangzhou to sell dry-fried beef river.
The main ingredients of dry-fried beef river are rice noodles and tender beef. The preparation method is to fry the tender beef until it is half cooked, then remove it and set aside. Then add oil, green onions and bean sprouts, then remove and set aside to prevent the bean sprouts that are prone to water from affecting the dry frying effect. Put the half-cooked beef back into the pot, add the rice noodles and stir-fry quickly, then add light soy sauce (light soy sauce), dark soy sauce (thick soy sauce), the bean sprouts that were fried before, etc., and finally add the chives, stir-fry well and serve table.
Dry-fried Niuhe pays attention to wok gas and must be stir-fried quickly over high heat. When stir-frying, don't move too fast, otherwise the flour will break. The amount of oil must also be accurately controlled, otherwise it will be oily and unpalatable. Therefore, dry-fried beef river is considered to be a major test of the cooking skills of Cantonese chefs. The quality of the skill can be determined by trying it.

山无塔以塔名亦异，有石似塔，故名。
澄海的塔山风景区因山色秀美，碧水平湖引人入胜。但历史上并塔山无塔，这遗憾使塔山缺少了内涵。1998年以来，经汕头及澄海一批领导和有识之士的共同努力，塔山建起了一个以记载史实，启迪后人为主题的公园:塔园。塔园以七层、35米高的思安塔为主体，4座小塔遥相呼应，不仅改写了塔山无塔的历史，而且在潮汕乃至全国首创建设既可供游人观赏，又可全面博览、反省文革史的历史教育基地。
区内的文革博物馆于2005年正式建成开放，这是中国第一个由民间兴建的文革博物馆。
山上还有胜景众多,有距今900多年历史、香火旺盛的塔山古寺, 多处亭观, 景和名人手笔石刻.
Tashan Scenic Park is located on the outskirts of Chenghai city, approximately 17 km from Shantou. Ta Shan literally means Pagoda Mountain but there had never been a pagoda to grace its grounds. According to a well-quoted saying, the rocks on this mountain give it a shape like that of a pagoda, hence it was named thus.
In 1998, a brand new 7-level, 35m pagoda was erected in the park as a new scenic landmark. It also serves as a centre for education on the painful lessons learnt from aftermath of the infamous Cultural Revolution. On a higher platform, there is also a museum, the first of its kind in China, devoted to this theme. An adjoining park features a statue of Ye Jianying and more quotes from various famous personalities inscribed in stone and rocks.
In addition, there are many more areas to explore, including a lake, a temple with 900-year history, pavilions, rock carvings, etc.
