Yueyang, Hunan, China
Yueyang, known as Baling in ancient times, also known as Yuezhou, is a prefecture-level city in Hunan Province, the second largest economy, the first batch of open cities along the Yangtze River under the State Council, an important regional center city in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, a large city in Hunan Province, and a free trade zone in Hunan. The city was founded in 505 B.C. and was named after the original county seat, which was located south of the Tian Yue Mfu Mountain, a city with a long history of more than 2,500 years. It is located in the northeastern part of Hunan Province, with the Yangtze River to the north, the four waters of Sanxiang to the south, and the Dongting embrace, with an administrative area of 14,858 square kilometers. According to the seventh census, Yueyang has a resident population of 505,922.
Yueyang has extremely convenient transportation, with the Yangtze River, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Hoji Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway, Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, Hang-Rui Expressway and other national transportation arteries interwoven into a network in the city. Yueyang is the only international trade port city in Hunan, and also a famous port city in China. The Chenglingji Port is connected to the river and the sea, and there is the Chenglingji Comprehensive Free Trade Zone.With the official opening of Yueyang Sanhe Airport on December 26, 2018, the city has formed a four-in-one comprehensive transportation pattern of water, land, air and railway. In 2020, Yueyang will achieve a gross regional product of 4001.55 billion yuan.
Yueyang is a city of profound humanity and beautiful scenery, combining famous mountains, water, buildings, celebrities and literature, and is one of the important origins of Chinese culture and a famous tourist destination at home and abroad. In 2015, Yueyang was awarded the title of National Civilized City, and in 2019, Yueyang was ranked 37th among the top 100 prefecture-level cities in China. In July 2020, Yueyang city was confirmed as a national sanitary city by the National Council for Love and Health.

Driving in downtown Yiyang is kind of special experience. Just like driving from modern to ancient, from developed city to old traditional town.
Yiyang, northern Hunan Province, southeast-central China.
The city is situated approximately 47 miles northwest of Changsha on the Zi River, to the south of Dongting Lake, on the main highway from Changsha to Changde farther to the northwest.
An ancient county, it was established in the 2nd century BC.
Its seat was originally sited northeast of the present city, but it moved in Tang (618–907) times.
From 589 it was a county subordinate to Changsha.
Yiyang traditionally has been a collecting center for agricultural and other products from the Zi River basin, and, until the latter part of the 20th century, most of its population engaged in the transport of timber, coal, mineral ores, and grain.
A long-established handicraft tradition was mostly based on local wood and bamboo.
More recently, Yiyang has also developed industrially, with operations that produce linen fabrics, paper, and processed foods and mine antimony.
