ಮಾಗೋಡು ಜಲಪಾತ
ಮಾಗೋಡು ಜಲಪಾತವು ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ (ಉತ್ತರ ಕೆನರಾ) ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ, ಯಲ್ಲಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಬೇಡ್ತಿ ನದಿಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಜಲಪಾತವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಬೇಡ್ತಿ ನದಿಯು ಸುಮಾರು 200 ಮೀಟರ್ (660 ಅಡಿ) ಎತ್ತರದಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಹಂತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುತ್ತದೆ, ಇದನ್ನು ನಾವು ಮಾಗೋಡು ಜಲಪಾತ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತೇವೆ.
ಈ ಜಲಪಾತವನ್ನು ವಿವಿಧ ವ್ಯೂ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್‌ಗಳಿಂದ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಹುದು, ಬಹು ವ್ಯೂ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರಿಗೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಕೋನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ಜಲಪಾತವನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಧುಮ್ಮಿಕ್ಕುವ ನೀರಿನ ಘರ್ಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಂದರವಾದ ನೋಟವು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ರಜಾದಿನದ ತಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿಗಳು ಎದುರಾದವು.
ಇದು ಉತ್ತಮ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ನೀವು ಜಲಪಾತಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ, ನೀವು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಈ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಜಲಪಾತಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಬೇಕು.

ಬೇಡ್ತಿ ನದಿಯನ್ನು ಗಂಗವಲ್ಲಿ ನದಿ ಎಂದೂ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದು ಧಾರವಾಡದ (ಸೋಮೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಹತ್ತಿರ) ಶಾಲ್ಮಲವಾಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿದು ಅರಬ್ಬಿ ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ಸೇರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಈ ನದಿಯು ಧಾರವಾಡ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ನದಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಟ್ಟವಾದ ನಿತ್ಯಹರಿದ್ವರ್ಣ ಕಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.

Magod Falls
Magod Falls is a popular waterfall in Uttar Kannada (North Canara) district, in Yellapur taluk, on river Bedti.
The river Bedti falls from a height of nearly 200 metres (660 ft) in two steps that we know as Magod Falls.
This waterfall can be viewed from different view points, multiple view point will help visitors to see magnificent waterfall in different angles. The roar of gushing water and a beautiful view makes top holiday destination. On the way came across a beautiful birds and wildlife.
It also offers great photographic opportunities. If you love waterfalls, you should definitely visit this gorgeous waterfall.

Bedthi River also called Gangavalli River. The originates from the Western Ghats the south of Dharwad (Near Someshwara temple) as Shalmala and flows in the west direction to meet the Arabian sea.
The river flows through Dharwad and Uttar Kannada districts. The river has dense evergreen and semi-evergreen forests along its path.

Devakar falls / kanoor falls
Most popularly know as devakar falls it one of the hidden and less explode waterfalls in Karnataka it is located 100 km from Hubli city and 30 km from yellapur its very difficult to find the way to waterfalls because of no proper road to falls but local people will guide the route map
When u step into the falls u will be surprised after seeing this hidden gem.
Carry your essentials and food along as this falls is deep into the forest and you wont find any houses or shops for at least 10 km .
It is a must visit place especially during monsoon. This place can easily reached from Bangalore(460 km approx).

Key information with regard to this tour ie journey from Yellapur to Murudeshwar
Vibhuti falls - our first halt was at Vibhuti falls, you have to walk 1 km to reach this falls, nice place but you can’t go near the falls, you have to look at it from distance.
Yaana caves - Though the distance from Vibhuti falls to Yaana caves is only 8 km but it took us 40 min to reach there, as the road was not good. You have to walk half a km to reach Yaana caves from the parking lot. Caves are really beautiful, if you are at yellapur and following the same route, then you will have to put yaana parking lot in Google maps to reach this location and follow the route we followed.
Mirjan fort - This fort comes just before Kumta , you just need to take a diversion for half a km to visit this fort, if you are travelling on the same route, you can visit this fort.
Pandurang restaurant - Kumta - We went on to have our lunch at this restaurant - nice food, we had thali at this place, it costed us Rs 95 per person.
Kumta handicrafts - Mahalasa handicrafts is an old shop in Kumta, though there are many other shops in Kumta where you can see and buy traditional handicrafts.
Keremane shabhu Hegde Rashtriya Natyosava - They started this venture about 88 years back and they promote Yakshagana across various regions of coastal karnataka, they have a Gurukul as well. It was a lovely experience to meet the owner of this institute
Gunvanthe restaurant - This small eatery is at a walking distance from the above mentioned Keremane institute., Thuppa dosa of this mall eatery is famous.
Idagunji MahaGanapthi temple - This temple is about 20 kms short of Murudeshwar. It was really a great experience to visit this temple, you will do darshan of Lord Ganapathi in standing position at this temple.
Night stay at Murudeshwar - we stayed at hotel RNS residency at Murudeshwar, nice hotel, tariff on double occupancy sea facing room rs 3000.

Jenukallu Gudda is a viewpoint in the Western Ghat, which offers a panoramic view of the hills packed one behind the other. 'Jenu' means 'Honey', 'Kallu' means 'stone' and 'Gudda' means 'hill'.
Jenukallu Gudda is located 17 km from Yellapur. The Bedti River from Magod falls cuts across the green hills and bounces all the way to join the Arabian Sea beyond the hills. The breathtaking view of the valley is worth a visit and during sunset the change in the scene is truly magical. There are three hills here, which are at a very high altitude. They are Jenukallu Gudda, Kodekallu Gudda and Balekallu Gudda. The highest hill is the Balekallu Gudda.

Sathodi Falls is a waterfall in India that is formed by several unnamed streams near Kallaramane Ghat, Uttara Kannada District, near Yellapur, Karnataka, and 26 km from Yellapur. It is about 15 metres (49.2 feet) tall. The stream then flows into the backwaters of the Kodasalli Dam, into the Kali River.

Day 1: MAGOD FALLS, YELLAPURA, UTTARA KANNADA RIDE
- Description:
Many rivers leap, jump, bounce and fall into deep gorges from the exotic hills of western ghats. One of them is River Bedti taking a two cascaded leap of 650 feet forming Mighty Magod or Magodu Falls. This place is a absolute beauty in monsoon with Bedti river flowing in full glory in the midst of thick western ghats. Magod Falls looks like all covered by green carpet and cappuccino coffee flowing with full force churning froth till the pool. I had visited it on the right time and was lucky to see the falls at its peak.
One cannot get close to the falls as you can only see it from the view point placed in opposite side of the hill. Even here tourists can reach the bottom of the waterfalls. However, it is little risky during the monsoon season. Hence, it is better to enjoy this falls from the viewpoints.There are three view points. While the first point is easily accessible for all, while two and three requires a bit of climbing.

- How to Reach:
Magod falls is 18 kms from Yellapur town and 3km from the village called Magod. Autos or the private vehicles are the only transport from Yellapur to reach Magod Falls. After travelling for around 1.5-2 kms form Yellapur town towards Karwar-Yellapur highway take a left turn as shown in the end part of above video to reach Magod Falls.
There is another adventurous route while traveling from Sirsi as shown in the vlog.
Entry fee is Rs 10 per person.
Distance from Sirsi is 55 kms and from Bangalore is 450 kms.
- Stay - Online hotel booking web sites will not show much options. So take help of google map or Just dial to search hotel around Yellapur. Few hotels at Yellapur are: Sankalpa Nature Tourist Paradise & lodge, Hotel Sambhram lodge, Highway Hotel, Banana County Resort etc.
