What Is the Golden Ring of Russia? Moscow - Sergiev Posad. How to Get Without a Guide
Golden Ring is a set of ancient Russian cities north-east of Moscow which form a circle if you look at them on the map. In this video I would like to tell you about the golden Ring of Russia. I think that many of you have heard this name, but not many people know what it means. And some practical info for tourists:)
To get to Sergiev Posad by train: Trains start almost every 30 minutes from Moscow's Yaroslavskiy Rail Terminal (Ярославский вокзал) to Sergiev Posad. Yaroslavskiy Rail Terminal is near metro station Komsomolskaya (Комсомольская) (red line).
Сheck the train schedule here
Train schedule 2016
A one-way ticket to Sergiev Posad is 164 rubles.
If to go by bus - Bus 388 is available at VDNKh (ВДНХ) every 15 minutes. However, be aware of jams:)
To get to Sergiev Posad by car take Yaroslavskoye highway - distance is 70km (40 miles).
Golden Ring is a set of ancient Russian cities north-east of Moscow which form a circle if you look at them on the map. The author of the term Golden Ring is Yuri Bychkov. He was a soviet journalist and a writer. And the idea of the circular route belongs to him. In the middle of the last century (to be more particular in 1967) he published in the newspaper Soviet Culture a few articles on the ancient cities under the general heading of Golden Ring. Later this name was given to the now world-famous tourist route.
The 'classical' route starts from Moscow goes through Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalesskiy, Rostov Velikiy, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Suzdal and Vladimir. All the cities and towns are located relatively close to each other, so from one place you can reach to another and make a circle. So you start from Moscow and come back to Moscow.
Moscow and St Petersburg are, of course, the main attractions in Russia, but if you really want to see a true Russian life and how the most of country lives, make an effort to travel to at least couple of the cities in the Golden Ring. You can see old architecture and churches which were built prior to Mongol rule.
If you only have 1 day off, then I suggest you go to Sergiev Posad. If you have a few free days then I would recommend you to go to Pereslavl-Zalesskiy, Vladimir, and Suzdal'

Would You Ride This Russian Train?
🇷🇺 You can take trains from Moscow to all kinds of romantic sounding places; St Petersburg, Vladivostok, Beijing...Well I didn't do that, instead I chose to go to Saransk the capitol of the backwater republic of Mordovia. Yeah I have no idea why I did it either.

Moscow's Railway Stations:
In Moscow there are nine railway stations which are named after the main destination they serve (or historically served). Most of the stations are terminal stations and Moscow is the end of the line. Only two stations are transit stations: Belorussky and Kursky. Long distance trains and suburban trains (elektrichki) leave from all the stations, with the exception of Savyolovsky Railway Station which only has suburban trains. From Moscow you can get to practically every city in Russia by train and even to cities in China, Belarus, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Switzerland, Ukraine, and some other countries in Europe and Asia. For more information about Russian trains in general, including information on buying tickets, see our special section on Russian trains.
GENERAL INFORMATION
All nine stations are located next to metro stations. Therefore if you need to go from one station to another, it is best to use the metro as it is cheaper and will avoid any traffic jams. However if you still prefer to take a taxi you can easily find them outside the station - all official taxis are yellow and have a meter. It is not recommended to use private taxis at stations as the price for foreigners will be especially high (usually double the standard rate).
THREE STATIONS SQUARE
Leningradsky, Yaroslavsky and Kazansky Railway Stations are all located together on Komsomolskaya Ploschad which is served by Komsomolskaya metro station. People often call this square Ploschad Tryok Vokzalov (Three Stations Square). You should always give yourself plenty of time to find your train as it can sometimes be difficult, and this is especially true if you are leaving from one of the three stations on Komsomolskaya Ploschad. You can usually get on your train 30 minutes before it is due to leave.
Yaroslavsky Railway Station - Ярославский вокзал:
Moscow's Yaroslavsky Railway Station is another of the three railway stations located on Komsomolskaya Ploschad. It is next to the Komsomolskaya metro station on the brown circle line and the red line. Out of all of Moscow's railway stations, Yaroslavsky Railway Station serves the most destinations. Tickets for trains arriving or leaving from Yaroslavsky Railway Station state the name of the station as 'МОСКВА ЯР' ('Moskva Yar'). Yaroslavsky Railway Station connects Moscow with northern Russia, the Urals, Siberia, the Far East and the capitals of China and Mongolia. Suburban trains from Yaroslavsky Railway Station head towards Aleksandrov.

Whether you're commuting through the city or visiting as a tourist, this station stands out as one of the most iconic and impressive metro stations in the world.
*An Architectural Gem Inspired by Soviet Grandeur*
Stepping into Komsomolskaya Station is like walking into a grand palace. Designed by the renowned architect Alexey Shchusev, the station was opened in 1952 and showcases the Soviet Union's aspiration for greatness and cultural prestige. The magnificent hall is adorned with stunning chandeliers, marble columns, and intricate mosaics that depict heroic moments of Russian history. It’s not just a station—it’s a monument to Soviet achievement, combining Baroque elements with Stalinist Empire style.
*Stunning Mosaics Celebrating Russian History*
One of the most remarkable features of Komsomolskaya Station is its series of beautiful mosaics on the ceiling. These mosaics celebrate key moments in Russian history, from the rise of Alexander Nevsky to the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The vibrant artwork is a tribute to Russian strength and patriotism, making every visit to the station a journey through time and culture.

Hey i'm Nitinkumar Given You Some different type of Video this time hope you like it.
Kazansky railway terminal (Russian: Каза́нский вокза́л, Kazansky vokzal) also known as Moscow Kazansky railway station (Russian: Москва́-Каза́нская, Moskva-Kazanskaya) is one of nine railway terminals in Moscow, situated on the Komsomolskaya Square, across the square from the Leningradsky and Yaroslavsky stations.
Moscow is the hub of Russia's extensive rail network. It is home to 9 railway stations. All of them are close to the metro in the central part of the city.
We recommend that you spend at least two or three days in Moscow – just enough to see the most famous sights of the city.
Kazansky station primarily serves two major railway lines radiating from Moscow: the eastbound one, to Kazan, Yekaterinburg, and points beyond (one of the routes of the Trans-Siberian Railway), and the south-east-bound one, to Ryazan. After Ryazan, the south-eastern line branches a number of times, so that trains originating from Kazansky station serve most of south-eastern Russia, Kazakhstan, and the post-Soviet Central Asian states (mostly via the Trans-Aral line). Commuter trains serving these two directions use Kazansky station as well.

Walking Moscow - Three Station Square of Kazansky, Yaroslavsky and Leningradsky Stations
Walking tour around Komsomolskaya Square (Russian: Комсомо́льская пло́щадь), known as Kalanchyovskaya (Russian: Каланчёвская площадь) before 1932, is a square in Moscow, with a blend of revivalist Tsarist and Stalinist architecture. It is referred to informally as Three Station Square (Russian: Пло́щадь трёх вокза́лов; lit. Ploshchad' tryokh vokzalov) after the three rail termini situated there: Leningradsky, Yaroslavsky, and Kazansky. These stations connect Moscow with Saint Petersburg, northwestern Russia, the Volga region, and Siberia via the Trans-Siberian Railway. Winter in Russia. Travel 4K
