黑河 黑龍江 大興安嶺 塔河 璦琿歷史博物館 鄂倫春民俗文化園區 俄羅斯風情園影視基地
于明朝永樂年間，建城的璦琿是中俄璦琿條約的簽訂地，當時為應付元朝殘餘勢力的反撲，在黑龍江左岸，精奇裏江與黑龍江匯合處的下游，即今天的俄羅斯境內維笑勒伊村一帶。
此地也是清代黑龍江將軍衙門駐地，現在的歷史陳列館、魁星閣、古城遺跡等記錄的是中華民族抵抗沙俄侵略的屈辱歷史。
大興安嶺位於中國最北部邊陲，在北緯50度的地平線上，猶如一塊碧綠色的翡翠，被譽為『僅存的一塊淨土』，素有『綠色寶庫』之美稱。主要樹種為樟子松、白樺等珍貴樹木，是中國重要的林業基地之一。
Train 4192/4193 to Suifenhe! (HD)
DF4D 0480 pulls train 4192/4193 over the Binzhou line in Inner Mongolia. This train actually goes from one Russian border (Manzhouli) to the other (Suifenhe, near Vladivolstok), straight through China. The distance between these places is 1483 km, and the train needs 25 hours and 5 minutes to cover this distance... :-) (Near Boketu, Hulunbeier, Inner Mongolia, China, 25/09/2011)

Another heavy coal train is worked up the grade towards Xing'anling on the Binzhou line in Inner Mongolia, by a HXN5 in front and a DF4B at the rear end of the consist... :-) The DF4B sounds really great here, by the way... :-p And the landscape is really gorgeous here in my opinion... :-) Certainly in September! :-) (Xing'anling, Boketu, Hulunbei'er, Inner Mongolia, China, 16/09/2012)
Rush hour on the Binzhou line... :-) (HD)
Traffic at the summit of the Binzhou line (Xinganling) is always much busier before noon than in the afternoon, with a continuous parade of heavy Eastbound freight trains, almost all of them banked by one or two DF4B's for the final kilometres to the summit tunnel! :-) (Some of these trains weigh up to 6000 tons!) On this sunny 22nd of March it's once again like that, and I could enjoy a heavy uphill freight train about every 15 minutes! :-) Here we first see passenger train K277 (Huhehaote - Manzhouli) rolling down the grade, before the heavy coal train finally appears, pulled by a HXN5 and pushed by two DF4B's... Before the train has fully passed, the two helper engines of a previous Eastbound freight roll by already, on the way to assist a next one! :-) After I switched off the camcorder, I could already hear the five chime horn of the HXN5 of the next uphill freight echoing in the remote mountains of Inner Mongolia... ;-) (Xinganling, Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, China, 22/03/2012)

HXN5 with a mixed freight train... (HD)
A HXN5 assisted by a DF4B fights the grade just West of Xinganling with a mixed freight. It's still very early in the morning, so the sun is still very low, but because of this you can clearly see the crew of the HXN5 using the sanders almost continuously! :-) Unfortunately, the DF4B wasn't working any more when it passed me... The banker gets off at Xinganling, and that station is just behind me here... (Xinganling, Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, China, 22/03/2012)
