Welcome to our video on the top things to do in Xiamen, China. Xiamen is a beautiful coastal city in Fujian Province, known for its pleasant climate, stunning beaches, and rich cultural heritage. Here are some of the best places to visit and activities to enjoy in Xiamen.
Start your visit with a trip to Gulangyu Island, just a short ferry ride from Xiamen. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for its colonial-era architecture, charming pedestrian streets, and lush gardens.
Visit Nanputuo Temple, one of the most important Buddhist temples in Xiamen. The temple complex is set against the backdrop of a mountain and includes beautiful halls, pagodas, and a serene lake.

HIDDEN PARADISE IN CHINA | Xiamen & Gulangyu (4K)
My most epic adventure yet.
I explored Xiamen, Gulangyu and Dongshandao, opposite the Chinese province of Taiwan, with some Chinese friends.
Xiamen, in Fujian province in the East China Sea, is a 4 million population island with British and European colonial roots. This place is now China's 8th biggest container port, and is home to some of China's most beautiful beaches.
Gulangyu, a paradise hidden away, accessible only by ferry and where all vehicles are banned. I explored the winding alleyways and beautiful beaches, and ate as much local, freshly-caught oysters as I could.
Dongshandao, we rented electric scooters/e-bikes, rode them down the East coast of China, stopping by at secluded, secret beaches, and then ate at the most idyllic spot I've encountered so far in China. A hidden paradise - night market on the sea-side, China's answer to Greece's Santorini.
