Top 10 National Parks!

UPDATE: We now have been to Alaska and visited 2 national parks (Kenai Fjords and Denali). Where would they fall on the list? Kenai is amazing and you can see lots of ocean life on a clear day (our day was rainy on the ferry) as well as a couple of tidewater glaciers. A great experience and it would probably fall somewhere near the end of our list (maybe #7 or 8), due to cost and limited accessibility to park features. Denali would also be near the bottom of the list (maybe #9), though it has amazing wilderness and we saw 2 bull moose fighting, it takes a really long time to get to it, has one main road that eventually requires riding a long bus tour, and the main attraction (mount Denali) is only visible 30% of the time (we never saw it). Having said all of this, if they ever turn Prince William Sound into a national park, that would be near the top of our list. It was me and my wife's favorite part of the Alaska trip: Lots of glaciers, lots of wildlife, lots of pristine forest and islands, just beautiful...
...This list covers the Western USA and features photos in 4k. Please feel free to ask us any questions you have about the parks. If you have trouble viewing the video try using a computer or tablet instead of a mobile phone. Hopefully Youtube will fix the issue soon. :)

Update: Yellowstone lake is not the highest fresh water lake in the USA, it's the largest lake at high elevation in the USA (over 7000 ft.). I knew better, but rushed the script and voice over, so it made it into the video (oops).

Cameras used: Panasonic GH4, GF6, Canon T2i, Point-and-shoots, GoPro 4 Silver, Samsung and Apple phones.

Yosemite National Park Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia

Yosemite – an American story unlike any other. Follow us through the national park from its high country to its waterfalls, its towering sequoia groves to its valley meadows.

When ready, browse vacation packages to Yosemite National Park:

#YosemiteNationalPark sits on the western slopes of California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains. Most visitors spend their #vacation in Yosemite Valley, which despite being only 7 miles long and 1 mile wide, packs in more jaw-dropping scenery than just about any other place on Earth.

#Visit Tunnel View and stand before a panorama that’s reduced generations of visitors to silence. The Yosemite Valley ring road follows the banks of the Merced River, which shifts in character as it thunders from the valley walls, before gently winding across the valley floor. The ring road is dotted with trailheads that lead to 800 miles of hiking trails.

Drive along Tioga Road, one of the USA’s most scenic highways. Fill your lungs with alpine air at Olmsted Point, refresh yourself by the waters of Tenaya Lake, then spend the day at Tuolumne Meadow, the traditional summer hunting grounds of the Ahwaneechee.

For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

Summer is the time most people probably think about booking their Yosemite trip. That’s because there are so many things to do in Yosemite National Park in the warmer months. Camp under the stars, hike the trails, climb rock walls, book a fly fishing charter, or go bird watching. Almost all the bodies of water in Yosemite are swimmable, so don’t forget to bring your bathing suit. Don’t forget there’s also a lot of history to explore in the park.

There are museums detailing everything from early Native American inhabitation to the lives of later miners, loggers, and pioneers. If you’re keen to see waterfalls, head to Yosemite in the spring. This is when the snowmelt fills the rivers, causing the waterfalls to thunder down from their great heights. Things to do in Yosemite National Park in the winter include pretty much every winter sport you can think of except sledding—it’s banned! Pack your skis, snowboard, or snowshoes and head to Badger Pass Ski Area for chilly season fun. If there’s a lot of snowfall and you have little ones, take them to the snow play area at Crane Flat Campground. This is just a sample of the things to do in Yosemite National Park for local and international visitors.

There is countless more day to multi-day hikes, wilderness adventures, and marvels of American flora and fauna in the area. So if you want to build your Yosemite National Park bucket list, watch on for more inspiration. If you liked this video, give it a thumbs up and share it.
