Baradari, located near the local town at a distance of 26 km from the district headquarters, was built between 1775 and 1795 by the then Nawab of Awadh, Asufaddaula. It was named Jamshedbagh. It was spread over a hundred acres. For its protection, a 20-feet high and about four-feet wide boundary wall was built. In order to protect the boundary wall, such diversions were made, Through which the soldiers kept an eye on the outer areas. If needed, he could easily deal with external attacks while keeping himself safe. The said area was an impregnable fort. Many buildings were built inside the boundary wall. In which courts etc. were established. The surrounding area was covered with dense trees. It had fruit trees. Nawab Asuf-Daulah used to come to this safe place to spend his holidays. From here he used to run the state for a few days. According to legends, once when the Nawab was coming to spend his holidays with his wife, suddenly his health deteriorated. He died due to lack of proper treatment. Begum was buried near Baradari itself. The remains of Begum's tomb still exist today. After the death of Begum, Nawab Asufaddaula was disillusioned from here. He stopped coming here. After Asuf-ud-Daulah, when Amjad Ali Shah took over the power of Awadh. He gave it to his minister Amin-ud-Daula Munshi Bakr Ali Khan between 1837 and 1842. It is said that the buildings were being constructed here that due to the invasion of the British, the construction remained incomplete.
The main attraction here is the unique specimen of architecture and the stairs of the building descending into the Kodar lake. The smell of Kevada in the Kodar lake is the gift of Nawab Asufaddaula. Now the gardens around it have been destroyed. Most of the boundary wall has collapsed. People took out the timber in Baradari.
जनपद मुख्यालय से 26 किलोमीटर दूरी पर स्थानीय कस्बे के पास स्थित बारादरी का निर्माण 1775 से 1795 के मध्य तत्कालीन अवध के नवाब आसुफद्दौला ने कराया था। इसका नाम जमशेदबाग रखा गया। यह लगभग सौ एकड़ में फैली थी। इसकी सुरक्षा के लिए 20 फुट ऊंची व लगभग चार फुट चौड़ी चहारदीवारी बनाई गई थी। चहारदीवारी की सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से ऐसे मोढे़ बनाए गए थे, जिसके जरिए सैनिक बाहरी क्षेत्रों पर नजर रखते थे। जरूरत पड़ने पर स्वयं को सुरक्षित रखते हुए बाहरी आक्रमण से आसानी से निपट लेते। उक्त क्षेत्र अभेद दुर्ग था। चहारदीवारी के अंदर अनेक भवन बने थे जिसमें न्यायालय आदि स्थापित थे। आसपास का क्षेत्र घने पेड़ों से आच्छादित था। इसमें फलदार वृक्ष थे। नवाब आसुफद्दौला छुट्टियां बिताने इसी सुरक्षित स्थान पर आते थे। यहीं से कुछ दिन तक राज्य का संचालन करते थे। जनश्रुतियों के अनुसार एक बार जब नवाब अपनी बेगम के साथ छुट्टियां बिताने आए हुए थे, अचानक उनकी बेगम की तबियत बिगड़ गई। उचित इलाज के अभाव में उनकी मृत्यु हो गई। बेगम को बारादरी के ही निकट दफनाया गया। बेगम के मकबरे का अवशेष आज भी विद्यमान है। बेगम की मौत के बाद नवाब आसुफद्दौला का यहां से मोहभंग हो गया। उसने यहां आना छोड़ दिया। आसुफद्दौला के बाद जब अमजद अली शाह ने अवध की सत्ता संभाली। उसने 1837 से 1842 के मध्य में इसे अपने मंत्री अमीन-उद-दौला मुंशी बकर अली खां को दे दिया। बताया जाता है कि यहां भवनों का निर्माण हो ही रहा था कि अंग्रेजों के आक्रमण के चलते निर्माण अधूरा रह गया। यहां का मुख्य आकर्षण वास्तुकला का बेजोड़ नमूना व कोड़र झील में उतरती भवन की सीढि़या हैं। कोड़र झील में केवड़े की महक नवाब आसुफद्दौला की देन है। अब इसके आसपास के बाग नष्ट हो चुके हैं। अधिकांश चहारदीवारी ढह चुकी है। बारादरी में लगी इमारती लकड़ियां लोग निकाल ले गए।

Aonla is a city and a municipal board in Bareilly district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Aonla is located at 28.28°N 79.15°E. It has an average elevation of 237 metres (807 feet). As of 2001 India census, Aonla had a population of 45,263. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Aonla has an average literacy rate of 79%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 91% of the males and 69% of females literate. 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
