Places we visited.
Hotel: We stayed at Hotel Central, beautiful old building on the market square. Good room, friendly people and amazing breakfast!
Sweets:
Tum Tum Old Dutch Candystore - my favorite since I was a little kid
Zammateo - where you get some of the best Italian icecream you ever tasted
Bossche Bol - Jan de Groot. Duh, he is famous! The sweets in his shop seriously sell out, sometimes you have to order them. But they got them on many terraces.
Going for lunch: Korte Putstraat. Cute little street, also great at night!
St. Janskathedraal - amazing by day and beautiful by night.
NOTE 2016 is the year of Jeroen Bosch (Jeroen Boschjaar) since he died 500 years ago. Some special events are happening this period :)

What Happened at Concentration Camp Vught, in the Netherlands, during World War II ?
In 1943, the amount of opponents to the Nazi regime grew so much, that the Germans felt compelled to imprison more and more people. The Nazi administration decided to create a new camp near Den Bosch (Herzogenbusch in German). This camp saw about 32000 prisoners, mostly Dutch, of which abut 750 died on site, and many other probably in the other camps to which they were transported.
On its site, there is today a comprehensive museum which documents its history.

The village of Westerbork is located in the northern province of Drenthe in the Netherlands. This is a small village and is renowned for the Westerbork camp. This Westerbork camp was an intermediate concentration camp where the Nazi's held thousands of Jews and Sinti/Roma people as captives during the world war 2 between 1940-1945. In addition to the Westerbork camp, the village Westerbork has also many attractions to visit, for example the paper art museum (museum van papierknipkunst) and the St Stephans church (a gothic style church) dating back to the early 15th century.
During our visit to Westerbork, we saw the st Stephens church from outside and also visited the paper art museum and took a detailed look. Paper art museum is a place where you can see magnificent works of different artists using paper. Namely shadow paper art, insect paper art and portrait paper arts are popular in this museum.

Den Bosch or 's-Hertogenbosch is capital of North Brabant province. A very beautiful and old city. People from this city are very proud of their city, province and themself it is something very special you can easily recognize it, it is something beautiful. I can not explain it you just should visit this city. For winter carnival people in this city have their own culture and traditions. They mostly wear the same clothes what you can see in images. You know I love traditions it is also a tradition in Dutch people I looked up a lot in the books and internet but couldn't find a reason for this same clothes. You can see very obviously differences between winter carnival here in Den Bosch and Maastricht carnival. I have more videos about Den Bosch Carnival that I am going to show you later but next week Eindhoven carnival.

Bosch 500: A Weekend in Den Bosch, Netherlands
Thanks to KLM for a weekend in 's-Hertogenbosch during the Bosch500 event, celebrating the life of artist Jheronimus Bosch 500 years after his death. A beautiful city to spend a weekend and we were lucky enough to do lots of interesting things most of which are in this short film...
We stayed at the beautiful The Duke Hotel
We ate at lots of delicious restaurants including the full experience at Noble Restaurant
And we had a couple of amazing tour guides who sadly I cannot link but they came through the Bosch 500 event and via the tourist office in the market square and were worth their weight in gold.
