It is the Alps that fascinates most of the visitors but also the very well preserved villages. Although Switzerland is quite small, depending on the region, the villages and towns may look very different. In this video, the 10 most beautiful villages from allover the country will be presented in detail. While there may be a few that you might have heard of, there will be quite some surprises. Gruyères is THE place to experience the medieval vibes in Switzerland. The castle, the museums and furthermore the foodie world of Gruyères are really exciting to experience, do not forget to try fondue, Gruyère cheese and double cream! Zermatt is the most popular village on this list. Visit the many panoramas over the Swiss Alps, see the Matterhorn or simply explore the village of Zermatt itself! Discover the many beautiful traditional wooden houses scattered around this Swiss village! Visit what used to be the smallest municipality of Switzerland: Corippo. Corippo is located in the Valle Verzasca in Ticino. It's a wonderful village full of stone houses and very interesting: ONLY 12 people live in there! Surely, it's not crowded there. Saint-Ursanne is another medieval village; the town that could be in a fairytale. Saint-Ursanne is built along the river doubs and charms with its many medieval houses and wonderful abbey. Guarda - the town of Schellenursli - in the lower Engadin is located in the Rumantsch speaking region of Switzerland. It's far away the urban centres and very quiet. Best to visit during Summer or on Chalandamarz! Grimentz is THE stereotypical village of Switzerland. It's located up in the Swiss Alps and charms with its many traditional wooden houses. The houses are all decorated with red flowers; cheesy and alluring! Lauterbrunnen is another touristy favorite. The village is small but it's located in the Valley of 72 Waterfalls! Enjoy the scenery with its many waterfalls and greens! Do not forget to go up to Wengen and the Jungfraujoch! Epesses is located in Switzerland's wine region at lake Geneva! It's a wonderful village in the middle of the vineyards and definitely offers you enough viewpoints over the wine terraces, lake Geneva and the Swiss Alps. Stein am Rhein is also a very medieval and cultural village. The old town is perfectly preserved and charms with its many painted houses. Spectacular is the No e Wili play that is held on a 10-25 years base. Enjoy swimming in the river Rhine or dining at the Castle Hohenklingen. MORCOTE is the most beautiful Swiss village on this Top 10 list! It's located at Lake Lugano and charms with its appearance of being built at the hill. Stunning is the church Maria del Sasso, the wonder garden in the Parco Scherrer and furthermore the many viewpoints on the hill. Morcote is by the way considered not very touristy. Bird Park in France to Visit | Villars-les-dombes - La Plus Grande Réserve Ornithologique De France
In this video, you will see an amazing park which is full of so many beautiful and unique birds. Some of these are very rare and you would not normally see them. You will see birds that like both the air and being on water. Everyone loves flamingos, if you’re a fan of flamingos, you will be amazed by how many there are in one place. This park is a dream come true for all nature lovers and bird watchers.
The natural land and water in this area has been there since the 13th century. The rosapelikan are a really unique bird because of how long their beaks are. If it wasn’t for these parks and nature reserves, many of these lovely birds would have become extinct or exist in low numbers. It is so nice to know that more than 500 baby birds are born here each year, and they are safe and protected from danger.
The Bird Park in Villars-les-Dombes (Parc des oiseaux Villars-les-Dombes) is located in approximately 40 km from Lyon, and is considered to be the largest bird sanctuary in France.
The park’s own “collection” numbers around 3,000 birds of 300 species from different continents, making it one of the best in the world in terms of the diversity of its birds.
What’s good about this park is that it recreates the natural environments of birds and there are no cages.
The Bird Park in Villars-les-Dombes was opened in 1970 and since then it welcomes on average 250,000 visitors per year. In 2020, the Parc celebrated its 50th birthday.

Au cœur des Alpes vaudoises, les stations de Villars, Gryon et Les Diablerets sont reliées entre elles et forment un domaine skiable de plus de 130 km de pistes. Les amateurs de tous niveaux y trouvent leur bonheur. Au sommet de Glacier 3000, point culminant du canton de Vaud, les conditions d'enneigement sont idéales de novembre à mai.
Les enfants et débutants commencent leur apprentissage en toute confiance grâce aux espaces débutants qui leur sont dédiés. Les jardins des neiges de Villars, Gryon et des Diablerets sont des lieux accueillants pour les jeunes skieurs. Les professeurs diplômés des différentes écoles de ski vous guident dans vos premières glisses ! Adoptez les meilleures techniques et faites de ce sport un véritable plaisir!
De larges pistes, des versants ensoleillés sur un domaine allant de 1200 mètres à 3000 mètres d’altitude, ce terrain de jeux offre de nombreuses possibilités.
Du côté des Diablerets, élancez-vous sur la piste Willy Favre. Cette piste accueille régulièrement des compétitions internationales dont les épreuves des Jeux Olympiques de la Jeunesse en 2020. Plusieurs snowparks agrémentent vos journées sur notre domaine skiable.
Le Glacier 3000 propose les pistes les plus élevées des Alpes vaudoises. Les skieurs chevronnés s’élancent sur la Combe d’Audon, l’une des pistes noires les plus ardues de la région ou la Red Run, longue de plus de 8 kilomètres avec un dénivelé exceptionnel de plus de 1700 mètres. Le snowpark donne des ailes aux freestylers.
Les plaisirs de la neige sont accessibles aux skieurs ainsi qu'aux non-skieurs ! Facilement abordables, les terrasses des restaurants d’altitude accueillent également les piétons grâce aux trains et télécabines qui relient les stations aux pistes
