Best flyover by the U.S. NAVY Blue Angels USA The best IN THE WORLD PERIOD !!!!!!!! Visticun Peru

The Blue Angels were originally formed in April 1946 as the Navy Flight Exhibition Team.[23] They changed their name to the Blue Angels after seeing an advertisement for the New York nightclub The Blue Angel, also known as The Blue Angel Supper Club, in the New Yorker Magazine.[24][25] The team was first introduced as the Blue Angels during an air show in July 1946.[26]

The first Blue Angels demonstration aircraft wore navy blue (nearly black) with gold lettering. The current shades of blue and yellow were adopted when the first demonstration aircraft were transitioned from the Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat to the Grumman F8F-1 Bearcat in August 1946; the aircraft wore an all-yellow scheme with blue markings during the 1949 show season.[27]

The original Blue Angels insignia or crest was designed in 1949, by Lt. Commander Raleigh Dusty Rhodes, their third Flight Leader and first jet fighter leader. The aircraft silhouettes change as the team changes aircraft.[1]

The Blue Angels transitioned from propeller-driven aircraft to blue and gold jet aircraft (Grumman F9F-2B Panther) in August 1949.[28]

The Blue Angels demonstration teams began wearing leather jackets and special colored flight suits with the Blue Angels insignia, in 1952. In 1953, they began wearing gold colored flight suits for the first show of the season and or to commemorate milestones for the flight demonstration squadron.[29][30][31][32]

The Navy Flight Exhibition Team was reorganized and commissioned the United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron on 10 December 1973.[33]

2020–present

F/A-18 Super Hornets conducting Pitch up Break at NAS Pensacola in late 2020
In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, the Blue Angels flew over multiple US cities as a tribute to healthcare and front line workers.[88]

The Blues officially transitioned to Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornets on 4 November 2020.[89][90]

The U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron demonstrates skill on such a high level it seems almost supernatural. To say that such aerobatics requires precision and attention to detail is an understatement of laughable proportions.

The mission of the Blue Angels is to showcase the teamwork and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps through flight demonstrations and community outreach while inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country.

Natchez - Vidalia Bridge crossing the Mississippi River

Crossing the Mississippi river on the Natchez-Vidalia bridge on my way into Louisiana. This bridge is beautiful and traffic was light.

The Natchez–Vidalia Bridge are two twin cantilever bridges carrying U.S. Route 84, and 425 across the Mississippi River between Vidalia, Louisiana and Natchez, Mississippi. It is the tallest bridge in Mississippi (although the demolished Benjamin G. Humphreys Bridge connecting Mississippi with Arkansas was taller by 5 feet, its main spans were located entirely within Arkansas).

The original bridge, built by the Works Progress Administration and completed in October 1940, has only two 8-foot lanes and lacks shoulders, and now carries all westbound traffic. The newer, eastbound bridge completed in 1988, has 11-foot lanes with inside and outside shoulders. Eastbound traffic is heavier, as that crossing goes into Natchez and connects with US Highway 61, where travelers can continue north to Vicksburg and south to Baton Rouge. - Wikipedia
