Valle de Bravo, is a beautiful pueblo magico located in the state of Mexico, this charming colonial town is known for its outdoor activities, and rich cultural heritage. Sitting beside the beautiful Lake Aandaro and Surrounded by lush green forests and majestic mountains, we spent 2 nights in Valle de Bravo where we went on a short hike to Mirador la Pena and explored around town.

Valle de Bravo is a town on Lake Avándaro, west of Mexico City. The lake, ringed by wooded mountains, is a center for water sports. The town’s cobbled streets are lined with well-preserved colonial buildings. Anchoring the Plaza de la Independencia is the 17th-century San Francisco de Asis Church. The Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve, a habitat for millions of migratory butterflies, is north of town.

Paragliding in the Valle de Bravo - A Most Memorable Place
One new goal for us in 2021 was to give Mass a chance to paraglide in all the countries we visited, at least where it was possible.
Mexico has a very famous paragliding site in the Valle de Bravo, 2 hours away from Mexico City. While we were visiting Mexico I made sure we stopped there for 5 days. The rainy season had already started so he was afraid there was not going to be a good day to fly. He was wrong! They manage to fly everyday, also with big clouds in the sky!
For us it is fun to see both the landing site as well as the take off. This take off site was so steep, that it made me nervous watching however the view is absolutely stunning!!
Of course we also wandered around town, also from there you can see the paragliders flying over! Enjoy Valle de Bravo with us and stay tuned for the next video of everything else we did there 😁

Valle de Bravo, Mexico: Peña (Monolith), Waterfalls and Hike in 4K and Drone
A hike in a Pubeblo Magíco: Valle de Bravo, Mexico in 4K and with drone (DJI AIr 2s). Valle de Bravo is a so-called Pueblo Magico (Magical Town). There are quite some magic towns in Mexico and all of these have special rules about how to maintain the houses, streets and city to keep the magic alive. Next to the town is a Peña (monolith) that you can climb, including some waterfall around the city. The trip is hosted by Portami Via Travel from Querétaro, Mexico

For those who've never heard of Valle de Bravo, it is a lake town about 2 hours west of Mexico City. This is where the wealthy and famous have their second homes. We've been back and forth to Valle de Bravo for a number of years now and never tire of it. Valle de Bravo's main tourist activities take place on Lake Avandaro and is surrounded by mountains. It also boasts waterfalls, paragliding, mountain biking trails, horseback riding, and a sanctuary for migrating Monarch butterflies to name just a few. Come visit and see for yourself!
