Göteborg. Die wunderschöne Hafenstadt ist nach Stockholm die zweitgrößte Stadt Schwedens. Leckere Zimtschnecken, aufregende Ausflüge, viel Natur. Wir zeigen dir: Göteborg in 5 Minuten.
Wir beginnen unsere Tour in Haga, der eigentlichen Altstadt von Göteborg. Viele Straßen sind hier autofrei. Die alten Häuser wirken wunderschön und es ist nicht zu touristisch hier. Überall riecht es nach Zimtschnecken – typisch für Schweden.
Neben den kulinarischen Highlights gibt es auch einige historische Sehenswürdigkeiten in Göteborg. Skansen Kronan ist eine Festung aus dem 17. Jahrhundert. Von hier hat man eine tolle Aussicht auf die Stadt. Ebenso historisch sind die Saluhallen im Stadtzentrum.
In der Umgebung von Göteborg gibt es auch viel zu entdecken. Besonders schön sind die Inseln vor der Stadt. Die Dörfer der Göteborger Schären erreicht man ganz einfach mit der Fähre. Hier kann man schön spazieren.

Ljungskile is a beautiful little community along the seaside located on Sweden's Södra Bohuslän coast in West Sweden. It is just 40 min by car from Gothenburg (Göteborg in Swedish). If you like swimming in crystal clear water, enjoy boating or you are a seafood lover, then you must visit Lyckorna district in Ljungskile situated along the beautiful bay with amazing views above the sea and Islands. Strolling the beautiful promenade (strandpromenaden) along the sea is an enjoyable experience, with crystal clear water along side inviting for a dip.
The promenade also houses an amazing seafood restaurant Musselbaren with views of the sea. They serve one of the best and freshest mussels in the Bohuslän region. It is a must try experience if you love seafood, especially Mussels. Apart from the mussels, their fish and chips were also very tasty.
A little further up the hill you will find this fairy-tale like summer residence from the 19th century - Villa Sjötorp. This is where you will find the best views of the sea and islands, from the villa's garden. You can book a stay in this beautiful residence or just enjoy their restaurant, which boasts high praise.
For anyone exploring the amazing Bohuslän region on West coast of Sweden, Lungskile can serve as an excellent central location for exploring the region.
We visited Ljungskile as an unplanned summer evening trip. For us Ljungskile came across as a surprisingly interesting place to visit even for a whole day. We will definitly make a day trip to Ljungskile again in the future with a picnic basket and swimming in the inviting crystal clear water.

Trollhättan is a conurbation in Västergötland and central town in Trollhättan municipality in Västra Götaland county . A smaller part is located in the municipality of Vänersborg .
The name Trollhättan was originally only used for the Göta River catchment area . Trollhättan's conurbation today encompasses a significantly larger area that used to have other geographical names. Below is the history of the area that is today known as Trollhättan.
The name Trollhättan comes from the fall itself or possibly a small mountain found in Trollhättefallen.
The earliest names for the area: Stora Edet, Eidar, Trollhättan and Stranna

During the Middle Ages , there was a fortress on Slottsön in Göta river, which in different sources is alternately called Edsborg, Ekholm's castle or Ekeholm's castle. It was possibly built in the early 14th century and possibly demolished in the early 16th century. Slottsön lies by the strait which in old writings is called Naglum's sound, by Naglum's church ruins . In the past, the road from Västergötland to Norway passed through this strait and the castle guarded the crossing. Today, Edsborg is found as the name of the football team FC Trollhättan's home arena.
The name Edsborg indicates that the area was already called Ed . The plural form of Ed is Eiðar , as the area was called in a document from the 13th century. An ed is a passage where boats must be carried or towed. The name Eidar can be found today in the name of Trollhättan's housing stock company Eidar AB .
Another early name for the place is Stora Edet. This designation has been used to distinguish Stora Edet from the smaller edet two miles downstream: Lilla Edet , which was also a place where boats had to be towed past waterfalls.
In Västergötland, according to dialect researcher Sven Lampa and place name researcher Jöran Sahlgren , the cases were called Trolta.
The name Trollhättan itself was originally used only for the fall area. It is first covered in the name Trollhetta qvarn , which is mentioned in 1413 in Eric of Pomerania's tax book.
What is today Trollhättan's city center was formerly called Stranna and was part of Gärdhem's parish .
