Wonderful Hostal Chanely - Boca De Camarioca Cuba
My family and I discovered this beautiful Hostal in Boca de Carmarioca. We stayed here for 10 days last summer. Enrique and his wife Anelis occupy the apartment downstairs and were always available to help us organize activities. Anelis is a fantastic cook and we dined often at the Hostal. The rooms are spotless clean and very comfortable. Enrique and Anelis are seasoned hosts and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Boca is only 15 minutes from the airport, the Saturno Caves and Coral Beach (out of this world snorkeling)
If the big 'all inclusive' resorts aren't your thing and you're looking for an authentic cuba experience in proximity to Varadero and Havana, Hostal Chanely is the perfect choice.

Ma famille et moi avons découvert ce magnifique Hostal à Boca de Carmarioca. Nous avons séjourné ici pendant 10 jours l'été dernier. Enrique et sa femme Anelis occupent l'appartement du rez-de-chaussée et étaient toujours disponibles pour nous aider à organiser des activités. Anelis est un cuisinier fantastique et nous avons souvent dîné à l'Hostal. Les chambres sont impeccables et très confortables. Enrique et Anelis sont des hôtes chevronnés et se sont mis en quatre pour rendre notre séjour mémorable. Boca est à seulement 15 minutes de l'aéroport, des grottes de Saturno et de la plage de corail (snorkeling hors de ce monde)
Si les grands hotels `` tout compris '' ne vous conviennent pas et que vous recherchez une expérience authentique de Cuba à proximité de Varadero et de La Havane, l'Hostal Chanely est le choix parfait.

CUBA IN 5 MINUTES
Welcome to my channel, with great pleasure I am releasing my first travel blog video! I wanted to capture my 11 day trip in under 5 five minutes. This country never fails to take my breath away. After three long years I finally get to go back to my home country to visit my family and go out to some of the most beautiful places of Cuba. My favorite thing about the island is always being on the go.
Detailed video guide:
0:00-0:08 Day 1: It was 13 hours worth of traveling from Austin to Cienfuegos, Cuba. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, Fort Lauderdale International Airport, Jose Martí International Airport in Havana, Cuba, and the drive to Cienfuegos, Cuba (not in the video I was sleeping in the car).
0:09-0:18 Day 2: This day I walked all the way to my hairdressers house and got a complete make over done. The salon is Salon Ataury in Cienfuegos, Cuba.
0:19- 1:11 Day 3: Woke up early that morning to drive to Trinidad, Cuba. We walked around the town, climbed up the National Museum of the Struggle Against Bandits to where you could over look the city, went to the center of Trinidad where I danced happily at the park, we had a couple of drinks at “La bogedita Del medio” and enjoyed some live salsa music. We ended our day at playa Ancon which is also in Trinidad, Cuba.
1:12- 1:31 Day 4: We took a bici-taxi throughout “El malecon de Cienfuegos”, visited the pier that is behind “Hotel Jagua”, & walked through “el boulevard” which a walkway where there’s a bunch of little stores & artisan shops.
1:32-1:38 Day 5: I stayed in that morning. We did go out to eat later that night at a restaurant called “2212” to celebrate my cousins husband birthday and then went out for some drinks at a bar called “la melodia”.
1:39-1:54 Day 6: Grandmas birthday party! All of our family got together to celebrate her 79th birthday. I also celebrated my grandmothers birthday with her for the first time in my life.
1:55- 2:19 Day 7: It was a very chill day we drove around in an old school Chevy, my mom bought some delicious avocados in our neighborhood off of a man who walks throughout the neighborhood, and we went out to “el malecon” at night to walk around.
2:20- 2:43 Day 8: We went to “el delfinario de ranch luna”. Here we visit their new inflatable water park that opened up a few months ago and watched the dolphin show.
2:44- 3:56 Day 9: We went up to “El Nicho” which is a smaller town in Cuba to visit my grandfather. That day we helped him with his cows before he took us up through the trail. My grandfather is a legend in this town so we were able to enter without a guide because he was our guide up to the waterfalls. On our way out we stopped on the road a few times to look at the green scenery.
3:57-4:08 Day 10: I took a carriage ride up to town to pick up some last minute stuff before we left. We ended our outing by having a couple of drinks at the poolside bar of “Hotel Union” in Cienfuegos, Cuba.
4:09- 4:25 Day 11: Time to repeat the same 13 hours of travel all the way back to Texas! Home sweet home.

Fusterlandia, The Joyful Art Kingdom Of Cuba's José Fuster
Late morning on February 19, 2015 we arrive at Fusterlandia, the sunshiny, fanciful art kindom José Rodriguez Fuster. More than fifty homes and other buildings in this small community outside of Havana have been inspired or created by the very popular Cuba artist. Walking to Casa Fuster we see beautiful and colorful murals, sculptures and ceramics. His residence, which includes his workshop and showroom, is the most outstanding. Every part of it is a work of art. From the rooftop, we see unique views of neighborhood. Back in 1992 when there were only 8 hours of electricity available per day in Havana and Cuba was facing an economic calamity after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Fuster considered abandoning his endeavor. Fortunately he persevered. Many of his neighbors helped him with his creations, but everything was paid by Fuster himself. He makes money from the sale of his small ceramic pieces and paintings. Though inspired by many artists, including Gaudi, and Picasso, he has developed his own unique and exuberant style.
