LATUR MSRTC BUS DEPOT : MSRTC ST BUSES : LATUR , MAHARASHTRA , INDIA
Latur is a city in Maharashtra State — wherein it is the fourth biggest city of Marathwada Region in India. It is the administrative headquarters of Latur district and Latur Taluka. The city is a tourist hub surrounded by many historical monuments, including Udgir Fort and Kharosa Caves. The people in Latur are called Laturkar. The most spoken language in Latur is Marathi. The city's quality of education attracts students from all over Maharashtra.
Latur's population, as of the 2011 census, is 396,955.
Most residents of the city speak Marathi (62% per district census, urban areas), with Urdu (18%) and Hindi (9%) also being widely spoken.
Latur is connected by roads with various major cities of Maharashtra and other states. Road connectivity is excellent, and roads connecting to Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Satara, Kolhapur, Sangli, and Aurangabad are being upgraded to four-lane highways. Latur city has one national highway running through it, NH 361.
The scheme of nationalisation of passenger transport services was started as early as 1932 by the State of Hyderabad, which was one of the pioneers in the field of public road transport, first in collaboration with the railways and then as a separate Government Department. After the reorganisation of the Indian states and with an effective date from 1 July 1961, the Marathwada State Transport was amalgamated with the Bombay State Road Transport Corporation into the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation. The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) and numerous other private bus operators provide a bus service to all parts of the state.

Latur is served by Latur Airport, which is near Chincholiraowadi, 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) northwest of the city. The Airport facilities include aircraft fuelling, night landing with navigational aids, aircraft parking, CAT VII airport fire fighting and rescue service. A well equipped terminal building has VIP lounges, departure and arrival lounges, transit suites and snooze cabins, visitors' waiting area, and a cafeteria.

The Latur-Miraj Railway (metre gauge) runs for 391 miles (629 km) north-west from Latur city to Miraj on the south-western section of the Great Indian Peninsula Railway and was built between 1929 and 1931.
The station (code: LUR) is located on the Latur-Miraj section of the Solapur railway division of the Central Railway zone. The Manmad-Kacheguda broad-gauge railway line, which emanates from the Vikarabad-Latur-Road-Parli trunk route at Latur Road, is an important artery of traffic in Latur district. It also serves as a link between Aurangabad and Hyderabad.
Latur has rail connectivity with Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Manmad, Aurangabad, Nanded, Parbhani, Parli Vaijnath, Osmanabad, Mudkhed, Adilabad, Basar, Nizamabad, Nashik and Kachiguda.
The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation abbreviated as (MSRTC, or simply ST), is the state run bus service of Maharashtra, India which serves routes to towns and cities within Maharashtra as well as to its adjoining states. It has a fleet strength of 18449 buses. It also offers a facility for online booking of tickets for all buses. Recently From 21 may 2020 Corporation Started Goods Transportation, Private Bus Body Building, Private Vehicle Tyre Remoulding.
MSRTC is operating a fleet of approximately 18,449 buses that ferry 6.7 million passengers daily.
The Ordinary, Parivartan, Asiad and City Buses are built at MSRTC's in-house workshops at Dapodi, Aurangabad, and Nagpur on Ashok Leyland and TATA chassis. These workshops produce as many as 20,000 buses per year on average. The corporation has nine tyre retreading plants along with 32 divisional workshops. The Shivneri air conditioned bus service consists of Volvo 9400R buses and Scania Metrolink buses. The Shivshahi buses are air-conditioned luxury buses which are operated by MSRTC and some private contractors.
In 2018, MSRTC added approximately a 1,000 special non-AC Vithai buses, which were introduced to ferry passengers to the pilgrim town of Pandharpur in Solapur district. They have a seating capacity of 45 seats and a similar design to that of 'Parivartan' buses.
In 2019,the MSRTC introduced new non-air conditioned buses with beds and recliner chairs specially designed for long overnight routes. Extra facilities like reading lamp, night lamp, charging point, fan and two huge storage compartments have also been provided.

उदगीर किल्ला | महाराष्ट्रातील सर्वात सुंदर भुईकोट किल्ला | Udgir Fort | संपूर्ण माहिती | Drone Shots
महाराष्ट्रातील लातूर जिल्ह्यातील प्रसिद्ध भुईकोट किल्ला. उदगीर हे लातूर जिल्ह्यातील तालुक्याचे ठिकाण असून लातूरपासून ६५ किमी. अंतरावर वसले आहे. उदगीरच्या आसपास पसरलेल्या टेकड्यांना ‘उदयगिरी’ हे नाव असावे, त्यावरून ‘उदगीर’ हे नाव पडले, असा एक मतप्रवाह आहे. तसेच उदगीर किल्ल्यातील उदागीर बाबांच्या नावावरून उदगीर हे नाव अस्तित्वात आले असावे, असे म्हटले जाते.
उदगीरचा किल्ला ज्या टेकडीवर वसलेला आहे, ती टेकडी एका खोल दरीतील दोन खोऱ्यांच्या आत आहे. किल्ल्याच्या पश्चिमेला व पूर्वेला या खोऱ्यांचे फाटे फुटलेले आहेत, तर उत्तरेला मोठी दरी आहे. म्हणजेच पूर्व, पश्चिम व उत्तरेस नैसर्गिक खोरे व दक्षिणेस उदगीर शहर वसलेले आहे.
उदगीर शहराच्या उत्तरेस चौबारा ते किल्ला वेस या मार्गाने पुढे भुईकोट किल्ला दिसतो. किल्ल्याभोवती खंदक असून सर्वत्र त्याची उंची व रुंदी समान दिसत नाही. खंदक पार करून पहिल्या प्रवेशद्वारापर्यंत पोहोचण्यासाठी खंदकावर एक दगडी पूल आहे. खंदकाची भिंत दगडी असून उदगीरच्या पश्चिमेस असणाऱ्या तलावातील पाणी यात सोडण्याची व्यवस्था होती.
उदगीरवर वेळोवेळी यादव, काकतीय, बहमनी, बरीदशाही, निजामशाही, आदिलशाही, इमादशाही, मोगल, मराठे व हैदराबादच्या निजामांनी राज्य केले. यादव राजा दुसरा सिंघण (कार. १२१०–४६) याच्या कारकिर्दीत उदगीर ‘अंबादेश’ मंडळातील देशविभागाचे स्थान होते. याचा एक उल्लेख यादवांच्या राजवटीतील सेनापती खोलेश्वर याच्या अंबाजोगाई येथील १२२८ (शके ११५०) च्या एका शिलालेखात ‘उदगिरी’ या नावाने आलेला आहे. उदगीर हे काकतीयांच्या सरहद्दीवरील ठाणे असल्यामुळे तेथे यादव सैन्याची छावणी होती. काकतीयांच्या गणपती नावाच्या राजाने उदगीरवर ताबा मिळविल्याचा उल्लेख त्याच्या उपरपल्ली शिलालेखात (इ. स. १२३५) आलेला आहे. यादवांनी हा प्रदेश पुन्हा परत मिळविला, अशी माहिती कान्हरदेव यादवाच्या १२५८ च्या कान्हेगाव लेखातून मिळते. कान्हरदेवाच्या राजवटीत उदगीरदेश हे लातूर मंडळातील गोपाल राष्ट्रौड याच्या अधिकार कक्षेत समाविष्ट होते. महानुभाव साहित्यातील नोंदीवरून व महिकावतीच्या बखरीनुसार रामचंद्र यादवाचा पुत्र भिल्लम (सहावा) हा यादव राजवटीच्या अखेरीस उदगीरचा शासक असल्याची माहिती मिळते.
चौदाव्या शतकात हा भाग बहमनी राजवटीच्या ताब्यात गेला. उदगीर येथील किल्ला कधी व कोणाच्या राजवटीत बांधला याची ठोस माहिती मिळत नाही. या किल्ल्याचा सर्वप्रथम उल्लेख बहमनी सुलतान शिहाबुद्दीन महमूद (कार. १४८२-१५१८) याच्या काळात मिळतो. दस्तूर दिनार या सरदाराचे बंड यशस्वीपणे मोडून काढल्याप्रीत्यर्थ कुली कुतुब यास वैयक्तिक खर्चासाठी त्याने हा किल्ला एका वर्षासाठी दिला होता. १४९२ मध्ये कासीम बरीदलाही औसा आणि कंधार येथील किल्ल्यांबरोबर उदगीरचा किल्ला जहागिरी म्हणून दिल्याचा उल्लेख मिळतो.
पुढे कासीम बरीदने आपला पुत्र अमीर बरीदला हा किल्ला दिला (१५०४). बहमनींच्या विघटनानंतर १५१७ मध्ये बरीद आणि माहूरचा जहागीरदार खुदावंदखान हबशी यांच्यात उदगीर येथे लढाई होऊन हबशी मारला गेला व किल्ला पुन्हा अमीर बरीदच्या ताब्यात राहिला. अमीर बरीदच्या काळात आदिलशाहीबरोबर संघर्ष सुरू झाला होता. अमीरच्या मृत्यूनंतर त्याचा पुत्र अली बरीदशाह सुलतान बनला. त्याच्या काळात बुऱ्हाण निजामशहाने उदगीर किल्ला जिंकून नंतर इमादशाहाकडे सुपुर्द केला (१५४८). परंतु इमादशाहाने दयाभाव दाखवून पुन्हा तो बरीदकडे सुपुर्द केला. त्यानंतर बरीच वर्षे हा किल्ला बरीदशाहीकडे राहिला. त्यानंतर मुर्तझा निजामशहा (कार. १५६५–१५८८) याने तो निजामशाहीत समाविष्ट करून घेतला.
खान दौरान या मोगल सरदाराने निजामशाहीकडून हा किल्ला घेतला (१६३६). तसेच मोगलखान कोका याची या किल्ल्याचा किल्लेदार म्हणून नियुक्ती केली गेली (१६३७). तसा उल्लेखही किल्ल्यातील एका कमानीवरील फार्सी शिलालेखात आहे. १७२४ पर्यंत सजावरखान उल्मुल्क, खातमखान व अन्य मोगल उदगीर किल्ल्याचे किल्लेदार होऊन गेले. १६८५ मध्ये खातमखानाने या किल्ल्यात काही वास्तू बांधल्या संबंधीचा एक शिलालेख आहे. १७१५ मध्ये मोगल-मराठे यांच्यात तह होऊन या प्रदेशातून चौथाई व सरदेशमुखी वसूल करण्याचे हक्क मराठ्यांना मिळाले होते. १७२४ मध्ये हा किल्ला निजामाकडे गेला. १७६० मध्ये येथे मराठे व निजाम यांच्यात उदगीरची प्रसिद्ध लढाई झाली. यात मराठ्यांनी निजामाचा पराभव करून तहात ६० लक्ष रुपयांचा मुलूख मिळवला. परंतु पुढच्याच वर्षी पानिपतच्या लढाईच्या संकटामुळे या तहाची अंमलबजावणी होऊ शकली नाही. मराठ्यांकडून या लढाईचे नेतृत्व सदाशिवराव भाऊ यांनी केले होते. १८१९ व १८२० मध्ये निजाम राजवटीविरुद्ध मराठवाड्यात बंड झाले. त्यांपैकी उदगीर येथील देशमुखांचे बंड प्रसिद्ध आहे. १८२० मधील या उठावात देशमुखाने हा किल्ला बळकावला होता. १९४८ साली उदगीर स्वतंत्र भारतात सामील केले गेले.
