This was my summer July trip to Romania. I decided to visit Romania in the summer because the weather is nicer and Romania is suitable for hiking in the mountains in the summer. Romania's Fagaras mountains are amazing, but quite challenging and dangerous in bad weather. Fortunately, I had beautiful weather all the time in Romania, even in the mountains. I managed to hike the part of the Fagaras mountains with the hike to the highest mountain Varful Moldoveanu 2544 m.
In the next part of my trip through Romania, I visited the cities of Sibiu, Brasov, Fagaras, Iasi and the capital Bucharest. All Romanian cities have something in intresting, and the city of Sibiu was particularly beautiful. I traveled mainly by train for part of the trip and sometimes I even had to hitchhike. In Romania, hitchhike is relatively easy, and thanks to that I saw, for example, the Vidraru Dam or the Arges Monastery. I got to Bran Castle from Brasov by bus and in the same day I visited Peles Castle by train. All intresting places are relatively accessible by bus or train, you just need to plan everything in advance. There are not many connections in Romania.
Enjoy my video from Romania in which you can see 12 Things to Do in Romania / 12 míst, která musíte vidět a navštívit v Rumunsku:

Romania most beautiful places
Romania is full of picturesque landscapes, historical sightseeing, and admiring views. When visiting the county, a traveler plunges into the atmosphere of relaxation and joy. This is the place when time stops, and a person can admire a lovely pastime. Romania is rich in adorable views. These include natural parks and gardens, historical monuments, and spectacular art pieces. The country is the place that managed to successfully combine the heritage of nature and history with modern buildings. Thus, each tourist will find sightseeing to his/her taste.
Various famous locations have different styles. Here, you can observe either urban jungles or rural landscapes. When you pass along the streets of a city, you admire the sophisticated architecture of different epochs. The country has preserved historical monuments related to different centuries. Thus, the place will be interesting either for ancient or modern architecture fans. Nature lovers can visit a national park. After an intensive excursion in the city, a tourist can have rest sitting in a shady alley and admiring the picturesque nature.
The capital of the state is not the only place that is worth a traveler’s attention. If you come to the country for several days, do not stay in the city through your holidays. Leave a day or even two to visit the suburbs. You’ll open a completely different view to yourself. You’ll feel the taste of freedom and unity with nature. Mountains, plains, and cliffs will leave you speechless. When staying at the foot of a mountain or on the edge of a precipice, admiring landscapes will make you hold your breath.
This is what you can see in the video. Observing the territory from the bird’s eye view is the most memorable pastime. Our drone has shot the most admiring places in the country. If you’re going to visit the state, do not skip an opportunity to visit to the highest point of the state (for example, climb a mountain, go to an observation deck). You’ll observe the same views in reality but your feelings will be one hundred times stronger. Believe that this activity won’t leave you indifferent. Emotions will overwhelm you.
Romania best places to visit:
1. City of Bucharest
2. City of Constanta
3. City of Iasi

Numerous cafes, restaurants, cinemas, night clubs for going out at night;
City tours and excursions to local attractions;
Museums, galleries, exhibitions;
Sunbathing under sunlight;
Renting a yacht and making a voyage across a local reservoir;
Visiting craft farms and finding out secrets of local production;
Getting acquainted with local traditions and customs.
The list of offered activities is not complete. Each traveler has different priorities, aims, and tastes. Thus, there is no single guide on where to go. Everyone decides for him-/herself where to go and what to see. Switzerland has a great variety of options. The country is ready to please different travelers and offers exciting ways to spend a weekend. Pick the most suitable ones according to your interests and preferences. When choosing the place to live in during a trip, travelers have a choice between several options. These are a comfortable hotel in the city, a room in a guest house, a cozy country house, a bungalow near a reservoir. Everything is done so that to satisfy each visitor and provide him/her with the desired facilities.
To draw the line, make sure that Romania is the place you must visit in your life to discover another reality and meet people that stick to other traditions, customs, and believes. This is one of the places on the world map where a tourist can feel freedom and satisfaction just walking through the city or resting somewhere out of busy urban corners.

Wiki: Iasi is the second largest city in Romania and the seat of Iași County. Located in the historical region of Moldavia, Iași has traditionally been one of the leading centres of Romanian social, cultural, academic and artistic life. The city was the capital of the Principality of Moldavia from 1564 to 1859, then of the United Principalities from 1859 to 1862, and the capital of Romania from 1916 to 1918.
Known as The Cultural Capital of Romania, Iași is a symbol in Romanian history. The historian Nicolae Iorga said There should be no Romanian who does not know of it. Still referred to as The Moldavian Capital, Iași is the main economic and business centre of the Moldavian region of Romania. In December 2018, Iași was officially declared Historical capital of Romania.
At the 2011 census, the city proper had a population of 290,422 (making it the fourth most populous in Romania at the time). With 500,668 residents (as of 2018), the Iași urban area is the second most populous in Romania (after Bucharest), whereas more than 500,000 people live within its peri-urban area.
Home to the oldest Romanian university and to the first engineering school, Iași is one of the most important education and research centres of the country, and accommodates over 60,000 students in five public universities. The social and cultural life revolves around the Vasile Alecsandri National Theater (the oldest in Romania), the Moldova State Philharmonic, the Opera House, the Iași Athenaeum, a famous Botanical Garden (the oldest and largest in Romania), the Central University Library (the oldest in Romania), the high quality cultural centres and festivals, an array of museums, memorial houses, religious and historical monuments. The city is also known as the site of the largest Romanian pilgrimage which takes place each year, in October.
