Where It All Began: Visiting My Ancestral Village in Fuzhou, China's Little America| 美籍福州女孩的回乡之旅
You've probably heard of Chinatowns around the world. But did you know that there is a Little America in China?
Grace was born and raised in the US but her family is from a village outside of Fuzhou, Fujian, China. Prior to this trip, she visited Fuzhou only once in her life, at age seven. It's her first time returning to her ancestral hometown with her partner in crime, Yongjian, on a heritage-seeking trip to visit each other's hometowns and learn about each other's families and local cultures. Join us as we take you on an adventure through the ancestral village of Grace's family.

A friend of ours was giving us a ride down one of the city streets in Tingjiang. Tingjiang is a city of just over five thousand people. It's really close to where we stay when in China.

Tingjiang National Wetland Park in SE China
Located in the Changting County, southeast China's Fujian Province, Tingjiang National Wetland Park shoulders its responsibility to keep the soil and water, and attracts thousands of visiters every year

Haitan Island is the first island in Fujian Province and the fifth largest island in China, located in the southeast coast of China, in Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, Fujian Province, China, and is the main island of Pingtan, 128 kilometers away from Fuzhou City, and only 68 nautical miles away from Hsinchu Port in Taiwan Province in the east. It is named after its resemblance to an altar, standing in the middle of the sea. The island is often filled with arashi air from the east, which is called arashi for short, alias Donglan, and formerly called Haishan.
The famous monuments and natural scenery of Haidan Island include Thirty-six Foot Lake, Shih Pai Yang Reef, Immortal's Well, a piece of tile and the ruins of Shell Mound Head, Longfeng Head Resort and Tan Nan Bay Beach.

This is my memorable experience in Fu Zhou, China.
Clips showing places like: Gu Shan, Zuo Hai Gong Yuan, Fu Zhou's Zoo, Yuan Yang Lu, Xia Men Airport and along the expressway travelling to Xia Men Airport.
I seriously miss the food 锅边胡 (something like that.. correct me if i'm wrong) and the drink 王老吉, 优乐美珍珠奶茶 and the long black can coconut drink.. cant find them in my location =( (Those who have been to China will know what im talking about). Also love the TV channel programme showing 小品 and 小鱼儿与花无缺. Anyway, really love the experience there.. Will definitely go back again! ^^
